How to unlock the Kitted Out achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide

Special items can be created or found in a match and not taken out. Only one item type counts per match. Simply picking up or creating the item seems to be enough to count.

Progress is limited to one item type per match. For example, 1 flashbang and interacting with a killer's items would give you 2/35. Creating multiple flashbangs per match do not count.

Leon: Flashbang perk. Create it by jumping in a locker.

Nemesis: There are boxes with syringes. You will have to get infected in order to use it but not to interact with it.
Cenobite/Pinhead: The lament puzzle will be highlighted on the map. Find it and interact with it for it to count.
Onryo/Ring: Take a tape from a TV. IF you start with a tape, you will need to put it in a TV and THEN get another tape for it to count.
Wesker: There are boxes with spray.
Singularity: There are boxes with EMP devices. They can either be generated manually or waiting around will automatically generate them too.
Xenomorph: Take the flame-traps from the boxes. Taking them out of the box is all that is required.

Nostromo Map: Search the space suits that are lying around the map. One of them will have a key. Take the key inside the large spaceship (Nostromo) and use it to unlock a door (computer room) and then press left down up right to open the door.

Chemical Burn perk and Diversion pebble perk do not count.
T-bagging a camping Ghostface does not count either unfortunately.

Am I the only one who doesn't see any progress with the Xbox tracker? I played 3 games against the Xenomorph and placed at least 1 flame-trap in each one. But the tracker stays at 0.

EDIT: NVM I just received like 30% of progress all at once.

Yeah, it seemed sticky for me too.

I was very disappointed to find that using Victor as a hacky sack does not count as a Special Item use. Haha

You do not actually need to use items fully in order to progress this achievement. If you use Leon’s flash bangs for example, you get progress for just creating them. Most of the time there is a delay between creating and registering, but I have tested this. I also had the same success for Pinheads box, just interacting with it seemed sufficient and Xenomorphs flame turrets require you to interact with the container only it seemed (although I always placed them anyway)

I don't suppose that having riding you like a jokey count either.

You are right. I noticed my tracker went up just for creating the flashbang.

You can actually get credit for 2 per game if you run flashbang and are facing a killer with a special item. I was facing Xenomorph, went up 3% for deploying a turret, then went up an additional 3% after crafting a flashbang, so you can do this in as little as 18 games if you go against killers with special items each game.

Can also confirm you don't have to use the item; only craft it or pick it up. This achievement unlocked for me after I picked up an Onryo tape without delivering it.

Unfortunate for my teammates that I sui on hook, but I blame the devs for the “in different matches” specification

Mine unlocked after picking up first aid against wesker and I did not use it. Might be buggy positive. May only be limited to the first aid

I think you mean the "fart spray" that always spawns in matches against Wesker. They look like RE first aid sprays and yes, those count towards the achievement.

Has anybody tried using flashbangs? Any idea if creating one and using it counts? It might need to be dropped and picked up again though.

@A Seizure Salad Yes, flashbangs will work. The keycard from the Nostromo map Easter Egg will also work. They will stack with each other and whatever item the killer is running. So unlikely but, you can actually get up to 8-9% a match.
