How to unlock the Tank truck insignia 'West' achievement in Bridge Constructor - Definitive Guide

This is manageable when following a guide, but if you are trying to do this without one it is quite difficult. Below is a screenshot of each level on the first island. Remember, you may need to run the sim more than once as you rely on the bridge crashing on most of these builds. A good way to make sure that your bridge is identical to the one that I made is by checking the budget, if they are the same you most likely built it correctly. If you're having issues, run the sim a few times, you get a different result each time. If you come up with a more efficient or effective way to beat a level, let me know in the comments and I will replace my picture with yours!

If you feel like you're stuck on 4, don't get discouraged. It took me probably 30+ attempts but my tank finally made it.

I got it first try on 3 guys. When you create your road, make sure to place that node in the middle instead of going the other way around. You want to take the wood from the road to the other support, not from the support to the road, if that makes sense. If this isn't it then I can't think of anything else. Nice guide though Corrupted!

For 1-8, make sure to use small length board at the front and end of the bridge, otherwise they will seem like they "float". So, road to mid, mid to top, not a big Letter A with a v in it. Once that is set the truck will hop correctly, otherwise it will drop instead.

On Level 1-2, the diagonal beam underneath the bridge is not needed.
Saves 100 credit. :-)

I could not get bridge 8 to work after many attempts so If anyone is in the same boat I have one that works without breaking. Not my solution, this is NoXPhasma's bridge:

My achievement didnt unlock after the tank truck crossed the 8th bridge. The only thing I can assume is that having the bridge fall apart after the truck crosses can maybe glitch the achievement since it's the last bridge, if the game thinks you failed? I tried re running the truck across all 8 bridges and it still won't unlock. Praying I dont have to start the game all over again to get this. Anyone have this happen and find a way to get the achievement to unlock?

@LifeExpectancy I had same issue. I just selected the first one on Westlands - Bridge 1 and deleted it, then remade the easy bridge. Set the tanker off on its way and after it made it across, I got the achievement. Let me know if it works for you.

Yesterday I did Tank truck insignia 'West' and Tank truck insignia 'Central' but both achievements didn't pop.

Looking at the game "map", these two islands are at 100%. Sad...

Is it normal, or common?

No, nothin about. Done... Unlocking. But I rebuild one bridge from each island, and both achievements popped.

just a minor bug, or delay. Now everything is right.

Level 1-7 appears to work a bit better if you attach an additional cable between the first and fourth wooden supports (the ones that only extend one unit below the bridge).

Two achievements in this game just popped for me this morning even though I hadent played in months, deffo buggy. And Throni360’s name is still spelled wrong :)

You can make 1-7 foolproof simply by moving one of the 3 grid wood planks to the left completely.

L1-1 you can build 1 height lower with the budget = 3500/5000.
L1-3 I built the middle 3 road 1 unit higher & removed the mini vertical support on the left, budget = 7700/8000.
L1-5 slight variation of support placement, budget = 27750/28000.
L1-7 same style just slightly different placement, same budget.
L1-8 different design (took a few attempts to cross), budget 15400/23000.

This guide is for the tank trucks which you unlock after beating all levels with the normal truck. Once you beat all levels you get a higher budget in each level and can use the tank truck. Hope that clarifies

Here's what I did on Westlands Bridge 8 and it only took one try. The bridge collapses but if you let it play through the semi moves fast enough to make it.

Work way better for me than hoog's solution. 1 sucessfull try here vs. 17 explosions on the other one.

The trophy Truck insignia 'West' is a pre-requisite for this trophy, as is unlocking the tank truck.

Both cars and regular trucks are available when you begin the game. However, the tank truck is not available until you complete all required bridges in Camatuga. There are 5 islands. Each island has 6 required bridges plus 2 optional bridges. Only the required bridges are necessary to unlock the tank truck so this means 30 total (5 islands x 6 required bridges). Unfortunately, even with the tank truck unlocked you are still required to play all 10 optional bridges with the car and regular truck first. In other words, you will have to play all bridges once (both required and optional) in order to use the tank truck in a subsequent attempt.

Almost none of the solutions used for your regular truck playthrough will work for the tank truck, so the bridges will have to be redesigned. The exploits that worked for regular trucks will rarely work for the tank truck. Which means for this playthrough you will actually have to design unique bridges!

There are examples for each of the 8 bridges for Westlands (Island 1) below. These may or may not be the optimal solution as they simply reflect what my playthrough looked like. Please note that some may randomly fail; try again as they all should work. The island trophies will unlock during the success screen of the 8th bridge that you complete with a tank truck for each island on Camatuga.
