Waited until I was level 40, unlocked weapon (without equipping it) and backed out - did it for my final 3 weapons and then the achievement popped.

Was at level 39 with 2 weapon unlocks. Still working as of latest Dec 2011 patch. This should be the top solution since even if it doesn't work the first time, you still have the weapon unlocks.

I am surprised it is not the top solution to be honest, but glad it still works after the patch.

I've got the Majestic, C4, Gauss, Marshall, L-Tag & Mike left to unlock at level 39 with three tokens. I've "unlocked" all of them at least 4 times a piece and still no achievement. Any ideas fellas? I was really hoping this would work for me.

Now I've really screwed it up. I popped the disc into my second xbox, just to see if that would help. Well after using the tokens and exiting back to the main menu, and then back to multiplayer, I found that my tokens remained spent! I'll give another go later tonight on my primary xbox, with the one remaining token I have but, I won't hold my breath.

Got my unlock at 43, I too had to do it twice for each weapon I needed (c4, Gauss). But after I backed out the last time it popped. Thanks for the great guide worked like a charm.

Positive vote...I'm glad I read this and realized it was glitches instead of having to reboot all the way to 45 again.

can this be done in the earlier levels after a reboot? anyone know? i really dont want to go all the way up to 40 again.

If I had to guess I would say it could be possible, given that you have enough tokens, but if anyone can test it out and let us know here for sure, that would be great.

So here's my story:

After rebooting for the SECOND time, i decided to wipe the slate clean starting from Rank NUMBER 1. Deleted everything and just started from scratch! No skipping to Level 5 or any of that shit, ALWAYS unlocked weapons in the menu and not during countdowns in lobbies.

Got to level 40 for my weapon unlock in order to give this solution a try, and hey, it worked!

For me this achievement unlocked after rebooting the nanosuit (reach level 51) and reaching level 5 after being "born again". It spontaniously popped up after finishing a match.

Am I missing something here? I have 5 tokens and I've been unlocking with A, then backing out immediately to the main menu. The token number stays the same, but the weapon doesn't stay unlocked. Was this patched?

@R0ck5auce: I think that is the idea. Even though it will return to being locked, the game counts it as unlocked. So keep doing the procedure until you have unlocked (then locked) every single remaining locked weapon. Im gonna try this as I'm close to rank 39.

Thanks! I must have read his description wrong then. I thought the weapon would stay unlocked. I did as you said and just went through the weapons unlocking them by pressing A and it worked! Man that was bugging me before.

So what if i have 20 out of 20 will i get the achievement if i reboot

Successfully followed this method at level 45 just to be safe. No problems whatsoever.

I have tried it at 39 (w/ my 37 token), about 3x through on my remaining 3 weapons + C4 and no cheevo. Waited a bit too long to back out one time and got stuck with the Gauss sniper. Tried again at 40, went through the 2 weapons and C4, still nothing. Eventually waited too long on a C4 selection and got stuck with that. Next token is at 43, hopefully it will unlock then ... *scared*

Update: Didn't work at 43 or 45. Looks like I'm gonna have to pray it unlocks early in my reboot. This method seemed so good too :'(

Final: Rebooted and it unlocked for me at the conclusion of a TIA game during which I ranked up from 3 to 4 (not 5 as some others have said). Thankfully that was only a few additional hours of playing after reaching lvl 50.

Didn't work for me on my second reboot @ 39 - now this game can kiss my ass

Didn't work at all failed at all attempts. Randomly unlocked it while glitching the relay at my first reboot and got to Rank 10 got this at the end of the match.

I wonder if they patched it now? Have there been any updates of late?

Not wotking for me. I have the l-tag, X-43 mike, m20 gauss, and c4 left and im using one weapon unlock. I'll do this again at another level and see if i have to unlock the l-tag first.

Nvm I just tried to reach lvl 45 and the achievement popped after unlocking c4, my last weapon. Luckily it didn't glitch! :)

The glitch works at level 40. Just unlock a weapon and back out to the main menu and repeat for every weapon not unlocked. I got mine at 40.

didn't work for me. just reached level 40 and use this method about 10 times but no achievement. so i have to go up and prestige i think ... :(

After reading the comments, I'm a little scared about whether or not it will unlock.

If it does not work anymore, the worst that will happen if trying is that you will have to level up as you would have to anyways. Let me know if it works for you, hopefully this has not been patched.

Similar problems here. tried at level 50 - nothing. Prestiged - nothing. Rebooted - nothing at any level 1-13.
I am now at level 39 again with 10 unlock tokens and tried the backing out method a few times yesterday and today and... guess what - Nothing.
Could it be as we are on the Back-up servers ? Would this cause / create / solve problems ?
I am thinking about clearing cache ( removing update ) and trying again.

Just got the achievement today. Got glitched too (it didn't work for me to keep retrying to buy the last gun by backing into menu; when I tried to unlock and equip, still nothing and lost the token) so i prestiged and wanted to try your method, but the achievement unlocked after end of the round, where I leveled up to level 16 (I didn't buy any weapons to conserve tokens; used SCAR/Feline). So I wish good luck to you all.

Fuck rebooted at lvl 23 and nuthing been unlocking as I go.

I did the above way and it didnt unlock tried unlocking 1 weapon and backing out and then all 4 and backing out it but nothing, went back in and had my tokens and the weapons locked as it says but still nothing, did this about 6 times and it didnt do anything! Rebooted and got from lvl 1-14 in one capture the relay match +70,000xp, so not going to unlock anything until 39!

This sucks im thinking since they took away the update and allowed us to boost CTR thevy may have also taken away there half ass attempt to fix this achievement. I'm lvl 33 and i'v unlocked as i have got them and still nothing only have the machingun pistol and the three at lvl 39. Fucking game.

Yeah, well it sounds like they fixed the one glitch that actually allowed people to get this broken achievement. What a shame, will keep an eye out, if enough people can confirm that this does not work any more, then I will make a note in the solution. Such a shame, because it was a sure way to get it before. Reset my Internet cleared cache and got achievement in the home page. Good luck to the rest.

May sound silly... but everyone having issues with tooled up, are you running the crysis 2 disk or a games on demand download? Just wondering..

Jester got his tooled up last night, his cries of excitement were good, I've rebooted already, gunna try the trick at 39... in failing that then get back to 50 delete everything, then reboot and play a few levels.

Again its EA's fault squeezing devs to rush games out.. look at all the trouble we with NFS games for example.. These games should be polished to perfection before being release.

I used this on lvl48 with 6 tokens left (weapons I still had locked: M20 14 Gauss, X-43 Mike, Majestic, M34 Flash, JAW and C4). I used then this method and the moment I bought the last weapon (C4) the achievement popped.

Level 47 with 12 unlocks remaining for 12 weapons. Still afraid of the glitch, I used this method. It took two complete runs through the weapons, which I did one at a time rather than multiple, before it popped on C4.

still works. i had 13 unlock tokens and I'm at level 43.
unlocked all the Assault rifles one by one, backing out to main menu every time
same with secondary weapons then explosives.
didn't unlock, so did all assault rifles at once and it pooped :)

This hasn't been working for me :( level 41, have quite a few unlock tokens saved up but it won't work and I've tried various different variations. I am using the games on demand version

I am not sure, but everyone I know who got it used the disk version. No idea if this works for the games on demand version. That would suck if it does not.

Ok I also noticed that in the operative status > unlocks section it says I only have 16/22 when I actually have 18. Looks like somewhere along its glitched and hasn't counted two weapon unlocks

Yup, I did this when I turned 45, and still had two weapons to unlock, to make sure it wouldn't glitch. It popped as I unlocked the C4, but quickly went back to the main menu.

Right guys I got the achievement just now. before I jumped into a friends capture the relay with DonNikos, I selected the scar (with gauss attachment) with the cell skin, and the hammer pistol with the cell skin. Fired off the gauss, its basically the shotgun, end of round it popped..

Seems completely random, but I never used the gauss before, don't no if it was the gauss or the skins? But for all those still in my position its worth a try.. if you have tried everything like I did..

Forgot to say I rebooted 3 times.. im not saying your gunna get the achievement doing as I have mentioned but try it atleast, one other thing to note in that game I was on level 16.. went to level 20, got an unlock and finished on an even number level sounds nuts but I was trying everything.

I've rebooted twice. Now level 45 for third time. Tried level 39 glitch every time with no luck. Reset my cache. Rebooted 3 times. Recovered gamertag on another Xbox and guess what. I've got nothing. Any ideas?

Also. I got to 50 legit first time. Boosted Ctr for second playthroughs. Most frustrating achievement ever. Makes no sense. All they had to do was give an update that made it unlock at level 45

Worked for me too right now. Limited Edition, and 3 weapons left when I reached level 40 and got one token. Used it once for each weapon, and it popped. Not sure that I realy needed to do this, but better safe than sorry.

I have a regular disk version.

Sweet, just got to lvl 39 with 4 weapons to buy with one token. Unlocked the first and backed out, when I went back in to customise I had the one token but the weapon was still showing as I hadn't bought it, did the same thing with the other 3 (each weapon was still to buy when I went into customise) and after buying the last weapon the achievement popped! Tried it with UK standard Ed.

Ok,the weirdest thing happened,I rebooted and got to level 4. I played a match in which I got to level 5 and before it was over the migrating host appeared because the host left and the time when to zero so you'll go to the main screen saying "lost connect screen" and it popped up after I hit A. But I was rank 4 again because of the host who lefted. Hope this helped!

Still works as of Feb 2014. Just to note, I was using the Limited edition disc, with the content code redeemed and installed. I was also level 40 with 6 weapons to unlock, but only using 4 tokens. Did the Scarab first, quit out. Then the Gauss Rifle, quit out. Then did the remaining 4, which I think was the Mashall, the MIKE, L-Tag and C4 all at once, then Tooled Up unlocked as I was quitting out, although I took to long and it saved them.

It works as of March 27, 2014 but mine unlocked in a random way. I first attempted this at level 44 with 9/20 weapons and 10 weapon tokens, It did not work. I tried it seven more times with no luck. I decided to wait till I was level 50 and get my last weapon token at 45 to do this. First try and pop, I unlocked it. My suggestion is if it did not unlock wait till you are level 50 to try again.

UPDATE FOR DIGITAL VERSION: 04/04/14
1. I've tried every kind of tips and solution but they didn't work.

2.So I've reboot nanosuit for the third time but this time I've start to replay some singleplayer. I've notice that some weapon was with the "new star" everytime I enter on multiplayer. After some game chapter (half game) I never seen "new star" on the weapon on multiplayer.

3. I start a new boost I was level 21. After some level (23, maybe when I won a new unlock point) achievement show up.

4. I start to scream like a wolf in heat

- normal disk version
- had 8 weapons when hit level 50 (bought them all after lvl 34)
- did the back out-method on the rest
- achievement unlocked

But it was different for me. I used your method but at the end, I didn't get any achievement. So tried it on a different day and on a different class slot and BAM achievement unlocked.
I don't know if I was lucky or if this also works but maybe give that a try if you didn't get your achievement at the end.

I just got this with the LIMITED EDITION copy of the game. I used this guide, except I had almost every gun I needed to unloxk at level 39. So I went in order by main gun, then pistol then grenade sections. I completed each moving to the next in order as listed. It worked perfectly and I still have all my credits. So don't worry about having to prestige. That's simply not true as far as this edition goes anymore.

Mine bugged out but luckily I got it to pop by prestiging (You need to hit level "51" then you can reboot.) then it unlocked at the end of the next full game. I'd hit level 14 again as it was part of the level 50 boosting session I was already in.

This worked for me with the digital version. I did not unlock anything at all until I was level 39, then went through methodically, unlocking the first weapon in each category, then the second and so on. Damn, this is one glitchy achievement. Seeing as you get your tokens back using this method, it's worth trying it I guess.

This method does not seem to work anymore. I have tried it multiple times unlocking every weapon at least 3 times. But it doesn't unlock. Fortunately, I have not lost any of my tokens. So I will level up to 45 and see what happens.

I did not get it on 39 (using glitch), I did not get it on 45, (my party was shocked) but the achievement poped together with "Crysis, What Crysis?"... So glitched:( My version - On Demand

Finally, after 6 months and 100+ hours of boosting, I got Tooled Up to pop.

Was using the digital version, rebooted three times, no achievement. On my third reboot I decided to purchase a physical copy. I then continued to level up and upon finishing the match in which I reached level 25, the achievement popped.

Persistence is key. Also, probably try using a physical copy.

Didn't work - I'm level 41, disc version; I unlocked the C4, backed out to main menu, and when I returned to MP the token was used.

Just gonna continue on and hope it unlocks normally.

If you’re using a standard physical copy there’s a really good chance that it’ll unlock at the beginning of your first reboot. Again, I’m not sure if there is any reasoning to this achievement so luck is definitely involved. But from what I’ve seen from this achievement (and I’ve seen plenty of people unlock it), is chances are there’s a high probability you’ll unlock it at the beginning of your first reboot. Also, if you still happen to have tokens, I’d clear your cache and continue trying the token glitch. It usually doesn’t pop on the first try.

Yeah this just doesn't work at all now. Level 44, Disc version, I've unlocked the last two weapons at least ten times each now and nothing.

So in Operative Status it's showing the unlocked weapons as: 0/22
There is actually only 20 weapons you can unlock via unlock tokens.
So my question is, when you hit Rank 45 you will get your last unlock token, you than use all unlock tokens you will only end on 20/22 unlocked weapons.
Will the achievement still pop (If it doesn't glitch) if you end on that number? (20/22)

It's supposed to but doesn't for some people. I use the disc version and unlocked everything in order and it didn't unlock. I'm at level 49 now with 20/22 and no achievement.

Some say that when you prestige it may unlock with your next tokens, that's all I can hope for, I'll know tomorrow night.

I have the limited edition physical copy but no code. Had a standard copy in when I tried the glitching method. Reached level 45 with 4 weapon unlock tokens. The weapons to unlock were scarab,gauss,43 mike, and C4. Did the solution going down the line as I listed them only once and the achievement popped. The weapons still show locked and I still have the 4 tokens.

First try and got it.
I was 42 and had only the starter weapons and one AR. I did it on custom class 3 and have the digital version.

For people that still have trouble unlocking this:
I tried it 2 times with multiple weapon unlocks before going to the main menu and it did not unlock. Alter that I tried it with every single weapon one at a time from the very first weapon (Feline) to the last explosive (C4) by going back to the main menu after every unlock and the achievement popped.

I used the digital version.

I had several tokens..12 of them; unlocked some weapons, backed out and so on. After coming back to the multiplayer section all was still locked and tokens were here.
I finally "lost patience" and used all of them until i had only 1. Still did not work.

Aaaaand after reading some comments i used this method on the 3 weapons i needed: 1 at a time, going back to main menu all the time. Coming back to multiplayer with token still here and weapon still locked. But as soon as i was done with these 3, achievement popped!

Oh, and i have digital version of the game.

Just done this on the disc version at level 40. I used all of my unlock tokens except one, renamed the class, went in to a private game and backed out of multiplayer. Once it had saved, I went back in and kept using the last token as advised. Popped right away.

anyone kno if this achievement not unlocking has anything to do with dedication unlocking most of my friends that have dedication were not able to get all tooled up im wondering if the 2 somehow corolate

I used the normal disc version, just followed the direction and get the achievement.

I saved all the unlock coins and started the glitch when I was level 40. Everything went smoothly. I just unlocked all the weapons one by one, and I just did one time....it poped up when I unlocked C4, the last weapon.

Glad you were still able to do this, though I thought the servers were supposed to be down? How is it the game is still working online :p very unuasal for EA though maybe because of the backwards compatibility they extended its life? Never saw a news post on it so who knows for how long

Just unlocked after rebooting the suit and bought the first gun.

I ended up encountering the glitch where the operative status says I unlocked 20/22 weapons. I rebooted the suit, leveled up to 9, and the achievement decided to randomly pop without me having to do anything.

Worked like a charm. I purchased the deluxe edition used physically years ago, and when I started working on the multiplayer for this, I was a bit worried about it.

What I did was not unlock anything at all, including custom classes, until I got to level 39 (I was level 40 when I attempted this though). I then went through and followed the method listed in this solution. I first unlocked all primary weapons, then backed out to the main menu. Repeated it for secondary weapons and equipment, but got no achievement. When I went and started unlocking the primary weapons for the second time, the achievement popped about halfway through.

So if you're worried about having a physical copy of a used deluxe edition, there is hope for you as others have mentioned!

Great guide! In order to get the achievement, select Multiplayer. Then proceed to the CUSTOMIZE EQUIPMENT option. Select whatever class and unlock weapons from each of the first 3 categories. YOU CANNOT USE THE GLITCH IF YOU PRESS X TO EQUIP. The game will save if you equip!!!!!!!

Just got this today without doing any of this just got too 45 and no issues

I was rank 45 so had all unlock tokens. I unlocked all guns in the order they would have been unlocked as you ranked up by using another guide on this solution to show that. I unlocked all weapons and gadgets in order and it didn't unlock. Not sure what I did wrong or it is just glitched for me.

I am on 20/22 weapons. I play the digital version of the game via EA play on the series X via backwards compatibility (as can't access crysis 2 via EA play on xbox 360 as this isn't possible).

Do i need to reboot my nanosuit and hope it unlocks at when i get more unlock tokens? Does nanosuit reboot effect dedication glitching? As I am still awaiting that (unsure if that has glitched yet as I started this game on 17th November 2022 (funny/annoyingly enough, it unlocked on my dummy account on 06/01/23 and my dummy account also started the game on 17th November 2022). Unfortunately forgot to play online on the 1st January 2023 eventhough I was supposed to.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I would get a copy of the game on xbox 360. I got a LE copy for $5 so they're plentiful. It really might be the only way to do this. BC is finnicky on this game so I always recommend avoiding it

I'm playing a game (using the glitch to create a online game with less than 6 players) with my 2nd account online on specific days to try to unlock dedication. i'm currently at 4 months as I started the game back on 17th November so officially that hasn't glitched on me yet and I read resetting suit (back to rank 1) might cause a glitch on dedication to reset so I am trying to get that to unlock before I reset my rank and see what happens as I've read people get tooled up when they reset rank and go up some levels or pops when dedication is unlocked as dedication not being unlocked can apparently lock you out of tooled up too.

@KillCrazyCarl How did you make games with less than 6 players?

@KillCrazyCarl Apparently the limited edition disc is coded slightly differently from the others. So that could be the reason behind it. Enough people have said it fixed the problem for them that I'd call it helpful

I finally unlocked dedication achievement just now. I used a glitched lobby playing extraction game mode. Played a 2nd game but All tooled up didn't unlock after the 2nd game. I have only rebooted once and at rank 46 as took a break until dedication unlocked. Now it has I will look to get this glitched achievement to unlock using weapon glitch method after rebooting suit again and then ranking up after another suit reboot if needed.

OMG!!!!

I just unlocked 'Tooled up' achievement which was glitched for me. I boosted up from rank 46 to rank 50 to then be able to reboot my nanosuit again. I did this and then boosted up to rank 26 via the glitch lobby (and was able to change time limit to 30 mins) once this game finished, the achievement unlocked for me instantly once the scoreboard came up. I doubt you have to get to rank 26, likely just to the rank that gives you 2 weapon tokens (rank 8 i think) to make the 22 weapons stats eventhough theres only 20 base game weapons and 2 weapon skins via the limited edition copy (EA play digital copy see's the game as the limited edition version hence this issue I believe) then achievement would unlock. I ranked up as much as possible thinking I would have to atleast get to rank 43 to attempt the weapon unlock glitch and possibly reboot nanosuit again.

Quick note about nanosuit reboot, you can only do a nanosuit reboot 5 times. Once you have rebooted 5 times you can no longer reboot your nanosuit and therefore might block you entirely out of getting tooled up achievement if you require to reboot your nanosuit.

This shows that if you don't have 'dedication' achievement and is glitched for you as well as the 'tooled up' achievement is glitched, the dedication achievement can block 'tooled up' achievement from unlocking as dedication achievement hasn't been unlocked.

If you can't unlock 'tooled up' and you still don't have dedication unlocked then I suggest you wait till you get dedication to unlock which might require the use of the end of year/start of year glitch which nearly always guarantees to unlock dedication achievement.

After my first attempt at doing dedication and tooled up achievements using backwards compatible digital copy via EA play and it glitching on me and then doing a nanosuit reboot and both still locked for me on digital copy even after ranking up to rank 46 and attempting the weapon unlock glitch again but didn't do anything.
I decided to buy a physical copy (not limited edition copy) and to only use my xbox 360 (premium) from then on. I gave up for some time with playing once or so every month to attempt to see if i could unlock dedication and was possibly 4-6 months of not touching it and then decided to play a match on 03/12/23 and finally dedication achievement unlocked which I wasn't expecting as was expecting to have to do the year glitch - There is thought that dedication is more likely to unlock on 1st of the month and other hypothesis' but no one knows how the game counts the months so either keep trying or wait for end of year glitch (31st December/1st January (of the new year)).
I finally got round to ranking up using the lobby glitch to boost my rank via double boxing - I got to rank 50 and rebooted nanosuit again, this is all while playing on xbox 360 with a physical crysis 2 copy with my main account on the xbox 360 then went from rank 1 to rank 26 and achievement for tooled up unlocked once game finished and showed the scoreboard for the finished game with no need to unlock any weapons at the main menu.

I suggest to just use the xbox 360 and a physical copy (not limited edition) if at all possible to lower your risk significantly of either of these achievements glitching on you and having to go through my ordeal although they can still likely glitch on you anyway.

My journey -
Officially started online on 17th November 2023 on digital copy via EA play on Xbox Series X - 10 months from this date.

Reminder for "Dedication" if months reset due to reboot of nanosuit on 17th June 2023 - 3 months. 6 months is on 17th December 2023 (or 1st December 2023 if only counts 1st of the month).

Tooled up also glitched on me and might not unlock until "Dedication" achievement has unlocked for me - Might unlock after playing another game online once "Dedication" unlocked.

Rebooted nanosuit (once) on 17th June 2023 using digital copy via EA play on Xbox Series X and ranked up to rank 46. Weapon unlock token glitch didn't work.

Bought Crysis 2 standard copy on 18th June 2023 and only played on xbox 360 since and from now on.

Played glitched lobby (with my 2nd console, xbox one via BC) on 01/09/23 and Dedication didn't unlock still after match (nor Tooled up).

Next attempt likely is to play on 1st December, failing still, the year glitch where I will play again on 31st December and again on 1st January 2024 preferably with a full 6 player lobby minimum.


I post this to help anyone who has these issues with these 2 glitched achievements and hope this will help someone else who had issues like me as theirs not much info on the internet or even on TA guides so thought i'd share my journey that might help someone else resolve it for them like I worked out how to resolve it for myself.

Finally Finished with MP for this game on 30/12/23.

This didn't unlock for me after I got all weapons, then I got a connection error when I was loading into a lobby a few days later and it popped. This game..

Just to provide my experience, this trick didn't work for me when attempting it at level 39, or any level up to 50. I rebooted, didn't get the achievement, then leveled up past level 5 in my next game and got the achievement at the leaderboard at the end of the game.

In addition I had an alt account that I used to boost, which was also level 50, and as a test I went and unlocked every weapon in one shot, and my alt got the achievement without any problems. So maybe the trick wasn't necessary if I would have just waited and unlocked everything at once on my main account. Who knows.

As long as you have 1 token, you should be good to go. For me it took 2 times, but others it only took 1 time, and the achievement didn't pop right away, it took a while. Try going over all you have left again with your last token, then when you head back to the main menu just sit there a good minute or two. Also you might want to make sure you have purchased it and not equipped it, then wait a little bit before backing out to the main menu. Double check your achievement list as well just in case you might have turned off notifications. Best of luck to you SpazCool, let me know how it goes.

I am going to try this once I am a lvl 43, because I am currently missing the Microwave Weapon and the C4. I am lvl 42 at the moment, so is it glitched? Or is it going as it supposed to go...? Anyway, I am going to try this when I unlock my unlock token :)

(By the way, I used the unlock on the X43-Mike first, and I backed out, I came back and noticed it wasn't unlocked. I did it again, still locked. So I did the same to the C4, and then all of the sudden Achievement Unlocked! I still need the X43-Mike though, it is still locked... lol)

Tried it at level 43 with 2 unlocks left, the gauss rifle and the c4, and it didn't work. Must have done at least ten times before it didn't give me my unlock back. Just have the c4 left now. :(

GOT MINE LAST NIGHT AT 39!!! I saved 2 unlocks from the 30s and waited until i hit 39. i had 5 weapons to unlock. I did the first 3 (the guns) 1 by 1... hitting A to unlock and then backing out. Then I unlocked my last pistol and the C4 at the same time with the 2 unlocks and POP went the chievo... THANK YOU for the solution. THis works!

All players have you used all the weapons at least once? Ive rebooted and hit lvl 39 again cleared the cache deleted the update but still nothing! Looking at my service record the m2014 gauss has never been used could this be the problem!?

Idk i loaded up another game for a few min and then jumped back on loaded the game and at the main menu it unlocked i thought it was a game invite but then i just poped so thats the best i could say i did unlock the guns and c4 over and over again then just disconnected while in the game.

Just wanted to let you guys know that it seems like it also depends on the game version you are using whether or not this glitch works.

I tried it today with my german Games On Demad version and had no luck.
I did it 10+ times but the achievement wouldn't pop.
Now I tried it with my UK disc version and it popped on first try.
I tried both games because I realised that I had two seperate title updates for the game.
I don't know if this is because of the language (german didn't work, english did work) or that one was GoD and the other one was a disc (GoD didn't work, disc worked), but I would place my bet on the latter.

My experience with this Achievement is that i used this method and the only thing that happened is that i lost a weapon unlock token, i ve waited to level to 45 to get another one, used it and got no achievement. So at least in my case the solution doesnt work.

Just for the record i have unlocked the weapons in the right order. I have the standard retail version of the game.

Quick update (originally I used the digital version): This did not unlock at Level 39 with the token glitch. And it also did not unlock at 45. I do have all my tokens and all weapons are unlocked (so no tokens went missing). This also did not unlock together with "Crysis, what crysis?".
I'm about to reboot. But I purchased the disc version before I attempt this. I will update this in a few days and let you know how this went...

UPDATE: This has finally unlocked! It popped right after my first match when I ranked up to level 9. Before the session, I made sure the digital version was deleted from my HDD, I cleared my cache (and I noticed that the title update file had a different name with special characters in it, now that I used the disc version of the game: "Crysis®2 Title Update". Before it was called "Crysis®2 Title Update". Perhaps that has something to do with the achievement unlocking, but who knows!). Anyway, I downloaded the update again, rebooted my suit, played 1 match, and it popped on the results screen!
Not sure, if switching to the disc version helped, but it seems to be the safer bet.

What would be most wisest you think? I'm ranking up till Rank 45. Would spending all the tokens before backing out to the main menu be a good bet? Or doing a single weapon each time, backing out to main menu, entering multiplayer again, unlocking next weapon, backing out again etc etc etc

Personally I would stick with one weapon at a time. That's how i did it way back when i figured this out. Been a while since i last played this but it still seems to work most of the time for standard disk version. Again this achievement is rather buggy and it doesn't always seem to work for everyone unfortunately. Best of luck! I know the servers are going to be shut down so hopefully this helps still

On another note:

Both Dedication and Tooled up have glitched on me. I was using the EA play digital version on the Xbox Series X. I tried constantly for the past 7 months for dedication. First played on 17th November 2022, should have got it in May, tried in June too but nothing, played at least once every month - played on 1st of every month, 17th and every 3rd week on Thursday as that is what it was when i first started, but no luck.
My 2nd account I was using to double box, got both tooled up and dedication OK. Tooled up work via the weapon token unlock glitch and going to main menu etc. Dedication unlocked on 6th January 2022 or something due to the year glitch i guess, but my main account didn't have this luck annoyingly - I guess i might need to do the 31st December 2023 then 1st January 2024 and hope at this rate.

As for tooled up, i rebooted nanosuit on 17th June and ranked back up to rank 45, tried to do the weapon glitch again as I didn't get it unlock during ranking up like to lvl 9 like some others have mentioned. Did the weapon glitch again with the tokens and back out to main menu etc with 1 weapon at a time, multiple, a few here and then a few there etc multiple times but no luck still. I ended up buying a standard disk (not LE version) today and playing on xbox 360, weapon token unlock glitch still didn't unlock achievement. Played a match and neither dedication or tooled up unlocked at the end of the game (in a glitched 2 player online lobby).

I guess my next step is to reboot nanosuit again but with disk version and playing on xbox 360 only from now on and hope it unlocks while ranking up again or when doing weapon token glitch.
Anyone know how many times you can reboot nanosuit on this game? 5? 10 times?
I just hope rebooting the nanosuit hasn't blocked dedication now as I read in some places that might be a possible cause for it not unlocking properly.

Also the title update on xbox 360 with my standard disk version says: "Crysis®2 Title Update", not sure if this makes any difference. Not sure what digital version update looks like as I used EA play digital version on Xbox Series X via Backwards Compatibility.

If anyone else has any ideas for me to unlocked both tooled up and dedication, then let me know. For the year glitch, do you play a couple of games on 31st December 2023 and then 1st January 2024 to hopefully get dedication to unlock?

I've popped peoples "Tooled Up" on the digital version. Follow the instructions on the solution i have posted, and you'll get your achievement. Remove your save on a USB from your machine, including the campaign. Wipe it from your machine, redownload the item.

Start a game lobby and it will pull down the data from the server. Prestige as per instructions on my solution. I would suggest you put a standard copy of the game in the disc tray when your achievement is due, and it will force the achievement to pop.

I'm the only person on the internet that has definatively worked out how to force the achiement to pop. Follow the instructions to the letter, and your achievement will pop.

Under no circumstances use the limited edition version of the disc without reading my guide. Before you start, take it back and use a standard copy of the game. If it's too late, then start reading my guide, and follow it to the letter.

Digital version, bought all weapons used them all counter said 20/22 hit 50 rebooted, now lvl 17 still nothing. I'll end up boosting to 45 if it doesn't pop before then, but that's it. Then I will never touch this again, what a waste for all that hard work to get to level 45 and unlock all weapons and not be rewarded.

BOOOM! I just popped this achievement at Rank 39, first playthrough. I just couldn't wait and wanted to give it a try.
I was using the digital/games on demand version of this game. I saved all my unlock tokens till Rank 39. At Rank 39 I went through all the weapons, like Rossco mentioned:

This worked without any issues for me.

It's been 5 years since I last boosted Crisis 2, but I have just unlocked this glitched achievement after finishing my first run through to level 45. Figured I'd post what I did in the hope it might help others...

- Never use a token to unlock a weapon after a disconnection in game. Better yet, restart your Xbox and unlock before/after boosting session.

- Do not use the token glitch at level 39 to unlock the weapons early. Wait until level 45 when you get your last weapon token.

- I did not hoard my tokens until the end. I purchased each weapon in level order until 39 where I saved my last 3 tokens to use them all in one go.

- I did not purchase C4 last, but rather first in my final 3 unlocks.

- BEFORE unlocking your final weapons. Go to system storage, delete the title update, clear your system cache and restart your Xbox. Once back in game redownload the update. NOW you can proceed with unlocking.

- FYI, I had the digital version.

Update: This popped and I didn't even unlock one of the weapons yet. I am using a Limited Edition disc and I'm unaware of what if any DLC content I have, but will be able to check if someone knows how.

I followed this guide almost exactly.

- I used the LIMITED EDITION disc version on my Xbox 360, which I had first played Crysis 2 on. Don't know if that's relevant but a glitchy achievement is worth taking all precautions for.
- I had the Primary (M20 Gauss and X-43 Mike), all secondary pistols, and all explosives to unlock and only had 6 tokens.
- I first unlocked the M20 and then went back to the main menu. Came back and the gun was locked and my tokens were back.
- I unlocked all of the secondaries, and went back to the main menu. It gave me 2/3 tokens back and kept the last one unlocked.
- I did the same with the explosives, and upon purchase of the last one the achievement popped to my total surprise. I went back in game and again was refunded 2/3 tokens and the last one stayed unlocked.
- I never purchased the X-43 Mike.

EDIT: It's been 6 hours and the achievement has not registered on TA, despite unlocking further achievements since.

2: I needed to unlock another achievement in Crysis 2 for this to register on TA. It's possible it wouldn't have ever registered if this was the last achievement I needed

I am having the same problem. I can't unlock the last weapon I need because I don't have a weapon unlock and I am a level 50 so this sucks. I guess I'll just wait until they patch it or until someone comes up with a solution.

a guy posted elsewhere that he had 19/20 weapons, did the reboot, and then earned his way back to lvl 5 and was given another weapon unlock...

my guess would be that if you used the XP unlock with the limited edition you would have to earn the XP equivalent of getting to lvl 5 for all the weapons to unlock - just a theory

Another theory is that if you boost your XP in anyway (i.e. Capture the Relay way) you may "unlock" more than one "unlock" at a time (like gaining two or ever nore lvls at a time) and that could be the problem.

One of the patches has to be at least partially responsible for all this confusion. I have an LE code and everything worked just fine when I did a half-n-half thing too, but it was several weeks ago. My friend that I mentioned who had trouble initially doesn't have an LE code.

I used LE code to jump to lvl 5. Reached lvl 50 without getting my last weapon unlock, rebooted and still nothing. Looks like I'll be going back to 45 with fingers crossed. >_<

EDIT: Got it at lvl 18 after reboot. Just remember to unlock guns as early as you can after they become unlockable and that seemed to sort it for me at least. :)

went through to 45 again - dont stockpile unlocks and use them on the guns in order (i.e. lower level weapons first)

i just reached rank 50 and i still need 2 weapon unlocks, i think i know why it glitched too, i was on rank 44 and only needed 2 more weapon unlocks which i think your meant to get both of them at rank 45 (corrent me if i'm wrong) then during the next match i ranked up to 45 but during the same match the host left and i was kicked from the match to the main menu and on the main menu it said i was on rank 45 but because i got kicked it never went to that screen where it shows the points you got in the match and i never got the 2 last weapon unlocks cause of that i believe.

Does anyone know what i should do to get the last 2? i really don't want to have to rank up to 45 again lol :)

So, i went back to lvl 45 again. At first i thought that i only needed to make sure that i unlocked the C4 (This was the one i hadn't unlocked the first time) and then my achievement would pop. This didn't happen. I also didn't unlock the weapons in order the second time.

I had to make it back to lvl 45 and it unlocked. As to clarify when you get your last weapon unlocks, they become available at lvl 43 and 45.

Also when i was reaching rank 50 i never stockpiled weapon unlocks and i was unlocking the weapons in order.

Well, finally I've got the avhievement in my 2ond reboot. When I reach level 50 in both times I finally with 19/20 weapons. The first time I can't buy the 2ond heavy machine gun, and when I got the level to buy, the cheevo not pop.

The second time I left the flash grenade to buy, and inmediatly after the reebot - I have the limited edition and I go to level 5 and have one weapon token- I buy it and achievement pop.

For the ones with the LE I recomended not buy the flash grenade, 'cuz in case u arrive at level 45 and got 19/20 weapons, u can buy it inmediatly after the reboot.

Just got to lvl 46 on my first run and no achievement - what should I do?

I had 19/20 weapons. Prestiged went back to level 45 and I was able to get all 20/20 unlocks and the achievement

Is there a specific way I should unlock the weapons on my second prestige? Or should I just unlock the weapons randomly?

For anyone who installed the patch first, then used the code, you're safe. I just unlocked this tonight. When I first put the game in, it asked for update, I did that, then rebooted, put the Pre-order code in and started to play.

Just boosted from 22-45 and it popped just as it should've.

Grr it glitched on me ... Just like the campaign completion cheevy for veteran... I like this game but it's really getting ridiculous!

I am almost sure that this glitch happens when you level up in a match and get kicked from it (because of lag, being idle and so on) or when you leave the match before it ends. You then do not receive the level up awards (dog tags, weapon unlocks...), which you would have received if you completed the match.

Do anybody know in which levels you receive each of the 20 weapon unlocks?

Glitched on me too. Had three unlocks left at 41, but only got 1 unlock at level 45, while others claimed to have gotten 2.

You get a weapon unlock token at each of these levels:
5, 7, 9, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24, 27, 29, 31, 33, 37, 40, 43, 45

Glitched for me too. I had all 20 weapons, prestiged, and still no achive! :@:( I saw someone got it at level 18 of their reboot. That would be better than going all the way up to 45 again, but I'm about done with this game. Ahh, the anger.

I didn't get a weapon unlock at 40, like you are apparently supposed to. This happened when I ranked up during a game, but thanks to the pointless "host mitigation" I did not receive an unlock token.

Didn't get this achievement. Got to 50. Rebooted. Basked in glory waiting for the achievement and... Nothing. I didn't get it. I did not unlock C4 the first time around. Unless there's a fix, I'm no longer playing crysis.

I hit level 45 got the last weapon unlock that I needed and unlocked the C4 and....nothing happened. I don't need anymore unlocks so, what the hell am I supposed to do?

FYI I've seen it written that if you have all of the weapons unlocked and the achievment doesn't pop you need to level up to 50 and reboot the nanosuit. Well I just leveled up and did the reboot (an extra 15+ hours of MP to get there) and the achievement still hasn't popped.

Total glitch out on me too. Got upto 45, unlocked all the weapons in order, but no Achievement. Recovered my gamertag on my 2nd console; no Achievement. Deleted my save game and started up the single player, backed out and went to the multiplayer suite. No Achievement. I'm 48 now, so I'll be rebooting the suit and continuing on till the damn thing pops.

Level 39. First Reboot. Absolutely Feck All >:(

45 again, all weapons unlocked twice and ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING.

Rebooted the suit, and had a challenge that gave me a whopping 7500 xp, so I went straight from rank 1 to 6 in one game--- it popped at the end. some tips;

1) PLAY LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER.
2) DO NOT wipe your cache.
3) DO NOT delete any information from your HDD (Dedication achievement still needs that info to work I'm guessing).
4)????
5) Profit.

Yup, unfortunately, that appears to be the only way to guarantee it.

I've just hit Rank 45 and the achieve didn't pop, unlocked ALL 20 weapons as well. Currently recovering my profile which is taking years as per usual, will have to see how it goes from there :(

Recovered my profile, re-downloaded the update, played a few matches last night and hit Rank 46. Loaded up the game today, and my Rank has been reset :'(

Really don't know what I've done wrong here? I wouldn't be bothered about working back up to rank 50 but once Gears 3 comes out, this game can well and truly FUCK OFF for a few years.... or maybe just forever.

Just to add, there is confirmation by Crytek that there will be no further patches for Crysis 2, as the amount of people playing the game regularly is not enough to warrant such an expenditure. Follow our advice and just keep soldiering on with it, because it does unlock eventually, its just there's no telling when.

Got all the way to level 50, no achievement, rebooted the suit did nothing and went all the way back to level 25, still nothing. I'm done with this POS game, I'm not dumping anymore time into it to have this pop whenever it feels like it.

This has got to be the most frustrating problem I've ever had in games. 65 hours of my life and now 49 out of 50 fucking achievements with no idea if I'll ever get the last one. This is the last crytek game that I buy.

guys, i really need help - i just rebooted and have 3/22 weapons - but i got one unlock. what should i do? i missed the hammer on my first run-through - it can be unlocked at lvl 13. do i have to go to lvl 13? or should i unlock a weapon with the unlock i got now? and which one? HELLLPPPP!

somehow i rebooted and got to lvl 5 already! it looks like i used the code after i reached lvl 5...

I got to lvl 45 yesterday with 20/22 weapons unlocked but achievement didn't pop. Do I have to buy the DLC's now to get the 2 weapons and the achievement or what shall I do?

Currently ranking back up to 40 to try the other solution with the multiple unlock tokens. Anyways, I've also heard that one can have the achievement pop if one recovers their gamertag onto another Xbox. I did this, played one round and still no "tooled up" or "dedication" which is now a month late.

I also noticed that all of my custom classes were reset to their defaults which made me skeptical that "tooled up" would pop.

I just became the latest victim of this glitch. Level 45 & 20/20 weapons. No achievement.

Summarizing all possible precautions:

1) Don't use Limited Edition code to skip to Lv. 5.
2) Unlock weapons in from left to right consecutively.
3) Finish the round when you reach a new rank. (Otherwise, no weapon unlocks given)
4) Do not use weapon unlocks in a countdown lobby. (A match commencing might interfere with progress tracking.)
5) Try not to scavenge enemy DLC weapons (FY71 alike).

Just wondering why this solution is still the top one when my solution is not only the early way to get this, but the almost guaranteed way as well? I have nothing against this guide, but it’s no longer the top solution in my eyes, since technically it’s not really a solution, more of a guide. Anyways, anyone having problems with this achievement take a look at my solution, I am sure it will get you the achievement if you have at least a token or two left over and are at least level 39. Good luck all, hopefully we can all unlock this buggy achievement, it always sucks when the game makers choose to ignore a buggy achievement, but at least this one is eventually obtainable.

So if i have 20 out of 20 i will unlock the achievement when i reboot?

The glitch works at level 40. Just unlock a weapon and back out to the main menu and repeat for every weapon not unlocked. I got mine at 40.

I have followed all these wacky guides having rebooted 3 times now I'm giving up.. and now im not gunna touch crysis 3.. simply not work my time!! Grrrr

I told them and they said thanks we will look into it... which means we know, they only replied because I mentioned I wasnt going to buy crysis 3. i can confirm that if it glitches on you reset after lvl 50 and you dont need to clear the cache get past lvl 5 and it pops at end of the game

I think that's because I own the Limited Edition and the game needs al lthe weapons, including the 2 for LE code. But I don't have the code, then I will still have 20/22 weapons. Cannot touch the other 2 weapons and I will never get this achievement???

This worked for me and a buddy of mine:
We tried the same method as mentioned above, unlock a weapon, quit out of MP, re-enter and unlock a different weapon.
But it didn't work for both of us, so we tried this method on a different class (we used everytime class 1) and we got our achievements. So maybe give this a try.

Just glitched me and rebooting the nanosuit didn't work. I think if you get glitched but have all 20 weapons then it will unlock after prestige, but if it glitches you out of a weapon unlock then you have to go through to level 45 again.

i had the LE code which gave me XP to level 5 and a weapon unlock, hit lvl 50 half legit/half boosting and finished with 19/20 weapons, reset my nano, used my first weapon unlock and no ach - my guess is that the few people who got the ach after the initial glitch, unlocked the weapon they were missing the first time- the people ive talked to with 19/20 all had the LE code as suggested by BrumtownMangler

Glitched on me as well. I had 20/20 weapons unlocked, no achievement. However, when I 'rebooted' it unlocked immediately.

maxed out at level 50 with 18/20 weapon unlocks , just did a reboot of suit so going to unlock the 2 weapons that i did not get unlocks for last time first see if that cures it i have the standard edition of game not the LE

Just unlocked Tooled Up on my second prestige. I think what may have helped was that when I started the game up I went to settings and chose my memory card (which had nothing Crysis related on it), then I backed out to the title screen and chose my memory card when the option came up. I then played 1 game and soon as the end game scoreboard came up the achievement unlocked. It's speculation to be sure but maybe it'll work for others?
FYI: I was promoted to level 25 as well as unlocking my 5th custom class and grenade level 3 during that game.

so here's my story:
- got the game.
- played multiplayer and reached rank 5 legit.
- put in the LE code after i reached rank 5 with no effect.
- every weapon unlocked but the hammer (lvl13)
- rebooted + got to lvl 5 + 1 weapon unlock instantly (LE code! yeee!)
- went back to lvl 13 without unlocking anything
- unlocked hammer
- got the achievement.

Hardstyle, simple answer, no. The DLC does not count towards the weapon count and will not unlock the achievement. How do I know? Because I took one for the team to confirm it wouldn't work and wasted my money on trying it. The only thing you can really do is keep playing and prestige and hope it unlocks sometime the second time around. Mine popped when I hit level 4 after I prestiged, I didn't have to unlock anything again. I didnt even unlock the weapon classes.

Reaching rank 45 gives you the last weapon unlock token. Whether or not I have yet unlocked this (glitched) achievement does not change that fact.

The glitch works at level 40. Just unlock a weapon and back out to the main menu and repeat for every weapon not unlocked.

tryied it your way, i reset my self after level 50, ranked up again... still has not popped

I'm not prescribing a "way," Snowy, I'm telling people what happened to me. Sorry to hear it hasn't popped for you. Did you hit your second level 5 after doing the Reboot?

Same...ranked up for the second time to 45 unlocked all weapons. Nothing.

So I am level 45, used my last weapon unlock. Says 20/22. Are you saying I just need to "re-up" and that should unlock the last 2 weapon skins, and the achievement should unlock?

As I said, for me it was reaching level 5 after the reboot. Your experience may vary with this glitchy bitch.

If I unlock all weapons in order it should unlock properly then? I have no progress or unlocks as of now, everything is a clean slate.

Great solution in terms of what weapons unlock when, have used this a lot now to determine which I need to purchase next (assuming acquiring them in order is of any significance). I'm now on my 2nd reboot with no luck, hoping the achievement unlocks in the near future.
