How to unlock the Explorer achievement in Children of Morta - Definitive Guide
In-run events are the unique side stories you encounter in the dungeon. These events are generally straight forward where you'll need to free goblin prisoners from monsters, liberate fellow humans from monsters or in some cases you'll meet someone that will that will require one or two additional runs to finish your quest with. Completing 10 of these events will reward you with the achievement. If you're thorough and play each zone many times, you should be awarded with the achievement before starting TerraLava or you should unlock it within your first couple of runs of Terra Lava.

Perfect solution. I already shared the following information elsewhere, but I figured it might also be useful here. If an event isn't counting towards your achievement progress, you might have to return home first. Sometimes, there are additional scenes that must play out before an event is marked as complete.
In my case, I rescued a bear from some thieves as my fifth event, but the "Adventurer" achievement didn't unlock until I returned home and watched a scene in which the family discovered a bunch of fruit in front of the house. Presumably, a token of thanks from the bear. Hope this helps!

An "in-run event" is considered one with a scripted story of some kind. Most will involve fighting alongside another family member, or to protect a traveler of some kind as they get to an objective. Both events are fairly easy, and you should get these fairly often to where you won't need to grind for them after completing the story.
