How to unlock the Collector achievement in Color Symphony 2 - Definitive Guide

Most of the stages (but not all) have a hat in them. It's usually fairly obvious but in a slightly hard-to-reach area. Just collect 'em all. Note that you must finish the stage after picking up the hat, which is sometimes easier said than done!

The stage select screen marks which stages you've found a hat on, but not which ones you're missing. So here are all the locations:
Chapter 1 (9 hats): 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15
Chapter 2 (9 hats): 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14
Chapter 3 (10 hats): 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15
Chapter 4 (6 hats): 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14
Chapter 5 (9 hats): 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15
Chapter 6 (10 hats): 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15
Last Chapter (5 hats): 1, 3, 4, 5, 6
Land of Grief (6 hats): 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8
Dry Meadow (5 hats): 1, 3, 6, 7, 8
Dark Forest (6 hats): 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8

Collect all 75 Hats

As stated, you need to collect all 75 hats in the game. Initially as you start, most of the hats are in obvious to see places, but as you progress sometimes the hat can be at the edge of the screen or in a location opposite to the exit. Keep in mind, once you collect a hat, you must finish the level, if you die, you must pick up the hat again and complete the level for it to count. If you have played Super Meat Boy, this is analogous to the Bandage collectables.

In the following video you will see:

1) The levels which contain the hats, and their location in said level
2) An efficient way to obtain the hat and make your way to the exit.
3) A menu in the description which will navigate you to each level with a hat present (Timestamped)

Keep in mind, that star rating is a non-factor when it comes to this achievement, so take your time if necessary.

Again, it is recommended to view the video on youtube to efficiently navigate to a certain level if needed. Time stamps are in the description of the Youtube video.

Hats are collectibles found in most, but not all, stages. They are little black fedoras that are, for the most part, very obvious to find. The hard part is collecting them. You can't simply collect them for them to count. You must collect them and then finish the stage, meaning if you die after collecting a hat, it will be back in its spot and you'll have to collect it again on a successful run of the stage.

As mentioned in the Roadmap, I highly recommend collecting the hats right away on your first time through a stage. If you see the hat on screen (most of the time you will), collect it and finish the stage. If you see an alternate route, take it to find the hat and then finish the stage. The reason for doing this is, like with the "Scholarship Student" achievement, you'll have already learned the stage very well, so collecting the hat while you already know the stage layout and how to finish it efficiently will save you time in the long run.

Even though pretty much every hat is obvious, or the alternate route to take is obvious, here is a list of all the stages that contain hats, in case you miss any while playing:

Chapter 1: 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15
Chapter 2: 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14
Chapter 3: 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15
Chapter 4: 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14
Chapter 5: 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15
Chapter 6: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15
Final Chapter: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6
Land of Grief: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8
Dry Meadow: 1, 3, 6, 7, 8
Dark Forest: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8

Lastly, here is a video of all of the hats being collected, which I take no credit for. You can also use this as a guide in case you're unsure exactly how to get a hat, or the best way to get it to make sure you can still survive the stage:
