How to unlock the First Place BEGINNER achievement in Daytona USA - Definitive Guide

Simply select the 8 lap beginner course. To make this crazy easy, change the settings to easiest difficulty for no problems at all. Try working on the 100 cone achievement during this too.

As the achievement guide says, all you have to do is win an arcade mode race on the beginner course (the oval). You can crank down the difficulty - the achievement doesn't care. I had both Time and Difficulty down on Very Easy without issues - had the AI all passed before the race was half over.

Select ARCADE mode and the first track, BEGINNER, then come in first after 8 laps. You can adjust the time and other options with no penalty to the trophy. Insanely easy bronze trophy.

Jump onto ARCADE Mode, set the difficulty and time difficulty at "very easy." Sit back, race through eight laps and take the top spot with ease. Each lap should take you between 15-18 seconds.

Go to Arcade Mode and pick the options as follows:

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time Limit: Very Easy
Mirror Mode: Off
Laps: Normal

Choose "automatic" when given the choice. There are 8 laps and 40 positions. You must be in position 1 by the time you cross the finish line. The top right of the HUD has the positions. This race is very straight forward. Just accelerate and turn when needed.
