How to unlock the Delta: Act III achievement in Crysis - Definitive Guide

Please see my guide for Act One if you are having Delta achievements issues (it will not pop up after you beat levels or game on Delta, there is a tracking glitch in the game seems to only record your 1st time through for difficulty and will not adjust for higher difficulty on subsequent playthroughs).

Hardest part for me was the last boss. Best approach is take out his 4 guns up close using the large wreckage right in front of him and use mini gun on turrets (so pick one up as well as a Guass Rifle and ammo, this will be all you need).

Once they are down run back to the door (now blocked) that you came out of to get onto the deck and there is more mini-gun ammo there, pick it up and now run to you left around the wrecked fighter and through the fire (you will take damage but not die) and keep moving to your left and back and you will see 2 more wrecked fighters near the edge run to these and over the edge you will see a walkway that you can jump down to, get down there, crouch down and wait.

Psycho and the girl in the VTOL will talk to you, wait till they ask for help then CLOAK and stand up, the aliens will not see you, line up the closest one and let him have full Mini-gun carnage and when he goes down quickly crouch down again and max out you health and energy then rinse and repeat on the next two aliens.

If the girl says use the Tac Gun do not do this till all 3 aliens and down and dead do not worry the shield will stay down till you are ready. Also do not worry about the VTOL, the aliens cannot destroy it. Once one side is down it will repeat the same 3 alien thing again so do the above again. Stay on this walkway till all the aliens are dead then jump up and put the second Tac Gun round into the other side.

Checkpoint here. Now Equip the Gauss rifle and run up to the Alien ship, it will begin to rise up and fly over the ship deck. On the other side of the ship is another walkway lower down, get down there and depending on which side of the alien ship you are use the Gauss to take down the turrets first on your side then start blasting the circular lit up hatch on the underside with the Gauss as well (should take several blasts to do this and open a hole). if small aliens attack you just use the Gauss on them as well. Once the Hatch is open put a TAC round inside and you have taken down the alien ship.

Now jump up and race to the end of the deck for pick-up, hide behind the raised jet blast panel near the back of the deck and equip the mini-gun again will full ammo. Hiding here will delay the small aliens from tracking you, use cloak if you have the energy left. Just stay here and kill any aliens that do find you and wait till the VTOL has gotten into position at back of ship then race to the back and get on board. Congrats and enjoy the Cutscene (double achievement time for 120 points).

Great strategy for the final boss. I kept getting owned by his insta-kill move but going to the back of the ship made the fight a breeze. The boss can't touch you back there and the aliens will only attack you when you attack first.

After taking out the turrets on the main boss there's another place just right of the door you come out of, difficult to describe, but it's like two big boxes one partly on top of another at an angle. If you go prone and cloak, the flying things can't see you. Wait to get the signal to fire the TAC cannon (don't engage when they tell you too) you can sneak out, uncloak-fire-cloak and go back into hiding and wait for the next time. You don't have to fight at all coz they can't see you and the boss can't get you. After both arms are taken out it's best to move closer to the pickup point and then take the boss out with a final shot then run for it

Should’ve done Core on Delta, because I am not doing that mission ever again.

Had some trouble with the second to last boss. Luckily there are 9 missiles around on the deck and keeping the 3 with you from the ship's interior.

The glitch problem is only for the first Delta Act achievement or even for the second, the third and the completion achievement? For now i deleted my old save, i' m selecting each new mission i have to complete in max. Diff. And for now i got the Act 1 and i had not a lot o problems about deaths , i only can say, stay hide as much you can, be quick in your action or be dead!

Alright people this is it, just run through on Delta and the 1000G is all yours. Follow my guide lines closely!

1. Make sure that before you start you go into the options and change the difficulty to Delta manually, then go to new game and select Delta difficulty AGAIN! So both in options and in new game. This will prevent a good percentage of you from being glitched out.

2. Always skip what you can, ignore secondary mission and run past enemies. A good 80% of this game can be avoided.

3. Use Cloak to sneak past enemies so you can get inside buildings to gather your intel. When caught or in a firefight, use armor as much as you can. Armor will be broken quickly, but it will save your life on occasion. Remember to watch your energy. It does not last very long so remember to find cover within eye range to recharge while sneaking.

4. SILENCER; ever played splinter cell? Well your going to have to go Tom Clancy style if you want things to be easier. Put on a silencer, go cloak and pop a head and hide. Re-cloak pop a head and hide. And also switch to single-shot, not fully auto. You will never run out of ammo this way. If you use a silencer then the enemies will not be alerted. Not saying you should do this the whole time, but when you need to gather intel from an objective point, use this tactic.

5. NANO SOLDIERS; there are a few parts with Nano Soldiers that can prove to be difficult. Just use the SHOTGUN. Make sure you use the long range shell by pressing left on the D-pad. Less scatter means they take more shrapnel at close range. Takes 2-3 shots and they will die.

6. VEHICLES; Make sure to use vehicles to travel far distance and skip loads of enemy. If you see another vehicle you can take the chance to pass him and live. But if you see two vehicles then take another route. They will tear you to pieces. Found them very helpful through my Delta Playthrough.

Episode 07 - Center
Episode 08 - Paradise Lost

If these episodes were completed on SPECIAL FORCES difficulty (without aiming, there is no sight indicator), then at the end of the tenth episode, after destroying a huge alien ship and entering an air transport, this achievement will open.
