How to unlock the Score! achievement in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Definitive Guide

Both of the solutions prior sum everything up great. Use the second controller to interrupt your losses in order to keep your progress, set the versus rounds to one and face Carl. I've found that using Tager on beginner is the easiest means of completing this. I'll be explaining the inputs as follows using the in game notation which is...

X= A
Y = B
B= C
A = D

For this method, boot up score attack and press left bumper in order to turn beginner mode on for starters. Using this you can use his Gigantic Tager grapple with the tap of C. His lunging attack is forward C and if you hold B you'll execute his spinning distortion. Score Attack also helps you unlock the achievements for beating unlimited characters. Practice makes perfect, and persistence is key. Best of luck and look at the other solutions as this one is really just building up on what they are saying.

Please stick to controller buttons or game buttons. Mixing them int he same post is really confusing.

There's one instance of it and it shouldn't be too confusing given the fact there's no C button on the controller. Didn't think it'd be that confusing.

I play on an arcade stick and I have my buttons remapped, so I have no idea what Y corresponds to in the game's ABCD notation.

Y would be B on default controls. I'll update it just in case.

The easiest way to get this achievement is to use Tager. He has some crazy damage combos he can pull off against the first 10 or so characters ala Gigantic Tager > Gadget Finger > Gigantic Tager etc. The only problematic characters are Tager, Unlimited Hazama, and Unlimited Ragna. Unlimited Hakumen has a weakness to Tager's down-D move, and he always tries to counter it before it actually connects. Y Sledgehammer > C > Forward C > Atomic Collider (Zag C) is a very nice combo that you should use a lot and it doesn't take that long to master. If you need practice, doing some of Tager's challenges helps.

This achievement is the most technically difficult achievement in the game aside from the completion of 100 character missions. Expect a lot of time to be devoted to clearing this one.

Score Attack mode integrates the very highest level of AI that the game has to offer. In order to clear this mode, you must defeat all 14 standard characters in a row, with a few of them being the unlimited forms of the character. Each match is best 2 out of three which makes clearing the mode more difficult, considering the method most people use.

You need two controllers in order to perform this trick. Whenever you're about to lose, push start on the player 2 controller. You'll interrupt the match, giving you a second chance at defeating your opponents. You can do this as many times as you like.

The easiest way to defeat these opponents is to use Tager. His Gigantic Tager attack (two full circles and A or B) takes off a very large chunk of the enemies health. You only have to land it a few times to win, which simmers down to being the best chance at lucking your way into defeating these difficult opponents. I'm not sure if you can use your taunt to get a full meter in score attack mode, but you can give it a shot. His Emerald Tager Buster would only need to hit most opponents twice to defeat them.

TJ2012: you can't use unlimited characters in score attack.

Chris Plus: Using taunt to get full meter doesn't work on score attack :(

An easy way to beat Unlimited Ragna and Unlimited Rachel

Pick Tager in beginner mode.
At the beginning of the fight, go in the left corner and block everything
untill the opponent comes close to you, when he is, tap C (B button on xbox controller)
to perform the big chop, when you both come back to the ground, spam C,
with this move Tager grab the opponent from the ground and replace him on his feet.
Now coninue to spam C to grab him again and do the big chop one more time. then repeat the sequence again and again.

Doing this way you can easily perform your big chop 2 or 3 times in a raw
When, you see he's low on health (nearly 25 or 30%),
you can do your distorsion move by holding A
(X button on xbox controller) right after you replace him on his feet

For sure this method is a bit based on luck cause Ragna is very agressive and Rachel drops you a lot of craps that can break your spam sequence

But it's really harder to try to fight them normally,
personnally doing this way i beat Rachel in 2 tries and Ragna first try
Hope this helps

Score Attack has returned and it's even more of a pain than it was the last time around. Not only are the opponents a bit tougher, but there's more of them to boot. It's because of this you'll want to keep a second controller handy in order to interrupt the fights if they begin to look as if they won't go your way. Make sure you change the settings so that the round count for local versus is 1 in order to save yourself some time.

Your character of choice will be Iron Tager while using beginner mode (L1 on the character selection screen). By doing this, you'll be able to use his Gigantic Tager grab by simply pressing circle. You'll also be able to do the lunging swipe by pressing forward and circle. These two moves will be your two go-to attacks as they help close the gap and do some good damage to your foes. Some enemies can even be caught in a loop where they keep performing a Ukemi and you simply can grab them again. It's advised you play defensively against all foes, waiting for your chance to use this move. This method of fighting will take some getting used to, but the only way you'll learn is by trial and error. If there were a simple way to explain it to new players I'd be happy to, however this isn't the case.

By completing this mode, you'll earn each of the trophies associated with Unlimited Hazama, Rachel and Ragna along with this trophy itself. This is easily the most annoying trophy in the game, much more difficult than Arcade on Hell mode.

What makes Score Attack harder this time around is that you can no longer abuse easy specials, which means you will have to go through it knowing the character's moveset. If necessary, you can use beginner mode to help you out a bit. Having a second controller is highly recommended, as you can save yourself when you're about to lose by pressing start. However, have these options set on versus beforehand to help:

Rounds to win: 1
Timer: 30

Whenever you save yourself with the second controller with these options you'll only have to beat up your second controller for 1 round which will save you a lot of time. If you want various methods on how to beat score attack please follow this guide: Score Attack Strategy Guide
