The objective for this will pop up a little way into story mode. It's not just a simple fight you need to instigate, but a stick fight. To do this, make the player angry by hip checking him. When you are "on fire" continue to hit him when you don't have the puck (the "how to play" says 3 times, but it didnt take me that many). If you've done it correctly, you'll see a stick appear above his head.

To initiate the fight all you need to do now is attempt a body check on him, NOT a hip check. This should initiate the fight. It doesn't matter if you win or lose the fight either, just that it takes place.
