How to unlock the Six Digits?!? achievement in Dead Rising 2: Off The Record - Definitive Guide

***************UPDATE*****************

The 'Somersault Kick' skill (aka backflip kick) is a more efficient method. Follow the original guide below, but use the Somersault Kick instead the Judo Throw. Thank you to zombiefurko, and ChristianPf for sharing this tip in the comments.

"backflip kick makes the glitch works 100% of the time you unlock it on level 24" - zombiefurko

"You get 3,620 kills every time" - zombiefurko

"Simply stand in front of the section of the wall shown in the video and hit a zombie with a somersault kick then throw a queen at the wall. That way you can forgo any annoying grappling mechanic and wearing the sports fan outfit does not hinder you. Took me approximately 20-30 minutes this way." - ChristianPf

I found this method on Youtube and felt it needed more visibility. I take no credit for its discovery.

This glitch takes around an hour to get 100,000 kills; it's much faster than the SUV methods and will save you ~7 hours. You will need the Judo Throw skill, which you get from leveling up. I believe it's random what skill you get at what level. I recommend you have max health and max inventory.

-Play in Sandbox Mode
-Take the elevator to the Underground Lab (elevator is on left side of the Palidades near a maintenance room)
-Fill your inventory with Queens. There's 1 on a desk in the office room and 5 more in the larger room. Go back to Palisades and then the Lab again to respawn the Queens.
-Go to Atlantica and then go to the wall shown in the video (it's on the left walking in from the entrance from Fortune Park).
-Continously walk into the wall. A group of zombies will crowd behind you.
-Wait for a zombie to grab you from behind. As soon as you're grabbed from behind, immediately break free to do the Judo Throw. You have to be very fast, so this can take multiple attempts.
-As soon as you throw the zombie, throw a Queen at the wall near the thrown zombie. The kill counter should go up by 3,620 kills.
-Exit Atlantica to Fortune Park. You can save in Fortune Park at the nearby Save Point periodically if you want.
-Enter Atlantica and do the Judo Throw & throw Queen step again until you're out of Queens.
-Go back to the Lab to restock on Queens. You may have to do this a few times.

Tips:
-If you throw a Queen and it doesn't give you the 3000-4500 kills, pause and reload checkpoint to reset back to when you entered Atlanica, saving you that Queen.
-You can also reload checkpoints if you haven't successfully done the Judo Throw, your health is getting low, and you already used all your healing items.
-Fill up your empty inventory slots with fish/beer/whiskey near the entrance each time you enter Atlantica. You'll lose health while zombies attack you while you're waiting to get grabbed to do the Judo Throw.

Don't wear the complete Sports Fan outfit. The zombies will never hold you from behind, because you'll make a dodge maneuver. It worked when I changed into different clothes.

I can confirm the tipp from zombiefurko. Simply stand in front of the section of the wall shown in the video and hit a zombie with a somersault kick then throw a queen at the wall. That way you can forgo any annoying grappling mechanic and wearing the sports fan outfit does not hinder you. Took me approximately 20-30 minutes this way.

Games glitched did this and didn't get the achievement. ACH Tracker stopped at 25k.

After reattempting this multiple times, and the achievement not popping. I loaded my save first save where i had 97k kills with the glitch, got another 3k by driving around which placed me at 1000057 . Two days later I loaded up the save kicked a zombie in the face, and it popped. So, it seems there may be a delay with this.

Whomever found this glitch - thank you. So easy to complete, and you don't even really need to face the wall or throw the queen at the wall. Just land the kick and toss. Unreal. Thanks so much.
If anyone wants to complete the challenges to gold, hit me up.

Had a similar issue as My Ringtones. What happened for me was I was using the SUV for pride or something IDK, and I died to the roof snipers and lost like 4k kills. So screw pride, started using the glitch. It worked, but the achievement stopped tracked after the death. Sure enough, gave it a few days, loaded the saved, killed 1 zombie to put me at 100,014, it popped.

Mine stopped tracking at 11%. Got to 100,000 kills, saved and quit, power reset my xbox, loaded back in, got a kill, and it popped.

You don’t even need to do the skill move, I got grabbed by a zombie wiggled the LS and threw a queen at the wall and still got over 3k kills

You don't need to use a skill move, you don't need to run into the wall, you don't need to be grabbed... All that needs to be done is to kill a zombie reasonably close to the poster (I used a lightsaber) and then throw a queen bee down lol

So for anyone having issues getting Judo Throw to work like I was basically I realized just go crazy with the left stick as fast as possible. It doesn't need to be pushed in a certain direction or anything like that, which is what some of the information I was finding online was saying. Also just to note as soon as I hit level 18 I went to sandbox mode. To go from 0 kills in sandbox level 18 to level 50 it took approximately 144369 kills. This is without magazines or any other modifications to the original strategy.

here is a video capture of me doing the 'Somersault Kick' skill (aka backflip kick) glitch.
didn't bother to save after every time, just exiting Atlantica casino and entering again was enough ( the game creates a checkpoint anyway ).

I had to make 2 trips to the Phenotran research area as described in the other guide.. I was level 50 and kept 3 spaces full with magazines and a weapon (unrelated).

took me probably 30mins to do this achievement with a small head start in kills.
Sorry, this Game Clip has been removed

If you plan to use the Atlantica Casino trick: SAVE THIS ACHIEVEMENT FOR LAST OR AT LEAST HIT LEVEL 50 BEFORE GOING FOR THIS. Using the glitch had me skyrocket to level 50 which apparently glitched Hands of Doom and a few other achievements. Just get to level 50 legit before going with the guides above

WARNING: This will not unlock if your connected to somebody in co-op and you're not the host.

Note: Don't even bother attempting this outside of sandbox mode as there's no way you can kill 100,000 zombies in 72hrs.

If you thought Dead Rising 2's 72,000 trophy was bad.. then you're in luck. This trophy is not as bad as it seems and you can earn it in Sandbox mode. Sandbox mode has an infinite timer so you don't need to worry about running out of time. There are many ways to grind this trophy, if you've played DR2 we will be using similar methods. You can use the durability magazines if you want but they're really not needed as you'll run out of zombies before the vehicle will break. After every 7,500 zombies I highly urge you to save your game, use the save point in-between the rocks in fortune park. Here are the best ways to grind this trophy:

  • The SUV - Firstly you will want to make sure you have the red SUV. It's located on the silver strip inside a small casino. In order to get the keys you have to visit the pawn shop directly opposite the SUV. The keys for it cost $2,500,000 which is a crazy price for an SUV (If you have all 3 bargaining magazines in your inventory it's only $1,750,000). Once you have the SUV you will want to keep running laps around The Strip and Fortune Park and the surrounding areas. There's no 'right' way to drive, just drive into the places where there's more zombies than others. When you feel you're running low on zombies enter any other area then come back, this will refresh all the zombies. You can also start the road challenge on the Strip which will spawn a ton of zombies in the surrounding areas. Using this method to get from 0 - 100,000 kills will take about 7 - 12hrs.

  • Slice cycle - To make the slice cycle you first need to go to the trailer that your bikes kept in (Outside the main entrance to Yucatan Casino). Once you've found it you need to combine a chainsaw to it. The quickest way to find the chainsaw is to go to the stage on silver strip, looking at it from head on, climb onto it. Now you will notice speakers on the left and right hand sides, climb up on the speakers on the left. You will come to a metal railing, jump onto this (be careful not to fall) and at the end of it is a chainsaw. Bring this chainsaw back to the trailer and combine it to your bike. Now you have your slice cycle go out and do some killing. The SC is very effective at killing zombies but the snipers can still shoot you off of it, so I recommend using the SUV to be safe. When you feel you're running low on zombies enter any other area then come back, this will refresh all the zombies. You can also start the challenge on the silver strip '' which will spawn a ton of zombies in the surrounding areas. Using this method to get from 0 - 100,000 kills will take about 6 - 11hrs.

Performed in SANDBOX MODE (no storyline, no zombrexes, saving survivors and most importantly - no time limit). In this mode, you must complete both cooperative and individual challenges. A friend can join you (but the zombies he kills will not count towards you or him), because... The main condition for the trophy is to be the host of the game (your zombies, of course, will count towards you). By completing the challenges (30 individual + 30 cooperative), I think you will kill 20-30 thousand zombies. The rest can be achieved as follows:

There will be an Extreme Off Road challenge on the Silver Strip . You need to kill as many zombies as possible within this street within 2 minutes. You take the magazine on the motorcycle, the motorcycle itself, hang the saws on it - and off you go. On average, 500+ zombies will come out in 2 minutes. The advantage of this challenge is that when it ends, you can drive up to the star (all challenges are designated by such stars) and start it again. This will resurrect all zombies in the area. This way you are spared from frequently reloading locations after killing a large number of zombies. In addition, you can use not only a motorcycle (by the way, there are 2 of them - the second one is near the arena, get on it, drive it to the garage, put the saw back on, there are also two of them at the location, and off you go, without reboots), but also a hummer. This saves you a lot of time.

Don't waste your time and energy on this stupid trophy, do it through a working glitch. However, I recommend using the glitch when you have already done everything in Sandbox - both medals in challenges and simply leveled up, otherwise you risk losing a lot of pleasure from the game process, because the glitch will most likely allow you to level up to the maximum level. If everything is fine with this, then I’ll explain:
- Just in case, you can wear a Sports Fan costume. Gives movement speed. Not prevent.
- Fill your inventory with bees. Queen, to be more precise. There are about 6 of them in the Laboratory, the descent to which is located at the bottom of the Palisades Mall through the elevator. When the bees are gone, re-enter the location, they will appear again.
- Go to Fortune Park and save, then go to Atlantica Casino. Once you have reached the location, go left to the advertising posters near the slot machines. The specific location will be shown in the video.
- We stand to the left of the poster in the middle. There Frank will stagger as if he is standing on a ledge. And we wait for the zombies to approach you, holding a bee in their hands. When there are several zombies around you, use R2+ to hit the zombie, and during the animation, immediately aim at the edge of the wall on the left, starting to spam R2 to throw the bee. If you did everything correctly, you will be awarded more than 4k kills. To do this again, re-enter the location.

The video shows the glitch process more clearly:
https://youtu.be/HG1xLTq8XEs

Done in no more than 40-50 minutes.
