How to unlock the Old Enough achievement in Chronos: Before the Ashes - Definitive Guide

So this achievement might seem daunting if you play through on normal or hard first, but I cruised through the game on easy and only died once (and it was a bogus death caused by the only enemy in the game that can kill you instantly). Just wanted to put this up so anyone looking at this and thinking it will be a challenge - it's not if you do this achievement playing on easy mode.

Yeah the game is pretty short in general, so playing on Casual you can speed through it pretty quickly.

Yup just finished it. No deaths and used 3 hearts total only on Dragon just to be safe 👌

Same. Died once to the Pan Guardian because was being reckless. Used 1 heart in the main - for safety. And twice on the dragon because why not - might as well seal the deal.

Missed this one and the riddle one. I wasn't going to play the whole game again for 2 achievements but you are right about how easy it is. Heroic you get hit once and half 1/3 to half your life is gone but on Casual health barely goes down at all. Speed run it is.

I managed to die three times on Casual: once to the cyclops who stomped me the second I came out of the "open the gate" cut scene, once to the second boss (I'd used all other upgrades for STR and put nothing into health ... ooops), and a third time some chump pushed me off one of the floating sidewalks in the next-to-last labyrinth map.

Agree though, pretty short and after playing on normal (Adventure), really quite easy. Playing on Adventure difficulty, the final boss killed me 2-3 times from fire; on Casual the fire barely dented my health ... although, by that time, I may have been trained to get the hell out of there when he starts breathing.

For this achievement, you must complete the game with three or less deaths. With the game's aging mechanic, you will advance one year in your life for every death. Because you start the game at age 18, this gives you a maximum of three deaths to complete the entire game to be at or under the age of 21. Obviously playing through the game once first on Heroic difficulty will give you a good idea of the enemy patterns and where to go, and going for this achievement on Casual during a second run will decrease the chance of death with the gained knowledge and skill.

You will want to make sure you try to only use your Dragon Heart items when absolutely necessary and save them for bosses - these only replenish when you die, so having only three deaths at your disposal these become extremely rare. You get a full health bar when you level up though, so check your experience if your health is somewhat low and try to judge if you can kill a few normal enemies with little trouble to replenish your health before wasting a Dragon Heart.

While you can technically get this achievement on any difficulty, and combine it with Heroic to get the completion in one playthrough, it would be quite the task.

This means that you must die no more than 3 times during the entire game.

Very easy to do on easy difficulty. There are just enough enemies to heal by gaining levels. And the damage from enemies is negligible.
