How to unlock the The Wait is Over achievement in Blasphemous 2 - Definitive Guide
This guy is the penultimate boss, and his 2nd phase is quite easily the most difficult boss phase in the entire game if you try to go toe to toe with him. I’m sure there’s a basic rhythm to his attacks but I just couldn’t get it down.
First phase is pretty straightforward. Equip Ruego Al Alba and dash towards the boss at every opportunity and start slashing. He will teleport around the place shooting projectiles that seem incredibly inaccurate if you stand close to him.
If he positions himself to the sides, try to get as tight to the wall as possible and start spamming upward slashes. He will either spawn loads of projectiles, or lightning barriers. The projectiles can just be ignored. The lightning barriers can either be ignored (if he’s firing them away from you, or you should dash past them so you’re on the opposite side and you can safely spam upward slashes.
If he positions himself high in the air, get under him and spam upward slashes. He will spawn a fireball eventually, dash left or right then double jump up and dash back tight into him, get a couple of slashes in and then do the Weight of Sin (down+X) and the extra height you get should put you out of reach of the fire wave that spawns below you.
Whenever you get Blood Pact charged up, pop it and go to town. His health melts pretty fast.
Phase 2 should be upon you quite quickly, except this is where you are in what feels like an un-winnable duel.
To fix this problem, equip Sarmiento & Centella.
Ideally you’d have all the base damage upgrades possible for the weapon but you may not have the martyrdom points, consider going to find more to bank those upgrades.
You could also equip altarpiece favours to boost damage for S&C but I didn’t.
Equip all the damage resist you can, especially Mystical damage, otherwise you’ll need to heal after tanking pretty much every hit.
You will be spamming Sacred lunge (RT+X) left and right the entire time into the boss in 2nd phase. Took me 2 tries using this method.
