Just pick up the secret items (identified by an eye icon when close) without being seen by your partners. If you have AI partners (and you think they could see you), you can run back the way you came a bit until they follow, then turn and sprint for the object. Since the AI is stupid, they usually will not immediately follow you.

When near a secret item it will appear as an Eye icon on the screen and tell you how far it is from your position. When you pick up a secret item you will get a blue icon on the bottom right corner of the screen showing “Dirty cop x/15”, which will tell you of your progress. Please note that you must not be seen by your partners when picking up a secret item. Press 
during a chapter to see how many secret items there are in the chapter and how many you have found.
GLITCH: When you pick up a secret item, die before reaching a checkpoint and pick it up again it will count again.
- Secret items for Ben McCall look like a wallet or cell phone.
- Secret items for Eddie Guerra look like a bag of marijuana.
- Secret items for Kim Evans look like a gold desert eagle pistol.

Simply collect 15 secret items. On chapter 2, as each of the characters, there is 3-4 items in the first house entered. Grab these, and then reload checkpoint if desired. Alternatively there are between 4-6 on most levels so grabbing 15 will come very shortly.
