How to unlock the Joy of Painting with Bomberman achievement in Bomberman Ultra - Definitive Guide

This is actually the hardest trophy to obtain and is a little luck based. However, you will be able to obtain this trophy very easily with the correct matchmaking lobby and method. The key is to edit the Power-Ups so that you only have the Full Fire and Dangerous Bombs. Once the match starts, you need to quickly get your hands on both of these Power-Ups before the CPUs do. If a CPU has these Power-Ups, you will have to bomb them in order to get them to drop both upgrades. Once you have both Power-Ups, it creates the powerful version of the Dangerous Bomb. When this bomb goes off, it creates a huge explosion capable of claiming multiple tiles at once and fragging everyone inside the blast radius (67 tiles). It should be noted that you don't want to hurt yourself with your own maxed out Dangerous Bomb or you will end up resetting the tiles to 0, that you have reclaimed. Additionally, since you're the only player with the Dangerous Bomb, the CPUs can only bomb 1 square at a time (5 tiles). This gives you plenty of time to claim way more tiles than them (be sure to bomb the tiles the CPU takes from you). You need at least 130+ tiles claimed in order to unlock this trophy. Once you do and the timer is up, the trophy will unlock.

How to claim 130 or more tiles in a Local Zombie match against 3+ CPU players:

  1. Select Local Play
  2. Make sure that you have at least 3 Easy Computer Players (CPUs)
  3. On the Arena Select screen, select the following:
    • Classic
    • Zombie
  4. On the General Setting screen, select the following:
    • Game Mode: Zombie
    • Time Limit: 2:00
    • Number of Wins: 1 Win
    • Positions: Fixed
    • Scavenger: On
  5. On the Power-Up Settings screen, press to Edit Power-Up.
  6. Disable all Power-Ups except the following:
    1. Full Fire: Sets the firepower to the highest level!
    2. Dangerous Bomb: The blast range expands in a square. Upgrade it by collecting Fire-Ups.
  7. Press to finish edits and to proceed to the Match Preview.
  8. Once the match starts, the key is to simply get both Power-Ups and you will win but only if you don't hurt yourself with the huge explosion. Bomb all 3 CPUs once you have the Dangerous Bomb at maximum power and you will unlock the The Name's Bomb, Dangerous Bomb trophy. Now all you need to do is make sure you keep claiming more tiles than the CPUs. You want to have 130+ tiles claimed in order to unlock this trophy but you must also win the match. To do this, simply plant the maxed out Dangerous Bomb in the corners and move away from it. The huge explosion will claim nearly every tile in that corner and all you have to do, is keep going around in a square while bombing corners until the timer comes to an end. The trophy should unlock for you this way as long as you didn't hurt yourself with your own Dangerous Bomb. Upon winning, you'll also unlock the Paint the town red! trophy.

This trophy is probably the most difficult. It all depends on your experience here. In short, make a zombie game with three players at a minimum level, and set the weapon to the highest level. There will be a super bomb that explodes half the map - and with it I earned this trophy. True, I played for 3-4 hours, but still won. And there are only 147 tiles on the map))) so think for yourself...

Indeed, as indicated in the other tips, you need a local zombie match, 3 opponents of minimal difficulty and a dangerous bomb (bomb with a skull), which hits the area.

However, to make our life completely easier, we remove all other Power-Ups and Power-Downs except the simplest Fire-Up (yellow face with a red mouth). The strategy is that we gradually increase the area of our explosion, in maximum cases it will hit a third of the screen. The main thing here is not to wet yourself. Otherwise: enemies are killed quite simply and the territory is painted globally. The peculiarity of the strategy is that after death, enemies will no longer have time to pump up enough to cause inconvenience. If you leave more bonuses, you will constantly get an unexpected strike from another part of the map. And you will have to run and paint until the last minute, because... Almost everything should be painted.

The only addition to the description: you need to have 130+ tiles painted over at the end of the round! The trophy will only appear at the end of the round, on the results screen.

PS For example, I dominated the game for several rounds and should have received the trophy many times, but I never received it because I left the game, and, as it turned out, I had to wait until the end of the round)))
