How to unlock the Do you feel lucky, punk? achievement in Call of Juarez: The Cartel - Definitive Guide

You can easily beat the game on hard mode by using the INVINCIBILITY GLITCH as showN in this video.

All you need to do is build up your slo-mo bar in the top left corner, then as soon as you get it to 100% you activate it then restart the checkpoint then you are invincible to enemies bullets.

IMPORTANT::Glitch Must be set back up, at the start of a new level. Also glitch does not work against Helicopters, Rockets, or when in a driving sequence!!!::

ADDITIONALLY: You can use this glitch to obtain the "Tomb Raider" Achievement, just activate the glitch and run through the cemetery like Juggernaut LoL.

Thumbs Up Please If This Helped Guys, and before you thumbs down comment so i can help you if you have any problems, thanks :-)

Its worth noting that once you have the glitch on that if you activate concentration whilst invincible it removes it

I played the whole game on hard, and didn't get the achivement. There is also no way of seeing what levels you have done, on what difficulty. The people who made this game are idiots.

I can confirm the glitch works in 2020. Playing on Xbox One. Way to take care of your games techland lol. Also, be aware that this did not work for me in sections where you had to go from cover to cover!

Downvote from me just because you didn’t explain how to change difficulty.

You must go into options before starting new game

Glitch stays active unless 1) Reactivate concentration mode or 2) Anytime you are in a cover fire sequence. For some reason anytime I was in one of those I would become vulnerable but immediately afterward I was invincible again.

I would like to thank Cookie lMonster for bringing to our attention what is a great way of getting through this on Hard, but I would like to add a few points.

1. I would suggest going through the campaign on Easy first, not only to see how all the levels work, but to get the LEVEL 21 achievement out of the way and therefore giving you the ability to choose better weapons for the Hard run.

2. With this in mind, I used the Eagle Pistol and a Sniper Rifle. The rifle comes in useful for getting headshots, to build up your Concentration Mode quicker (for the glitch)

3. Once you've done the campaign, when you select your next character (you'll need to use all 3) just select Chapter 1 and change the Difficulty to Hard in Options. You do not need to start a New Game.

4. When doing "Cover to Cover" sections listen to the AI tell you to move up and shoot them all behind their barrier. I only ever saw 4 at any one time. Once past the barrier you are invincible again. The other way here is to use your Sniper Rifle to take them out before moving forward.

5. When driving just swerve the car left and right to take less damage. I never died on a car sequence. Again when you leave the car you are again invincible

6. Clear out all areas as you progress as sometimes you will not get a checkpoint if you just run ahead. I just Melee'd everyone to save on Ammo

7. If you have already got the Level 21 achievement, you do not need to pick anything up or do any agendas

The Hard runthrough, using Ben took me just over 3 hours.

Edit : I have just finished a Co-Op playthrough with myself as the HOST. I had it set to Easy whereas my co-op partner MrZill had it set to Hard. He got the achievement for the Hard Playthrough at the end

Just a random comment re: #5, car sequences. I thought these were going to be impossible on Hard, since even on Easy you get shot up quite a bit while driving if you're playing solo. However, the driving sequences, and to a lesser extent the helicopter sequences, didn't seem to scale in difficulty or damage-taken nearly as heavily as regular gun-play and cover-to-cover sequences. So that's all to say that you shouldn't be overly concerned about these sequences on hard, even if like me you thought it would be bad since you went to a red screen frequently on easy.

After completing the Prologue and you are at the character selection screen, press for Game Options, press to change difficulty to Hard, then press to back out. Also be sure to use the invincibility glitch in the Roadmap to make it much easier if you wish. If at any time you have taken too much damage, find cover behind an object/vehicle; pressing to crouch helps a ton as well. If you see enemies clumped together behind a vehicle, shoot at the vehicle to make it explode and give you a chain reaction as well.

For chapters that have helicopters it helps a lot if you have your concentration meter full. During a helicopter fight make sure you have a light machine gun with a full clip (LMG; example M60) then activate concentration mode while its in the open and keep shooting until the clip is empty. Doing this will cause about 3/4 damage and be a huge help because the invincibility glitch does not work on helicopters.

For car chases the invincibility glitch does not work either, so be sure to move in a sort of zig zag maneuver (left to right to left) to avoid rockets and being shot.

Cover-to-cover running - be sure to wait for your partners to tell you when to run to the next cover and once you are there press to crouch down. At the final cover you will have a very good angle on the enemies (behind them) and killing them will be very easy.

Hard mode is available right from the start. Before starting your hard play, make sure to set your game difficulty to hard before actually beginning the game. Do not change the difficulty during your playthrough, as it will auto save as soon as you exit the options menu after changing the difficulty.

Hard mode is relatively easy. You will get killed quickly; however the AI is retarded and rarely will rush at you. Also there are numerous parts where you can just rush past all the enemies, and get checkpoints. If playing single player just take cover when needed, and run when ever available. If playing co-op, you will be able to revive downed teammates. I played this in single player and ran through Hard in roughly 5 hours.

***In co-op one player can Host the game set to EASY difficulty, while the other player(s) can be set to HARD difficulty. The enemies will still down the person on EASY quicker than they would get downed compared to single player on EASY, however this will make HARD mode significantly easier for the other player(s) since the player on EASY will be doing the majority of the work.***
