I found a series of YouTube videos showing the locations too, one per episode. A video is sometimes more helpful than pictures. Credits to radmotino who posted them on YouTube.

The gamesradar guids is alright for the first chapter, but shit, it suffers badly for the later ones. Thanks so much for finding these vids. 30G in the bag.

just finished the game and it says my radar has been uipgraded and that all collectables will be visible, does it help much

Journals are the collectibles of Dark Void. There are 57 total journals, scattered across 12 of the 14 chapters of the game (the first and last chapters, Prologue and The Tower of Return, contain no journals).

Journals are recognizable as small books that are found on the ground. They also shine every few seconds, usually making them noticeable from far away. Most journals are located on or near the game's "main path", although some are quite out of the way.

Also, your radar will be enhanced to show collectibles once you complete the game. This includes ammo caches, tech point pickups and journals. This can be very helpful for finding journals you may have missed.

Go HERE there is a Guide with pictures of every Journal you need. If you happen to beat the game and miss a few Journals, When you replay a level on your Mini-Map the Journals will be listed with an icon helping you locate them.
