How to unlock the Faithful achievement in Children of Morta - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to have a total of 10 divine items CURRENTLY equipped at once, so 8 divine graces and 2 divine relics.

Under the Book of Rea upgrades max out the gem proficiency upgrade to where you’re 100% more likely to find them.

The best levels to go for this would be either 1-3 or 2-2 due to the size of the levels. I personally got this on my 3rd attempt on 2-2 while others had better luck on 1-3, so pick whichever.

Run through the level exploring each floor to the max and opening all gem chests you come across. Make sure you kill all ferocious enemies that you see as they have a chance to drop divine items as well. Also,
be on the look out for “secrets” (the red markings on the floor) as they have a chance to drop divine graces and relics.

On floors 3-4 check out what the vendor is selling and purchase any divine graces you’re missing.

This achievement does require some luck, so keep trying and good luck rock

Ok so to anyone having trouble, a word of advice: the Gambler will drop divine graces, so if you come upon one of the "step on four squares in order" rooms, you can continually step incorrectly and farm gemstones to use at the Gambler to increase your chances of getting enough divine items. Ironically for me, I farmed 40 gemstones, and got my 10th divine item on my first freaking try with the Gambler. ALL OTHER PREVIOUS GEMS SPENT WITH HIM GAVE ME RUNESTONES, and the time I spend a half hour farming currency, I get it on the first try... can't help but laugh at that. Glad this madness is over at least headspin

Arg, at the same time. Ok, that cleared things up.

I’ve done Over 50 attempts on 2-2 and still not gotten it. I did have 9 items 5 times out of the 50 attempts but i guess that’s the thing with random drops.

@Calex yea the gambler doesn’t seem to drop anything but gold and heals. :/

at least based off my experience.

To save others checking Co-Op doesn't work. You need to have all 10 on one character at the same time. I had 8 and 2 in co-op and no achievement.

I think after the more recent patches that added in a bunch of new items this might be a little easier. I met the requirements for it easily on two different runs last night (on one I got up to 13 things equipped)

One thing that does help is to get Lucy to level 20 so everyone starts with two gems already, makes buying things in the s hops more likely.

Got this on 2-2

Ended getting it on 2-2 after so many failed attempts on both 2-2 and 1-3.

The good thing about 2-2 is how linear and fast the level can be and the increased chances at divine items due to having one more floor. Really annoying achievement either way.

This might be the most frustrating achievement in this game. I can't even count how many times I've ended the run with 9 divine items. I keep telling myself "I gotta grind to level everyone to 20 anyway, so at least I'm making progress on that". But that doesn't seem to help me be any less annoyed lol.

I had to do what Bellboy did.

You have to get lucky enough to get a gambler and a 4 square room in the same floor. You can grind forever. Dude did not want to drop my last one for like an hour, but eventually got it!

I've got to 9 a few times as well thought I had it last night as I hadn't met the shop keeper and was on the last floor and had 9 items and of course the shop keeper wasn't there it was the gambler and the blacksmith. Gambled what stones I had and got nothing from him.

Another thing to watch out for is the bird chase. I've seen it a few times in this level. Chase it but don't exit. Go back and fight all the enemies and you might gets a drop from them.

For this achievement you need to be holding 10 divine items. The description is a bit ambiguous in this regard.

After a few runs on 2-2 I would say the best level is actually 1-3 as I got it on my first try on that level. The reasons it's better is that, although shorter, there are many more enemies, so more gemstones, and there are also two shops.

Edit: Be warned, do this achievement before unlocking the third person in Terralava as they often replace the shopkeeper and getting relics from this guy is rare.

I got it here eventually kept getting screwed over by either the shops not selling enough graces or it not being there twice and the blacksmith and gambler being there instead or the worst one which was when I had 6 items and the shop had the 4 graces I needed on the last floor and only enough gems for 3 :(

I'd say it took me 20+ runs

Couldn't recommend this more highly. I could barely make it out with 8 in 2-2 let alone 10. First Try in 1-3? I ended up with 15 divine items. Obviously some of that is luck but even with that you shouldn't have too many hassles. You just end up swimming in gemstones.

Divine Charms are items that will be added to your inventory directly above your health bar and stay with you permanently (except for one which resurrects if you die, that disappears when used). These are extremely helpful, and can either be found behind yellow barriers, inside gem chests, randomly dropped from ferocious enemies, or purchased from the shop. You will likely get this on Level 3-1 which is by far the longest, giving you more chances to get these as drops.

When playing alone, they drop out quite generously.
If you don’t have enough, you can buy more from the merchant in front of the boss.

Additional purchased items do not count, so you just need to find them and earn them. After finishing the game there were no problems with this.

Collected 9 God's graces. The trophy fell out. As I understand it, it’s impossible to go beyond 9.

I played the disc version without patches. Judging by some of the tips above, then maybe in subsequent patches the developers changed something, or broke something, or maybe there was some kind of bug.
I got the trophy when I had 8 “God’s Grace” items (passive bonuses) and 2 “Divine Relics” (activated). Both divine items found and additionally purchased from the merchant were taken into account. For a maximum of 1 wound, I collected 11 pieces of God's grace, and I managed to carry everything with me.

The hint from dimdimm is not correct, you can buy more, they count. The trophy dropped at 9+1, I bought both the enchantment and the relic.

A trophy for good luck.

World 1, Level 3. They pour in very generously + merchants on tiers 2 and 3. Completely clear everything, collect as many gems as possible, necessary to open chests and trade.

When Lucy is fully upgraded, she will have a trait that gives you 2 gems at the start of the location.

It is not clear which divine objects are counted. Once I had 8 enchantments and 2 relics, the trophy did not drop. Dropped with 9 enchantments and 1 relic.
