How to unlock the Zealous achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide
I haven't put in much time as the Killer yet, so this will focus on getting Zealous as a Survivor.
Ok, so what's the most efficient way to get 8000 BP in one of the 4 survivor categories; Survival, Objectives, Boldness & Altruism?
This achievement can be worked on right from the start. Leveling & perks are, of course, helpful. But your own skill will dictate how you want to approach it.
I came very close today focusing on the Objectives. Over 7500 BP from repairing four generators: skill checks, co-ops & repairs. I'm sure that if I were able to open a gate or found another gen I could have maxed it at 8000. It does depend a lot on how eager your other survivors are. I'm going to keep at it with this method.
I'm guessing Survival is capped at 5000 BP for the escape?
As for Altruism, this seems like the 2nd best approach...maybe? If you're following everyone to heal them, they as a group may not be on top of the generators. Then you have double duty when it comes to escaping. Having said that, you may not have to actually escape to earn this.
Now: Boldness. Being fairly new to this game, I look at any Boldness points as gravy and don't go looking for trouble ;) This will surely change the more I play. So, I don't have anything helpful on this category right now.
I encourage anyone to comment on their own experiences below!

I popped this tonight. Landed bang on 8000 blood points for Objectives, so it unlocks on 8k exactly.
I repaired 4 generators solo, and did half of another. My survivor is level 21, and I cant remember what perks were used. But just so everyone knows that 8k exactly will work.

This achievement can be completed from either side if you have the skill to back it up.
Survivors have:
Altruism, Boldness, Objective, and Survival.
Altruism involves helping other survivors. You will get points for:
Healing, rescuing, taking a hit for another person, pallet & flashlight saves.
Boldness involves chases. You will get points for:
Being in a chase (running in front of the killer), Vaulting a window while in a chase, stunning a killer, and breaking totems (both dull and hex totems).
Objective points involve working towards escape. Generator Progress and Opening a gate. Gate progress yields no points, but opening a 99% gate gives full points.
Survival involves keeping yourself alive. Wiggling in the killers grasp, Healing yourself, Stunning with the perk Head On, struggling on hook against the Entity, and escaping all give survival points.
The easiest categories to obtain max points are Boldness and Objective, as maps are typically in the survivors favor chase wise at the beginning of a match. Altruism can be good if your team has the time or needs to regroup. Survival is the hardest, as escaping gives 5000, but the other methods barely give you any.
Killers have these categories:
Brutality, Hunter, Deviousness, and Sacrifice.
Brutality has to do with injuring & downing survivors and destroying objects. You will get points for:
Hitting a survivor, breaking pallets, walls, and gens.
Hunter involves chasing. The longer a survivor is engaged in a chase, the more points you get.
Deviousness involves the use of a killer's power, usually hitting or downing with a lethal power, or use of a nonlethal power. Each killer is radically different, so I cannot say all of the point categorizations, but I can give the example of Huntress. She has two point categories, one for landing a hatchet hit, and one for a precise shot. The only difference between the two is the distance of the huntress when a hatchet hits a survivor.
Sacrifice involves killing survivors. Survivors who die by hook give the most points, those who die by more give less, and those who die on the floor give a measly 50.
The best categories are Hunter and Brutality, as survivors will often give you chances to gain lots of points in these categories.
As you improve with the killers and survivors, you will get this on your own. This is more a guide to the Bloodpoint system and how to get this achievement efficiently.

This is more likely to happen as the killer than it is to happen as the survivor because the killer earns all his points alone whereas the survivor splits points across a team.
The easiest way to earn this trophy as a survivor is to rescue hook survivors. Every hooked survivor is worth 1,500 per save in the Altruism category, and healing injured survivors is another 400-500 points each. If you forfeit working on generators to save and heal other survivors then you can potentially get this without much issue.
As a killer, depending on the killer, it's fairly simple to earn this trophy by simply playing as you normally would. You're more likely to get 8,000 points in chasing survivors or using your powers than you are to earn it for hooking survivors or destroying generators so definitely keep your powers in mind.
This trophy will unlock in the post-match screen.

You need to score 8000, not “more”, because this is the ceiling for each category.
