How to unlock the "O" Is for Overachiever achievement in Blood Drive - Definitive Guide

This achievement is for placing first in every single one of the events within each cup in the Tournament Mode - this equates to 107 events, if my math serves me right. Personally I didn’t find this very hard to accomplish, it was just a bit of a grind.

One thing you should note which makes this achievement significantly easier /quicker/ less frustrating is that if you lose an event, you don’t have to restart the whole cup, you can just restart the zone you are in via the pause menu.

I found that Natalya is the best driver to consistently win events because of her high resistance to damage, high damage impact, ease of control and resistance to flipping out. You may feel more comfortable with one of the other drivers, but you should note that these tips I give will be based around using Natalya.

Zombie Roadkill & Elimination Version
Suggested Loadout: Shoot to Kill
In these events you will gain points through killing zombies, jockey’s, tank’s – basically all of the undead. The best way to gain a high score is to keep your killcount meter going – you have to achieve 25 kills before the red meter runs out, or your meter will reset. Keep in mind that you will not receive a bonus score if you die, so if you are low on health I’d suggest letting your meter run out and drive into a safe(ish) area. Once you’ve achieved around 600 kills I’d say you’re pretty much guaranteed to win, so just sit back and wait for the event to finish.

Total Massacre
Suggested Loadout: Shoot to Kill
This is basically the same as the above except you will also gain points for killing other drivers. Forget about them though and just treat it the same as before because points are still best attained through bonuses, so it’s not really worth attacking the drivers. Just be wary though that you will be more vulnerable in this event, thus your bonuses will be more at risk.

Demolition Derby
Suggested Loadout: Ramming Speed
In this event you will gain a point for each driver you kill. This is simple, just driver into the other drivers (boost into them if you have any available). Natalya has such a high damage impact that most of the time you will get an instant kill if it’s a direct hit. She also has a very powerful gun, but it can be a little tricky to aim with it at times, so I’d say just concentrate on the ramming and use it as a secondary, unless of course you’re really good with it.

Checkpoint Rally & Elimination Version
Suggested Loadout: Pimped
In these events you have to drive through the most checkpoints (yellow lights). As soon as you start the event I’d suggest boosting because Natalya has a very slow acceleration. Also I’d suggest using your invisibility ability to prevent the other cars from attacking you and throwing you off course. Take it easy around corners/ near indestructible objects and boost along the straights. Use your mini map to check the location of the next checkpoint and to make yourself aware of any approaching drivers. If anyone gets near you use your invisibility ability and if they get in front of you attack them, but keep your eyes on the road also!

King of the Skull
Suggested Loadout: Pimped
In this event you are required to hold the skull for the longest period of time. You can obtain the skull by either: driving into it at its spawn place, driving into the driver that is holding it, killing the driver that is holding it. Actually getting a hold of the skull is a little frustrating in my experience because there’s usually a massive pileup and you will be killed/ have the skull stolen before you have chance to even attempt to make a break with it, so it will require a bit of luck. I actually found it easiest to keep a distance and try and snipe the car with the skull and let everyone kill each other. Once you have the skull it’s fairly easy to keep a hold of it if you make use of boost and your invisibility ability. Try and keep away from indestructible objects because if you accidently skid into them and flip out you’ll be very vulnerable.

I hope this helps you guys out. Like I said it’s not really a very hard achievement like the ratio suggests, so don’t be intimidated by that. May take you a fair few hours to do, but at the end of it all you will be several hundred TA points better off, so just go for it!

Does the game keep track of this somewhere you can check, or do I just have to remember which ones I came in first?

I'm fairly certain it doesn't give you a way to check unfortunately.

Does anyone know if this requires you to win them all in the same go? For example, do I have to win every single event in Hardcore Cup, or will it take in account wins on previous playthroughs?

Superstar is definitely the way to go for this achievement. Natalya is great for most event types, but she's just too slow and bulky to win the races consistently (or any other events that rely on speed like King of the Skull).

Superstar is fast, has a solid starting weapon, and his rage move is extremely useful when playing race events. The only challenge I had with Superstar was the Demolition Derby event type. For that event, I'd suggest selecting a load out that gives Full Rage. Then drive around the zone and pick up the rail gun. Get near other vehicles and press cn_X to blind the other drivers. This will incapacitate them leaving them vulnerable to easy rail gun shots and kills. Aside from the demolition derby, you really shouldn't have too many problems winning 1st place consistently in any of the other event types especially if you memorize all the zones and abuse the mini-gun, saw blade, and infinite ammo pickups.

This is a hard one to get, but possible. I used Superstar for every tournament. When doing a demolition match i would use the "triple threat" loadout, when doing a king of the skull or checkpoint race, i would use the "pimped" loadout. For the zombie killing and total modes i would use "tank" for more ammo. Remember the main trick to this is you can restart the zone if you lose, which means you don't have to start from the very beginning.

The main trick is to keep using Superstar's flash ability, right at the start of checkpoint races gets you a pretty good headstart. Demolition matches slows and sometimes stops your opponent making it much easier. The skull matches use it whenever someone comes near and they'll usually swerve away.

yes, every single event, if you lose, quit out and you can start from the beginning of the cup you are on.

Question for anyone w/ this achievement: Do you have to do this like the "c is for champion" achievement; i.e - Win all the rounds in a streak for the current cup or can you do them across multiple attempts like for example: Win 1-19, lost 20,21, win 22-30 so you would then re-do the cup & win the ones you lost last time (20,21)?

i used your tips it worked very well, i would also add if you do demolition events with superstar always pickup the rail gun and aim at weak cars like bedlam or kelly to get easy kills cause natalya is a serious opponent in demolition events.

remember too... you can change events up depending how you restart a zone. either thro restart via pause menu, or quiting and restarting the zone that way. might help.

I have beat the championship w 7 drivers... so now I'm using the Jackson method cause he is who i have left. ill do some each night. so in a row yes... win each yes... but i dont think it has to be in one sitting does it... ill see and post.
