This one is pretty easy.
Just shoot all the openings that are spewing out liquid around the middle-bottom of the arena.
I did this with the rocket pack, but it can be done with the AA's on the Ark as well.
Once you have closed all of the openings, you have to shoot the bubbles off of the critter in the bottom of the pit.
There are bubbles on the bottom to shoot off so be thorough. It took me several times of closing all the "valves" before I realized there were bubbles hiding on the bottom

At the start close the Orange Glands that spit out goo on the sides. There are 5 of them in a circle and they only stay closed for roughly 30 seconds. Once you do that look below at the very bottom. There are Orange Bubbles surrounding the entire thing you need to destroy all of them. Some at the bottom are hidden so fly down there to locate and destroy them all. Mission Complete!
