How to unlock the M.C. Hammer achievement in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Definitive Guide

This one is simple to do to pull off. Under default controls, throw is B+C which equals Y+B on the Xbox controller. I found it best to set throw to a trigger, in my case RT.

Plug in a second controller and do a Versus match. As soon as it starts, move your characters together and have the second character attempt a throw. As soon as you press the throw button on the second controller, press it on the first one. Your character should knock the opponent away with a blue flash and you'll see Throw Escape appear on the screen. Repeat 4 more times and you'll get the achievement.

Throw escapes are executed by using a throw (B+C) as the opponent tries to grab you. Usually once you hear the sound of them gripping you, it's your cue to press B+C as well. I personally set this input to L2 on my primary controller from the pause menu and set it to R2 on my secondary controller. This way, after pressing R2 with player 2 I simply pressed L2 with player one and earned this in a matter of seconds. As the description states, make sure you earn all 5 escapes in ONE ROUND.

To do this you need to tech yourself out of an opponent's grab by pressing the grab input (BC/+) when you see the exclamation mark over your character. Keep in mind that mashing other buttons beforehand will make it impossible to break out of the throw afterwards.

You need technique to avoid the throw. When grabbing, press (BC/ + ) when you see an exclamation mark above your character.

Done with a friend or second hand. ^_^

One makes a grab for a triangle + circle, the second breaks out for a triangle + circle.
You need to press at the moment when there is a green exclamation mark above your head.
The trophy is given to the player who repelled the tackle 5 times per round.
