How to unlock the Cut 'em off at the pass achievement in Brink - Definitive Guide

Start up the first What-If mission on the Resistance side, and head towards the crane, make sure you're an engineer. There are two barricades in front and to the right of the crane that you can build. Build one of the barricades and bang boom, achievement unlocked.

This can also be done solo in private freeplay with no bots, if your having an issue with dying constantly like i was.

If you're going the solo private freeplay session route mentioned in the above comment, the map that has the barricade by the crane is shipyard.

A really easy level to get this is on the Resistance mission What-If: Operation Babel. As an engineer, do either of the secondary objectives "Construct Main Barricade" and "Construct Side Barricade". If you keep dying, set up a private freeplay game with no bots on the map "Shipyard". You can now create it without trouble. If you start as resistance, change teams via in game menu.

I first earned this trophy while playing the Resistance story line. Day 7: Attack of the City. You will need to be an engineer, but first the opposing team will need to create a short cut of some kind. Once that has been done, you will need to build it back up to close enemies shortcut. Most of the time, it's the Secondary Guard mission that will need to be broken down by the opposing team before you are able to close or fix the problem.

Alternative Method:
This can be done on the Resistance's first What-If? Story mission, and it's very easy. During this mission you have to protect a crane, and there are 2 barricades setup on the side and front of it, just repair one barricade and the trophy is yours, You will need to be an engineer. Thanks CorpusDelecti. Thanks PowerPyx for making the video!
