How to unlock the Rocked Your Face Off achievement in Darksiders - Definitive Guide

First time you meet the Griever, pick up the blaster, and keep shooting towards her mouth, blue stone area.
She'll run away pretty quick

Second time you meet her.
Destroy as much of the blue rocks as you can, if she fires her lazer beam hide behind the blue rock(this will turn it red)
Once you have 1 rock left your going to have to run around in the open to draw the lazer away from the last blue rock(so it doesnt turn red) to be able to destroy it.
Once all destroyed, get behind the train cargo bed, and punch it forward a few times into her.
If she starts dropping rocks, (she usually makes a pounding sound) just run around it rather large circle till she stops.

When she lays down on the ground, run up and use the ground pound(just like destroying the blue rocks) on her heart exposing the fleshy part underneath.

Youll will have to punch the cart into her twice to down her, run up and hack and slash a little then run away.(remember to charge the Tremor Gauntlet for this punch)

From time to time you will get a mini cutscene and she will call down the green bird things.
Deal with all these (blade geyser is good for this).

If she starts dropping rocks, (she usually makes a pounding sound) just run around it rather large circle till she stops.

Rinse and repeat,
Green birds, punch cart, once she is down, hack and slash for a little and move out.
If rocks come down, run around in large circles.
If lazer beam, you can use the end of the cargo bed to hide behind.
After repeating this a number of times, youll get the cut scene, the achievement and a lifestone for defeating Griever.

I was struggling with this fight until I realised you actually need to charge the gauntlet when smashing the rail carriage into the Griever!! (i.e. hold down Y rather than tap).

Another note, those green duskwings will drop health if you instant kill them, which might be good if you're having trouble with avoiding the Griever's attacks. It's not much, but it might mean the difference between life and death.

You can hit her with the cart the seond time without running around and dodging the falling rocks. After you hit her the first time just run back to the general are that she hits the cart back to. Then do the charge punch again real quick while she is trying to make the rocks fall. You will get hit with 1 rock, but it shortens the fight by a good length.

it actually depends, the fight can vary a little each time.
The second time i went through i managed to hit the cart either 2 or 3 times,(was a while since ive played the game) and finish her off almost straight away. Always the same after you beat a boss, you whoop them the second play through no matter what difficulty :)

Just a little added advice:

Using the Horn is also very affective against the Green Birds. It makes those sections way easier. I hope that helps.

Part of the regular story progression. No special work necessary. This is the second boss you will encounter.
- Refer to "Tip 3" if you are having difficulties with this boss.
