How to unlock the Out of the darkness achievement in Bodycount - Definitive Guide

All Bodycount Siege mode maps have an exploit, please see map specific solution within each achievement.

This exploit has been previously found by J LEWIS 1 9 8 3 & a solution created by MajkelBlack,
but more detail was requested by XTimer 92 and this is what my solution will hopefully provide.

The exploit for Mine siege is tricky to do and it can leave your account/player that is going to stay alive vulnerable to falling from a hidden ledge or being shot at if not placed correctly.

If you go to the far right side of the sand bags which are close to were the starting spawn point is, drop down near a little bit of metal fencing and you can move yourself to the middle of the half sand bags but underneath on an invisible ledge on the cliff side:

If done correctly the AI start to congregate in the middle of the sand bag area, providing easier kills:

Care must be taken to ensure you are low enough that the AI do not come around the side of the sand bags and start shooting the "hidden" player, also the "hidden" player can be seen by the AI from a walkway that looks onto the invisible ledge so they may need to protect themselves or any AI that does hang around this area been disposed of quickly, I would also recommend crouching, please see below image for positioning reference:

There is one place you cant be seen by bots. Outside the building on the left hand site there is a small barricade made from sandbags. Just jump over it and you will be on the edge of the cliff. Look down carefully and jump on the ledge down there. Make yourself comfortable and listen how your partner is doing dirty job up there.

You need to be careful because sometimes random bot or grenade can ruin everything. Go as low as you can, crouch and enjoy your coffee.

Big thanks to J LEWIS 1 9 8 3 who has found this place.
Hope this solution will help.

I wasn't able to find such a ledge that could be landed on. If someone could add more details It'd be much appreciated.

"Ledge" is really a bad choice of words. It's actually a part of the cliff side which is not steep enough to actually cause you to slide. I tried a few methods down, but the best was just inching sideways. Once it looked like I was down far enough, I crouched. I did not take a round the whole match. However I still got hit by suicide detonations caused by my partner. The good news is there is no concussion to force you away from the cliff side. There is mention of a catwalk where the enemies can potentially engage you from. However, I never saw one there the entire match. My partner and I got this on the first try even with experimenting on how to get down to the "ledge".

The sieges can get quite difficult in later waves

On all the sieges (except 'Militarized Compound'), my partner and I struggled until we found a good camping spot.

This is probably the hardest siege. A decent camping spot can be found on in the tool shed on the second floor catwalk at the rear of the area (attached to the back of it is a raised catwalk platform where a lot of guys will jump down). One partner covers the hallway from which most guys will come, the other will cover the raised platform as much as possible.

You will be doing some juggling to support each other until the Kaluga comes along, as you are stuck with SMGs until then. Make sure you collect intel for explosive bullets for heavies (on earlier waves) and adrenaline for survivability when your partner eats it (as they likely will on several occasions).

If you have to GTFO, jump over the railing running along the side of the shed (using adrenaline if necessary), and book it down the stairs opposite to the catwalk that runs under a good portion of the level (and where the Kaluga will eventually spawn). The AI takes some time to follow you, at which point your partner will have likely respawned and you can figure out what to do.

This will be frustrating, as there are many heavies on later waves (though the Kaluga shreds them), and the lack of good weapons on earlier waves makes it difficult (I just stuck with the MP7 until the Kaluga spawned). Got through on fifth try.

1st weapon unlock: Unsure (never went for it, but likely a crap close range weapon)
2nd weapon unlock: Vector SMG
3rd weapon unlock: Kaluga

The 1st weapon unlock is the Super 90 Shotgun... In case anyone wanted to know.

This is a co-op mission; the Mine siege is the “Ore Mine” level. To get this trophy you will have to complete wave 20. During co-op missions a new gun becomes available every 5 rounds (a waypoint shows you where the guns are). These guns are always better than your starting weapons and these guns are critical for the success of the mission. Upgrading your guns cost a small amount of intel but it is always critical to pick up the round 10 and round 15 guns. Each level has different guns suited for the map and they are invaluable for the players to complete the 20 rounds. Below is the list of guns for this particular map.

-Round 5: Super90 - shotgun
-Round 10: Kriss - SMG
-Round 15: Kaluka - advanced Target assault rifle (best gun in the game)

Strategy: This map is huge and surprisingly easy. At the very bottom of the map overlooking a cliff is a tunnel. This tunnel only has two openings, a very low roof, and a few dumpsters for cover. The roof is so low enemies can’t throw grenades into them. Each player simply defends their end of the tunnel. If one player dies he needs to let the other player know so he can watch his back.

The size of the map and the location of the tunnel mean neither side should be too over burdened with enemies. Both players can kill the enemies they see spawn on cliffs in front of them. With the map being so large it takes a while for the enemies who don’t spawn on the lower section to get to the tunnel. This gives you valuable breathing time.

The only special enemy on this map is the suicide bomber. Take them out from a distance; if they get close they are the priority. Remember when the “Heavies” approach to press on the d-pad to activate your “explosive ammo” to make quick work of them.
