The “mysterious button” is given for the red knight at level 5, it’s very difficult to miss, but you must take into account that you cannot die before the battle (if you never die at the level for some enemies, bosses and their parts are given by objects and artifacts)

The "Mystery Button" unlocks Boss Only Mode. To increase the chances of dropping an item, you need to equip the Thief's Dagger item (can be found in location 3-063) and shoot daggers at enemies. The larger the combo series, the higher the chances.
