This is a Four part achievement,

1. Wreck 500 cars in Destruction

should be about 3/4 way to this by time you finish single player , just do a couple events again and you got it

2. Land 100 Longshots in Destruction

Again , this will just come as you play events , to get faster just hang back while shooting

3. Wreck 50 red cars in Destruction

these come later in the game as H2 Hummers , they need 3 bolts and fire a shunt when killed

4. In any Destruction event earn 5 lights and land every bolt

THIS is the hard one. this is probably the one that got you reading this solution , go and do the 1st one under shannon and use the R230 F1 Team R26 , or anycar with a antenna on top , use the antenna to help aim your car and after a few tries you should have it. You need 60 points in that event, you cant just get 4 main lights and the fan run , or 3 and fan target + fanrun , it has to be the 5 main lights.

*edit* If you are having trouble , try this
when it 1st starts , shoot right when you can and you'll hit one , try to get another before the two sharp left turns , then when you get on the straight with the fanrun icon , try to hit 3 more , that way the others spawn at the end, shoot one or two more in those corners <-- this is the hard one , after that uturn more should spawn on the straightaway , just line up behind them and you should get enough, if you can aim for ones in front to get combo bonuses

I just wanted to add a comment to the great solution above by Tongue73. I originally used the BMW for acceleration (no antenna) and was doing quite well. I then randomly switched to the Ford Focus after several hours and completed it. Once I hit 60 points though, out of sheer habit, I kept going and hit at least 4-5 more cars (single shot). I then screwed up with around 90 points. Cheeve DID NOT UNLOCK.

The whole point of this solution: Once you hit 60 points (5 Lights/Gold), STOP IMMEDIATELY, PULL OVER AND WAIT FOR THE TIMER TO COUNTDOWN. : )

The first 3 parts of this "sticker" are relatively easy, so I will concentrate on the 4th part "In any Destruction event earn 5 lights and land every bolt"

I just got this achievement and I must admit I struggled (40 odd attempts at least!) - So I wanted to add a bit to the above as this worked for me:

Do the 1st available destruction event in Shannons list, it's by far the easiest;

Do not turn after starting the race, stay in a straight line - after collecting the 1st power up, fire 1 bolt, then a second later a second one (assuming the 1st shot only hits one car).Keep going straight and you should collect a second power up, at this point in time the third of the first set of green cars should be in your sights. This will take care of your first 9 points at least.

I would then follow Tongue73s advice on when to get the rest.

Also, don't worry too much about getting long shots, if you're doing this on easy (which you should), you should have (just) enough time to be pretty much behind every car you shoot at. Also, the bolts the cars fire when they are destroyed won't cause you too much hassle, avoid them if you can but you're only looking to shoot 20 cars at the very most for this achievement so you're not going to get wrecked by these.

Above all, be patient, and practice. I'd go with the advice of the others and look for a car with an aerial, I used Shannons car for this.

I've also seen advice on other forums to use the inside view and place a piece of string down the middle of the screen so you always know where your shot will go. I didn't do this but it may be worth it if you're really struggling.

In my opinion this is the hardest acheivement in the game, good luck!

This is not a solution in itself but rather an addendum to the above regarding the fourth requirement (get five lights without missing a bolt). The current solutions advise against doing long shots. I'd like to add an exception.

If you're on a straight and a cluster of new cars show up (the yellow beams of light), aim directly for the largest concentration of beams. Even if you miss one of the closer cars, you'll definitely hit one of the new cars and get a longshot bonus.

I find the biggest problem with hitting cars close to you is that they tend to swerve a bit to avoid your shots. The far away cars swerve a lot less, so if you aim straight for the beams and they're not about to turn you'll hit them every time. Unless there's a car closer to you which gets hit instead, in any case, yay!

I'd also recommend using this method straight away at the beginning of the race. Even if you do miss a shot, it's a lot more efficient to restart the event than to race for a few minutes only to miss the last shot.
