How to unlock the Gilded Youth achievement in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Definitive Guide

PLEASE NOTE: The method wherein you use the dismantle/create system to create multiple duplicates of items to sell DOESN'T work anymore. After the latest patch, the cost of Alkahest has been increased drastically, making it much less viable. The method I have here works in spades, but it is an END GAME method, meaning that you are going to have to wait until you're just about grinding out the rest of the items to do this, BUT, this method will make your life so much easier in the long run.

Alright, so I am going to try to compress this down as much as I can, but with this method I make about 450k in 10 minutes. It helps immensely with end game costs for Alkahest for completing the item list, as well as getting this achievement without having to worry about it. So, I will create a list of steps you need to follow in order to achieve this.

1) Get the Augment LCK from the Death Trap enemy, and get it to Grade 9, Rank 9. The best place to farm these guys is right outside the warp room in Inferno Caverns.

2) Use your Augment LCK shard to create 9 Augment Gold shards, and once you have created 9, get it to Rank 9 as well. Now, you notice you will have Augment LCK and Augment Gold set as white skill shards which means they're always active.

3) Complete the food side-quests all the way up until you get the Gambler's Ring.

4) Make as many LCK boosting food recipes as you can and eat them.

5) Get you Shard Master achievement (absorb ALL shards). This nets you the Gebel's glasses item from Johannes in his alchemy room

6) Since you have all shards, this means you should have Gebel's glasses, and the Accelerator shard.

Quick addendum: P00R GRENDEL mentions that if you also max the Detective's Eye crystal, it turns into a passive that allows you to collect items from a further distance, making it easier to collect the additional lanterns on the side rooms, while still maintaining your speed!

7) Once you have all of your items, you want to put everything on, and prepare yourself for some serious gold intake.

Below is the exact set-up I use so you can replicate it

Now, once you have your gear, you're all set! What you want to do now is go to the Forbidden Underground Waterway to this room where the crosshair is.

External image

Once there, you'll notice at the bottom of the room that there are three pink torches. What you're going to do is hold down RB to keep Accelerator active, and run in and out of this room from left to right. In the room to the left, you can snag an additional two torches, and one in the room to the right, and you should be getting six torches per run from left to right through these rooms. Just keep on running back and forth and watch your miles turn to gold!

If anyone has any questions or perhaps my solution needs some more info, feel free to inquire or request! Happy trails!

If you upgrade Detective's Eye all the way it also becomes passive and grants an area around Miriam that picks up items further away. It can allow you to increase the number of candles hit in the side rooms whilst keeping the process really fast.

Is this cumulative or do I need to have 500,000 gold at once?

Less complicated method: just reach (almost) the end of the game, try to sell all your stuff with the Money is Power shard on.

This is just a tip to compliment other methods - take advantage of the lack of auto-saves! If all you want is the achievement and don't need the money to spend, save your game and then sell everything you have. If you make 200,000 selling your items, you can reload and grind for just 300,000 gold using your preferred method (alchemy, millionaire's room, augment gold shard.)
Maybe you'll need to grind for less, maybe more. Just do the maths based on your profits from selling everything.
Save after your grind, sell your items to reach 500,000, watch that achievement pop then reload.

First you need to the shard alchemical bounty from the demon 019 Zagan, bull with wings. Raising the rank will increase the chances of crafting 2 or even 3 items with Johannes. It will cost you Alkahest to dismantle your item, but you will counter that cost with what you’re selling. So what you do is create an expensive piece of equipment for the price of two. At the point where I am in the game, I would make a two hander sword call Schedar. You need a crystal, ice ring, and a two handed sword called Gram. If it doesn’t double, just dismantle and try again. In theory, you can just rinse and repeat without fear of truely losing any materials. This solution should work with the True Haggler achievement as well.

Just adding to this wonderful solution. If you level the “Alchemical Bounty” shard to Rank 9 it becomes a Skill Shard. Then when you craft an item you will always make 3 of them.

To Further Add onto Binary's Comment Skill and Passive Shards Actually Stack. so If you have the Alchemical Bounty Skill AND Shard on at the Sametime then Crafting Recipes will always Yield 5 at a time. This is a fantastic way to mass dismantle rare mats and sell items like Pleiades in bulk at end game.

Next version will raise the price of Alkahest to 800. So try this asap, this method wont be effective next week.

Yeah, this has gone now. Alkahest cost 800 and some items require 15+ to dismantle, instead of the 1 or 2 pre patch.

thanks😁. Once I realized the potential that alchemical bounty had, it was only a matter of time to take advantage of it. It does make the game rediculously easy now that I can afford any of the high grade meals.

Is this solution still beneficial post-patch? Any weapons you can sell that yield enough gold to cover the Alkahest cost? Making a small profit off one item isn't so bad if you take Alchemical Bounty to Rank 9 and get 5 weapons to sell from the craft...

Alternatively, slightly south-west of the fast travel in the Hidden Desert is a fairly easy farming spot for "Amy", she drops 2x Alkahest at once. I'm doing that run at the moment to get Alkahest to dismantle Ayamur to get Gold to upgrade Alchemical Bounty.......................

There is a good and at the same time legal way to raise money. To do this, we put on armor with spikes, go to the train (again) and climb onto the roof. We stand and knock down the lights.
upd: it is advisable to pump up your luck by about 50 and put a fragment of “addition of gold” (in the enchantment) in the enchantment, then coins worth 100 will begin to fall in packs.

Coins are falling next to me
But you can upgrade the fragment that gives an eye in caves to level 9, so that items are automatically collected and then the method works

Clarification to the tip from Seferioth .
The best place to farm with the specified build: four statues in the first location of the castle (immediately after the bridge). We run around like crazy here and there. In a minute (!) you can score an average of 25 thousand (I had Luck 90). With this situation, gold will, in principle, cease to be a problem.

It actually works with a drop of 100-500 coins next to Johannes, we rush around and break 2 lamps back and forth.

Towards the end of the game you will have a decent amount of rare and expensive ammunition, as well as pumped up fragments.
Save and go to the store, sell everything valuable until you receive the required amount.
After receiving the trophy, simply load the game from your last save and continue playing.

Unfortunately, the train was nerfed in the patch, and the coins drop by 1-50 gold.
For farming, it is better to upgrade the Augment gold ability to rank 9 and grade. The ability is crafted from the Augment luck ability, which drops from one of the demons.
Turn this ability on as a passive one and additionally equip it in the yellow shard slot. After this, equip the Week points (given for collecting all the shards) and run on Accelerate through the lamps in any place convenient for you.

In order for the train scheme to work in 2021, you need to level up your luck to 50+ and a shard that allows you to see hidden walls (crawling eye). After leveling it up to level 9, even without equipping it (maybe this is a bug), you will constantly see hidden walls, as well as automatically pick up items.
Get on the train and go afk for 5 minutes about your business, and then back. And so on for at least 1-1.5 hours.
In one go, it drops from 8 to 15k, which will allow you to save 200k in 1.5 hours, and you can get the rest by selling items and fragments.
