This achievement requires you to save 999 cyborgs in a single stage.
This seems daunting but it's actually not that hard. What you need to do is to play a game on Super Easy mode. Choose any ship you want, choose the lock-on power shot, and any speed you want.
Now play through all the way until stage 5 and save your game. Now make sure you use the lock-on shot throughout the entire level and collect every single cyborg you see. Do your best to keep stocked on bombs to stay alive as well. Because you're on Super Easy, you have the auto bomber. Do not use any bombs manually. If you run out of lives your cyborg count resets to zero. If that happens, load up your save at the beginning of stage 5.
You can keep track of how many cyborgs you saved by the red counter on the main game screen (not the gadget panels) in the top left corner. Once that counter hits 999 you'll unlock your achievement.
