How to unlock the Tycoon achievement in Dark Cloud - Definitive Guide

The maximum amount of money you can have is 65,535. There are a couple ways you can go about this. I sold everything I didn't use (amulets, treasure keys, bait, extra attachments/weapons) and stashed gold bullion in storage. I had 55K gold when I got to the last dungeon, keeping in mind that I had also spent a bunch of money on potato cakes along the way to farm for gems and used all my bait fishing until I got to Muska Lacka, so it's not really that difficult. Once I got 10K more in the last dungeon, I cashed in all my gold. When I tried to sell an attachment, I received the message, "You already have enough money," but the trophy hadn't appeared. Don't panic. Just sell him little things (I sold premium waters) until you max out, and the trophy will pop.

Another way to speed this up without selling as much would be to buy and break a Big Bucks Hammer to attach to a weapon and raise the amount of money received from enemies. You can buy these in Queens. I've also read of people using Poison Apples to fish in Matataki for Mardans then using all the fish points for Mighty Healings, which were then sold, but I personally find fishing for Mardans tedious, and I use all of my fishing points on gems.

Another way is to keep about 10 to 20 thousand on you and try to get one of those buffer circles to increase your gold. I had 20g and stepped on one it turned into 50g. And dont forget after selling all your stuff to get the achievement you DO NOT HAVE TO SAVE.

Glitch your way to success, I can attest that this still works on the PS4 version, I have a GB account but I can't imagine any variation between regions.

So here's the steps in text;
1 - Go to Nulan Village, stand near the shop guy but don't open the shop menu.
2 - Open your weapon tab.
3 - Equip another weapon with Toan and then equip your dagger.
4 - Talk to the shop guy to open the shop menu.
5 - Scroll all of they way down in your item menu.
6 - Put the cursor over the ice attachment in the shop menu.
7 - Press right on the D-pad and X at the same time.

If done correctly you can get the broken dagger which will super boost any weapon it's attached to.

This can be done repeatedly, if you find you're not getting any more broken daggers simply start back at step 2 and get as many as you like.

To get money from this simply attach the broken dagger to any simple weapon, cheap kitchen knives can be bought from Jacks' Store in Queens for 400 and sell for around 16000.

This game went all inception on our asses and gave us a glitch within a glitch. I'm not sure what the variation is here, maybe it's because I entered a dungeon with the dagger equipped and still had the broken dagger attachments in my inventory, or I stopped equipping another weapon and just kept equipping the dagger or if removing the dagger attachment from 1 weapon and later putting it on another weapon caused the attachments to become weird and lose much of their benefits.

My suggested approach to avoid the glitch is to do the steps exactly as listed and to only equip a dagger attachment to one weapon, meaning as soon as it's on a weapon leave it there, if you want other weapons with the attachment boost just make some new daggers.

It's easier to use Glitch Money
I only managed to do it once
This is some kind of wild randomness.

I made an item to sell for 16k, but it sold for 50k
Further, things with such prices, on the contrary, took money away from me and nothing came of it.
In any case, there was 5k left to the amount - just sell everything in your inventory.

But the game stops us again: sellers do not accept goods when they reach 65.534
All that remains is to go to the dungeon and extract pennies from the monsters
