How to unlock the Double Trouble achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Definitive Guide

The mission you want for this one is 'Numbers' and I suggest doing it on recruit as the game is already hard enough.

Some tips that may help:

-Small short bursts will help you be more accurate.

-More dual weapons can be found as you go through the level.

-You may pick up non double weapons, as long as you don't use them. So if you accidentally pick up a non double weapon you don't have to start over as long as you don't use it.

-You can run past most of the enemies that are far away (in windows, on roofs ect.)

Just thought I'd add that throwing grenades doesn't disqualify you from getting the achievement.

I did this on hardened and it was no easy task, but I was driven. Also, once you commit to it there is little else in the way of weapon pickups that are any better than the duel uzi.

The trick I figured out was finding the key spots to advance to in order to get the companion AI to advance. They do a good job at thinning out enemies or at least making their locations obvious.

Knife/melee kills do not interfere with this achievement popping.

DO NOT TRY THIS ON VETERAN. It took me 8 hours to beat this mission on veteran with normal weapons, trust me.

ZBrosSpec Dude if it actually did it on legendary and it took 8 hours that's sad. On my second blow through, I did it legendary and did it in 45 minutes. If your exaggerating then ignore me.

In relation to what splicegraph said, I'm horrible at the call of duty games. I'm very lucky to have a kill death ratio of 2/3 in COD multiplayer. Anyways, I'm playing through the game on veteran and I didn't want to have to go back through and worry about this achievement again, so I did this on veteran. It actually wasn't that hard at all. I mean, it was difficult, but in comparison with the SOD hill level I found it to be cake. If you don't want to go through this twice, you shouldn't have that much trouble.

There's plenty of ammo throughout the level, don't be afraid to fire a lot of bullets.

That being said, the first big fight on a rooftop is a pain. My suggestion is stay far away so not many of the guys have a shot on you. You can still be pretty far away and have the cursor red. Once it's red, have a somewhat controlled burst and you should be able to slowly move through the level.

When you're waiting for Clarke to open the door the best spot I found to stand is behind the pole in the center of the room and it gives you a really good vantage point to take out any guys coming in through the right side.

You will be able to get this achievement during the escape from Kowloon.
Just make sure you use only double wielding weapons. You can also use your melee and grenades weather it be flash, stun, or what ever.
As long as you do not shoot with a single wielded weapon you will get the achievement as soon as you are off the rooftops and hit the ground just before you have to pick up the pistol and defend against the Spetsnaz assault before you enter the van at the end.

Here are some tips that helped me obtain this:
- Shoot in small bursts. Shoot with each weapon with small bursts. Do a small burst with the left then the right. Seemed to keep the shots more accurate.
- Use your melee when you can.
- Use Frag and flash bangs often. Especially to get the ones in windows and and high points, otherwise you can run right by most of them (the ones in windows and other high points, also the ones you flash bang if your fast enough) to get to your next location.
- If you accidentally pick up a single wielding weapon just make sure not to shoot it or you will have to start over.

Note: I have obtained this achievement on another account. It was compromised so I had to switch to another.

You can use your own grenades and knife. Just got it using flashbangs, frags & knife as well as dual wield guns. So as long as you dont shoot with a single handed / shotgun you're ok :)

Ok this achievement is for playing the mission "Numbers" and since it is for only using akimbo weapons I would suggest you do this on a recruit because it hard if you are not skilled with the weapons. You should be able to run through the level pretty quickly if you do not kill enemies that you do not have to and run past them.

If you have any trouble look at the guide by Spiderbite from NextGenTactics for a video with commentary walkthough.

Kowloon is Mission 7: Numbers. The dual wield weapons will be your default weapons at the start. Later in the level, you get the oppertunity to change to a different pair of dual wielded weapons. I highly recommend doing this only on Recruit, and focus solely on speed-running through the level. The trophy should unlock when a van smashes into a couple of enemies at the end.

This trophy is fairly easy to get.

The mission you want is called 'Numbers'.

When you start off you start with dual pistols but later on in the missions you will find 2 different dual SMGs that you can pick up.

Play it on recruit because it can be a bit tricky sometimes. If you die, you can still get the trophy and you can even accidentally pick up a non dual wield weapon as long as you don't fire it.

This is easiest to do on Recruit difficulty and happens during the mission "Numbers", where you will meet Dr. Clarke and be ambushed by enemies. You must play this entire mission using only dual wield weapons. You cannot pick up or fire other weapons. You will start the mission with the "CZ75 Dual Wield" pistols. Once you have jumped the rooftop, they will move a fridge from the side of a wall to open a weapon stash. Inside in the middle of the wall you will find the "Kiparis Dual Wield" Sub Machine Guns. Many of the enemies have Kiparis so finding ammo while shooting them down should not be an issue, but keep your "CZ75 Dual Wield" pistols on hand. Pressing  will fire the weapon in your left hand, and pressing  will fire the weapon in your right hand. If you press , both weapons will be reloaded at the same time. During the mission, it is okay to melee/knife with  or to kill enemies by throwing a grenade with .

In the mission "Numbers", use only dual weapons, for example a double Cypress or a pistol. The biggest difficulty is to resist the temptation to “shoot” with other weapons, which abound in the level.
