How to unlock the Strength in Numbers achievement in Chronos: Before the Ashes - Definitive Guide

Spend 30 Attribute points in to Strength.

You earn Attribute Points by earning XP (via killing stuff). Every time you level up, your character will get a momentary gold aura and you’ll hear a high pitched “ding” sound and you'll earn 2 points. You can only unlock the "Put 30 Attribute Points into..." achievements by spending these points.

Every 10 deaths you are offered a new trait (pick 1 of 3) some of which will add points in to the attribute totals - but they do not count towards progression for these achievements. There is however a trait you can pick at age 20 (the first one) called Hard-Earned Wisdom that gives a permanent XP multiplier which can help make this go a bit faster.

Once I got to Level 70 I was no longer able to earn attribute points. I was age 60 at the time. I can't say if the cap is based on age, or if it's just 70 regardless. So there's 140 points you can earn from just levelling so there's more than enough to fill each attribute with 30 points in a single run.

If like me you went straight in to the hardest difficulty, make sure to prioritise levelling Strength and Agility, then Vitality as they are cheapest whilst you're young. As your deaths go up, the levelling cost for Strength, Agility and Vitality goes up - and Arcane goes down. So for the most efficient use of points, you want to spend them on the cheapest upgrades at that moment.

If you want/need to farm XP, you can do so very easily once you get to the Labyrinth (the Void area with all the floating platforms - like Darksiders, if you're familiar). You will very quickly encounter an enemy type that carries a drum and spawn an add that you can farm indefinitely. There's a section with two of these drum guys in the same area that makes this particularly efficient. They are worth a good amount of XP and you will very quickly rack up enough levels to finish off this set of achievements.

This is pretty straightforward, but when I first started playing, I kept checking my traits to every time I leveled up. The ATTRIBUTES are the very first section when you press the menu button. These are what you get points for each level, and what you must increase to 30 for all of the attribute achievements.

You will earn traditional experience in the game by defeating enemies, and leveling up will award you with two attribute points per level. When you are young, the strength, agility, and vitality stats will all only require one attribute point to increase while the arcane stat will require three attribute points. As you age, this will slowly reverse with your strength, agility, and vitality stats costing more and the arcane stat costing less over time. Due to this, it is highly advised to increase the former three stats to 30 first before you ever start working on arcane - especially if you die a lot early on.

Due to the difficulty of the Heroic game mode, it can be tricky if you're bad at the combat and die a lot to get all the stats up to 30 before their costs increase too much, so you may need another partial run on a lower difficulty or do this during your second playthrough if you go that route. All your stats start at 9, so you only need to increase each by 21 to unlock their respective achievements though, so it's not too bad.

Once you reach the age of 70, this skill can no longer be improved.
