How to unlock the The Devastator achievement in Dark Void - Definitive Guide

The best spot for this is probably defending the ark, Episode 3 Chapter 1. I am not sure how many UFO's are spawned during this mission. But when I came back in after beating the game I took down 5 fighters and it popped. These all stack, so you can go back in and grab them after you beat the game.

There are a lot of opportunities in the last half of the game to fight UFOs. Breaking Camp, Defending the Ark for example. Simply hit B when you are near a Survivor's Fighter to take it over.

If you don't get this by the end of the game you can reload 2-4 Breaking Camp in the Episodes list on Casual.

At the same time you can do "Captain of the Ship" - Destroy 10 enemy aircraft while yours is on fire.

Select the "Defending the Ark" chapter. You will start in the fighter. Alternatively, you can select the "Breaking Camp" chapter - although you will have to get into the fighter yourself, the level is more open, enemies are easier, and it's a great spot to farm other trophies like "Captain of the Ship", "Grand Theft...UFO?" and "Demolition Derby".

The trophy is easily acquired in the Defending the Ark chapter, as you start the chapter in a Survivor fighter. Replay the beginning of the chapter as neccessary to unlock the trophy. This is also a good time to get the Captain of the Ship trophy.

It is possible to unlock the trophy before this, as you can board a Survior fighter during any aerial combat section where they are present. The kills accumulate over the entire game, and still count if you die/quit after performing one.

Load up Chapter 2 Breaking Camp on Casual and gain control of a Survivor Fighter. These are the very old vintage look planes and kill 25 UFO's with these.
