Okay, here we go!
After the opening sequence...

Now let's go for three other easy awards.
Click on your PDA and select the Options menu and then quit.

Finally, let's start working on the case.
Superla Spa
===========
From where you first start, click towards the two baths. Click on the left
bath which is filled with mud to check it out.
Now scroll to the right until you see a round rock with a hole in it. Process
it with the casting tool to get your first piece of evidence : A PLASTER CAST
OF TWO DIFFERENT HOLES IN DRYWALL AT SPA.
Next, between both baths, there is some substance on the wall with smoke.
Go towards it and click the arrow and process the evidence with collection.
You get SOOTH FROM NEAR MUD BATHS AT SPA.
Back out and go towards the door. You're in the kitchen. Go towards the muffin
and open it. Process the evidence to get BURNT SUBSTANCE, PROBABLE IGNITION
SOURCE FROM TOASTER IN SPA.
Back out and then check the open tile on the ceiling near the upper cabinets.
Process to get CHEMICAL FROM THE CEILING OF THE SPA.
Back out and check the left wall. Process it to get SOOT FROM BREAK ROOM AT
SPA.
After collecting it, go through the left door of the kitchen. Check out the
right wall to get SOOT FROM BOILER ROOM AT SPA.
Check the bottom the middle tank and process the cut cable to get MARKINGS
FROM SEVERED GAS LINE AT SPA.
Finally, let's question the owner of the spa, Pete Baxa. You'll get PETE
BAXA'S BUSINESS CARD. Following this, Catherine will come in and you'll
examine the mud bath. Check the top of the bath. Surprise surprise. There's
a body hidden in the bath. Wouldn't be CSI without a dead body, eh?
You'll find yourself in the morgue following the events. Go into evidence and
check the business card. Right in the middle of it, you'll find PETE BAXA'S
FINGERPRINT. A suspect giving away free evidence? Quite the generous man.
By the way, you should be at 26% Thoroughness by now and have Spa completed.
Main Lab
=========
First off, explore the data lab and check the Audio/Video and Database
Computer. Next, go up in the main corridor right in front of the elevator.
Finally, go to the Materials Lab, check the Photo Wall on the right. The
Reconstruction Table next to the entrance, the Microscope and the Substance
Analysis. This should give you 44% Thoroughness.
Now, we've got a lot to process. Go to Substance Analysis - Chemical. Do a
search on all 5 evidence you collected. Don't mess up anything or you'll get a
hit on the Skill for the case.
First, the soot from the spa. 2nd option and 4th option. You get SOOTH
CONTAINING ACETONE FROM NEAR MUD BATHS AT SPA.
Second, the burnt muffin. 1,5,6. You get BURNT MUFFIN, PROBABLE IGNITION
SOURCE FROM TOASTER IN SPA.
Third, the chemical from the ceiling. 1,5,6. You get ASBESTOS FROM THE CEILING
OF THE SPA.
Fourth, the soot from the break room. 1,3. You get SOOT CONTAINING ACETONE
FROM BREAK ROOM AT SPA.
Lastly, the soot from the boiler room. 1,2,3. You get SOOT CONTAINING ACETONE
FROM BOILER ROOM AT SPA.
Great! We just confirmed it's an arson. Autopsy is ready so let's go pay a
visit to Doc Robbins.
Morgue
======
Check the small table on the right for thoroughness. Talk with Doc Robbins
until you can't. You get VICTIM'S TEN CARD & VICTIM's DNA.
Hmmm. Suffocation with a a bruise substained a few hours before death. Check
her arm and process it to get PICTURE OF BRUISES ON VICTIM'S ARM.
Now let's talk with Doc Robbins again.
She had cancer?! Quite a motive. Revenge-suicide? Cover-up? Unless...
she's that criminal from CSI Season 7 who got stuck in cement trying to
hide a body!! Oh wait, no. That was a man.
So we need to identify our victim. Drop by Brass's office and the
interrogation room on the way for thoroughness. So quickly drop by the lab and
search her prints and DNA. Turns out she's not in CODAS nor AFIS.
Let's drop by the Barber Shop to see if Pete Baxa knows her.
Barber Shop
===========
Simply knock on the door. He'll come to identify her. It's Portia Weissman.
Perfect chance to question him!
Interrogation Room
==================
Ask Pete Baxa if she has any reason to start the fire. Present the asbestos to
contradict his statement. Question him about everything else.
Turns out she might have had an abusive boyfriend. That would explain the
bruise. Quit when you're done.

Quickly drop by the Victim's Loft.
Back to interrogation room!
So question Brian Reid, her ex-boyfriend found in her loft with the door
bashed open.
When he claims he never hit her, contradict him with the picture.
Darn! He has an answer for everything. Let's see what we can find at her loft.
Victim's Loft
=============
Check the foot print at the entrance to get SHOE PRINT FROM VICTIM'S LOFT &
CHEMICAL FROM SHOE PRINT IN VICTIM'S LOFT.
Go further. Check the broken leck and process it to get MARKINGS FROM THE DOOR
TO PORTIA WEISSMAN'S APARTMENT.
Check the kitchen. Look in the drawer under the oven to get PADS OF FINANCIAL
RECORDS SHOWING THAT SUPERLA SPA DID LITTLE BUSINESS. So Pete lied to us about
having a great business. We'll have to chat with him about that later.
Pick up the hammer on the ground to get FIREFIGHTER'S TOOL, TAKEN FROM BRIAN
REID. A firefighter suspect in an arson? Interesting.
Check out the beads on the ground to pick up HAIR FROM BEAD CURTAIN IN PORTIA
WEISSMAN'S LOFT.
Go to the living room and notice the computer has no hard drive. Go upstairs
then go back to the lab. You should have 77% Thoroughness.
Main Lab
========
Identify the chemical from the shoe print. 2,3,4. You get ACETONE AND SPA MUD
FROM SHOE PRINT IN VICTIM'S LOFT.
Compare the hole markings with the denver tool. Match!
Compare it to the markings on the door. Match!
Compare the denver tool with the markings on the door. Match!
Back to Brian.
Interrogation Room
==================
Question him until he tells you he didn't break the door open. Contradict with
the markings on the door.
When he claims he'd never set a fire, contradict with markings from the
drywall.

Get a warrant from Brass with the hair evidence.

Enter and go in the back. Check the desk and pick up PORTFOLIO WITH PORTIA
WEISSMAN'S RECORDS OF SUPERLA SPA'S FINANCES. Process it for FINGERPRINT FROM
THE LEDGER IN PETE BAXE'S OFFICE. Also pick up PACKAGE OF VEGAN BLUEBERRY
MUFFINS and HARD DRIVE FROM COMPUTER AT BARBER SHOP.
Open the drawers on the right of the room and pick up TAX FORMS CLAIMING LARGE
INCOME FROM SUPERLA SPA.
Enter the next room and pick up SHOES FROM BARBER SHOP. Check the bottom of
the shoes for CHEMICAL FOUND ON SHOES FROM BARBER SHOP and check the top left
for FINGERPRINT FOUND ON SHOES FROM BARBER SHOP.
Pick up A JUG LABELED ACETONE. Check the toolbox for PLUMBLING SHEARS FROM
TOOLBOX IN BARBER SHOP and FINGERPRINT FROM TOOLBOX IN BARBER SHOP.
Finally, search on the far right and pick up DENVER TOOL FOUND AT THE BARBER
SHOP. Examine it for FINGERPRINT FROM DENVER TOOL FOUND AT THE BARBER SHOP.
Whew. Lots of evidence. By the way, you should be at 100% everywhere.
Main Lab
========
First off, compare Portia's fingerprinst with the ones from the ledger. Match!
Next, compare Pete's fingerprints with the ones on the shoes. Match!
Compare Pete's fingerprints with the ones on the toolbox. Match!
Compare Portia's fingerprints with the ones on the denver tool. Match!
Do a computer analysis on the hard drive.
Do a chemical search on the vegan muffins. 2,3,4. It's really vegan muffins.
Compare the chemicals on the shoes with the ones on the shoes prints. Match!
Do a search on the acetone jug. 1,5,7,8.
Do a microscrope comparison of the gas line markings and the shears at x60.
Match!
Do a macroscope comparison of the shoe prints and the shoes. Match!
Do a macroscope comparison of the denver tool and the drywall markings. Match!
Finally, compare the denver tools and the lock markings. Match and game over!

Great guide! helped a ton! just want to mention that I followed your guide completely and at the end had 100% Skill, Thoroughness and Cunning but did not get 1) Close Counts After All, 2) Test Tube Washer, or 3) Technically Perfect achievements.
I was like WHAT??? So I went back loaded the autosave at the very end of the Case watched the ending of the case again and the last three popped.
Only thing I can think of is instead of doing the ("X" achievements unlocked for "XxxG") thing like other games do, it popped one at a time, which takes a while. When the case credits ended, the achievements stopped popping. If you load the last autosave for it, watch the case ending again, it continues popping achievements.
Just thought I'd mention that in case if others have the same issue.
I was like WHAT??? So I went back loaded the autosave at the very end of the Case watched the ending of the case again and the last three popped.
Only thing I can think of is instead of doing the ("X" achievements unlocked for "XxxG") thing like other games do, it popped one at a time, which takes a while. When the case credits ended, the achievements stopped popping. If you load the last autosave for it, watch the case ending again, it continues popping achievements.
Just thought I'd mention that in case if others have the same issue.
