How to unlock the Your Efforts Will Not be Forgotten achievement in Contra Anniversary Collection - Definitive Guide
This one is brutal, this video walkthrough will help:
It's still hard though, just abuse the save system and you'll get through it eventually.

Before you start the game go into the options and change it to easy and give yourself 7 lives.

This one is horrible, even the gameboy one is better.

This game, or rather the European version Super Probotector, was my jam back in the day, but if you don't have 30 years of muscle memory to rely on, it's going to be tough. Whilst there are no cheats, you can play this on easy with 7 lives and 3 continues, plus the save states. If you don't want to keep reloading every few seconds, I'd advise using the flamethrower and spread gun wherever possible and don't forget to use the steady button for concentrated fire. A few tips for the bosses:
Stage 1 - take out the bug spitter on the top of its shell, then keep pumping shots into its heart. When he draws his head back to fire, move to the top platform, since he sometimes fires a cheeky shot from his heart which can catch you out.
Stage 2 - destroy the outer pods first, the flamethrower and spread gun work very well for this and be prepared to move when he starts spinning. When he jumps keep moving again to avoid being squashed, and shoot the red orb on his tail.
Stage 3 - when you get to the 2 robots, focus all your fire on the red one first and make sure he's not directly below you since he will jump up to the ceiling. One his legs are gone you can just hang of the ceiling and fire down in complete safety. When the main boss, who incidentally scared the life out of me when I was a kid, appears, keep moving to dodge the lazers. He'll start to breath fire in a circle, so get up on the ceiling then position yourself to the side of his head opposite to where the fire will come. Drop straight down and this will give you a nice window to deal some damage.
Stage 4 - yikes, this is intense. My main tip is to make sure you have the spread gun and focus on jumping backwards whilst holding fire for occasional hits, which will take longer but is less risky. The bottom shield can be hit by firing straight if you're on a lower missile, but the top one needs angled or jumping fire. Just remember to keep as far back as possible and always concentrate on where you are jumping, not where your shots are landing.
Stage 5 - pretty easy, especially with (you guessed it) the flamethrower and spread gun. Take out the heads then hit the eye when you can. If the outside starts spinning, you can use the bumpers to steady yourself in place.
Stage 6 - First, save the flamethrower for this. Focus fire on one of the side heads the moment he appears, you must be quick as it's very hard to dodge. Then start hitting the other, which you should be safe from if you stay on the opposite side. Then you'll need to hit the eyes and forehead, but keep an eye on the enemies that will drop from the side. For his final form he will select one of 4 attacks, with the good old flamethrower you should be able to destroy the surrounding orbs quickly. Good luck, and let's attack aggressively!
