How to unlock the Covenant: Chaos Servant achievement in Dark Souls - Definitive Guide

Near the bell in Quelagg's Domain, lies a staircase which leads down into a room with a sphere symbol in the middle. There should be a wall made of spider webs in this room, strike the webs and they will dissipate, revealing a hidden area.

Once the hidden area is revealed, you will see a human egg host guarding the entrance. It is advised you don't attack him. You are able to talk to him, and he will ask you if you are a new servant, respond with yes. You will then be allowed to enter the room, and speak to the queen (she will be obvious when you enter). Speak to her, and ask to join the covenant. Achievement unlocked!

The bell is located at the end of Quelagg's Domain (swamp area), right after the Chaos Spider Witch boss.

If you have the Old Witch's Ring equipped, you will be able to understand the queen, although it is unnecessary for the achievement.

I killed the egg-host by accident and I still had the option to join the Covenant. I would advise against it especially if you are a Pyromancer as I later referenced the guide book and you need a spell from it.

You need the Old Witches Ring gift to talk to her. It doesn't really matter though.

Where can you find the Old Witches Ring in game? As far as I know the only Gift item that is not available as loot is the Master Key. Anyone know where I can get the ring?

I am pretty sure you have to trade the baby crow something for it. I forgot though...

If you look at the IGN guide, go to the "Undead Asylum 2", and there's a table listing all of the trades that are possible with the crow there.

For the record I also killed the NPC not knowing I could talk to him haha. I promptly died from the leeches after but was still able to join the covenant. Now I know for my next playthrough heh.

Carlos Again's solution is spot on, however I just wanted to add that if you were looking for this achievement
Dark SoulsBond of a PyromancerThe Bond of a Pyromancer achievement in Dark Souls worth 86 pointsAcquire all pyromancies.

Then you need to not only join this covenant, but also level it to acquire both spells.

FUN FACT: Once you do that, and get everything you need from her and Eingyi, then you can actually kill her for a Firekeeper's Soul. this will piss of Eingyi, but who cares! That guy is slow as hell laugh

Right after you defeat Quleag and ring the second Bell of Awakening head down the stairs to the right of the lever and you will be in a circular room one wall seems slightly flat compared to the rest attack it to make it vanish. Talk to the minion in your way and tell him "Yes" when he asks if your the new servant, if you say no you'll have to kill him locking his available pyromancy spell until the next playthrough.

Talk to the giant white spider and say "Join Covenant" you don't have to actually click yes after that to get the trophy just wait a few seconds.
:Do note while in the covenant you need feed her humanity until you are a Chaos Servant+2 in order to obtain two more pyromancy spells for the "get all pryomancies" trophy, you must also be a CS+2 After obtaining the Lordvassal in order to have Solaire assist you during the final boss fight.

Heres a visual representation I take No credit for this video but note he says things that may be offensive to some viewers so if you are of the sensitive type I recommend muting his dialogue. Please leave a like on his Yotube page if you wish to support this video.

To join the Chaos Servant covenant you need to have advanced until the point of the game where you ring the bell in Queelag's Domain, after beating Queelag to be precise.

How to Join:
In the room after Queelag's lair you'll be able to either go up and ring the bell or go down and find the passage to Demon Ruins. Go down the stairs and in one of the sides of the room there will be a hidden hallway beneath a fake wall. Inside it you'll find Queelag's sister, the Daughter of Chaos. You can't speak to her unless you have the Old Witch's Ring equipped but that doesn't stop you from joining the covenant. Beside her you'll find her servant, Eingyi, who also can let you in the covenant.

Rewards for Joining/Ranking Up:
Upon joining you will receive the Great Chaos Fireball pyromancy. To upgrade your rank in this covenant you need to offer a sacrifice of (banked) humanities to the Daughter of Chaos.

Covenant Ranks:

  • Offering 10 humanities upgrades you to rank+1 but gives no reward.
  • Offering 30 humanities upgrades you to rank+2 and you are rewarded with the Chaos Firestorm pyromancy and also gain the ability to open the sealed stone door shortcut in Demon Ruins to Lost Izalith. This is required for the pyromancies trophy.
  • Offering 80 humanities upgrades you to rank+3 but gives no reward.

Other Notes:
Eingyi will sell you two unique pyromancies but to be able to buy them you must first show loyalty to him. In order to do so you must get a egg-parasite in your head and then talk to him whilst having your head replaced by the egg. To get the parasite you can simply walk outside to the entrance of Demon Ruins and let one of the Eingyi-like enemies grab you and plant it in your head. After some time has passed the egg will hatch and you can go back and talk to Eingyi.

Having the egg in the place of your head enables you to wear any helmet and you also become weak to any fire-based damage. To get rid of the parasite you must use a Egg Vermifuge consumable item, which can either be bought from Eingyi or dropped from Eingyi-type enemies.

Attacking either the Daughter of Chaos or Eingyi will make you instantly break the covenant.
