Explosive blocks are yellow and have a glow about them. They stand out pretty clearly against 'normal' blocks, which are simply a line filled with black. Other blocks include powerup blocks (blue and also with a glow about them), Armored Blocks (which appear to be made of reddish/brownish bricks, and take two hits to destroy), and Trap blocks (have little turrets that upon destroying the block, shoot downwards a bullet you need to avoid).
This achievement is cumulative, so you don't need to attempt to earn it in a single Arcade run or anything.
However, if you'd like to try and knock it out specifically, try playing one of the Challenges rather than Arcade; a few focus on destroying blocks with explosive blocks and thus are perfect for this.
