How to unlock the Zoology achievement in Crysis - Definitive Guide

This is the easiest achievement in the game.

When you first take full control of the game, after a difficult landing, you will wind up on a beach.
In front of you, should be a turtle.
Just pick it by pressing X.

And voilà !

For some reason, I was unable to pickup the turtle, but got it later by picking up a crab......

I've picked up all kinds of animals but the achievement doesn't popped.

Just as the solution above me says, you can find a turtle on the beach in the begining. But if it doesn't by any means appear, then don't worry. There are plenty of diffrent animals in the first mission and are difficult to miss all of them, cause many of them are in big packs.

So far i've seen chickens, crabs and some sort of mammals, but i'm sure there are plenty of more diffrent animals!

You can get this right at the beginning of the game.

After you landed and made your way to the beach you should see a couple of turtles. Just pick one up with cn_S and the Trophy pops.

If you struggle with finding some animals you can always go to an enemy base. Usually there are a couple of chickens there.

Just walk up to an animal and pick it up with square.

At the very beginning after you parachute, you will land in the water and prophet will tell you to go toward the beach. Right when you reach the little beach there will be a turtle there. Just pick it up with X and achievement will pop immediately.


Alternative Method

You can get this trophy throughout the game but the easiest spot is in Chapter 1 when you touch the first piece of land after dropping from the plane there will be a turtle in front of you simply pick it up and you'll get this trophy. Wait for the trophy to unlock and then put it down.
