How to unlock the Conniption achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide

I thought you needed to use the Spirits totem ability and you needed to down survivors while the totem power was activated.
This is not the case. You just need to spirit walk and down them. If you have difficulty with it use sloppy butcher/bloodhound and the spirits add-on that lets you see blood during the spirit walk. Works wonders.

Well you can't attack while phase walking. There is a window right after you pop out of a few seconds where it will count towards the achievement. You will see a score event pop up that will give you some additional points that is a good marker for hits that count.

So do you need to down them while in phase walk? Or after just popping out?

Generator grabs don’t seem to count, and that’s how I get most of my spirit downs.

The Spirit's killer ability lets her shed her physical body, allowing her spirit to move around unnoticed for a short duration before reappearing. You must use this ability to put a survivor into the dying state 30 times. For this, you need to down the survivor just moments after reappearing. You will know the hit counted if you receive the "Grudge" scoring event. The trophy will pop after the 30th survivor has been downed.

Some really good perks to use to help earn this trophy are:

Hex: No One Escapes Death (Basic perk) - Exposed status on survivors
Predator (Wraith perk) - can follow scratch marks easier when haunting in a chase
Stridor (Nurse perk) - Can hear the survivors better when haunting
Nurse's Calling (Nurse perk) - Can see aura of already injured survivor
Hex: Haunted Grounds (Spirit perk) - Exposed status on survivors
Rancor (Spirit perk) - Exposed status on Obsession

What worked the best for me was to combine Nurse's Calling with The Doctor's Monitor & Abuse perk so I could see someone trying to heal and get really close before activating my haunting. I would say this accounted for a vast majority of my progress towards this trophy. For more details on these perks, CLICK HERE to see the Killer Perks supplemental guide. For more detail on how this killer power works, keep reading below.

The Spirit's killer ability is called "Yamaoka's Haunting". To activate it, hold the button, and keep it held down. After a short charge time, you're free to move around in the spirit world. When in the spirit world, survivors cant see or hear the Spirit, but at the same time you cant see survivors or their auras. You can however still see the aura of generators and Exit Gates, scratch marks, loud noise notifications, objects the survivors interact with such as moving tall grass or corn stalks, and can hear noises survivors make. When in the spirit world your terror radius stays with your husk and you move at a faster speed. Survivors in your terror radius get no alert that you're in the spirit world, but after you leave your husk's terror radius any survivors close by but also outside the terror radius will hear a sound like strong rushing air. This sound isn't directional though so they cant hear where it's coming from. When in the spirit world, The Spirit cant vault windows. The spirit will reappear in the real world either when her power runs out or when you let go of the button. At base, Yamaoka's Haunting only lasts 5 seconds and takes 15 seconds to fully charge. If you end the haunting early you're refunded the amount of charge you didn't use. You can only use Yamaoka's Haunting again after it has fully recharged.

Playing as Spirit, you need to put 30 survivals within 2-3 seconds after leaving invisibility, drop them to the ground, and not injure them. At the final stage of the match, after the generators have been started, the HEX:No on escape death perk will help - with it you will kill survivors in one hit.

The Call of a Nurse is perfect; you will see those who are being treated, fly up and put them on the ground. And if you also have the Butcher, then the survivors will heal much longer and there will be more time to fly up to him.
