How to unlock the Curiously Inventive achievement in Dead Rising 2 - Definitive Guide

*Don't bother to start looking for these until AFTER you give katey zombrex for the first time, THANKS TO "DAWGGIENITE" FOR CONFIRMING (see comments)

Tenderizers - Examine the "Blood Round 4" movie poster in the Royal Flush Plaza near the entrance to the Americana Casino.

Blambow - Examine the "Revenginator 7" movie poster on the side of Cucina Donnacci Italian Restaurant in the Food Court.

Freedom Bear - Examine the movie poster right outside the bathroom save point in the Yucatan Casino.

Snowball Cannon - Examine the "Brainfreeze" movie poster just outside the maintenance room on the 2nd floor of the Palisades Mall.

Holy Arms - Examine the "Pit Viking" movie poster on the wall in the South West corner of the Atlantica Casino.

Laser Sword - Examine the "Laser Knight" movie poster at the back of Paradise Platinum Screens on the Platinum Strip.

Paddlesaw - Examine the "Paddle Party Massacre" movie poster in the middle of the Silver Strip just outside the entrance to the Slot Ranch Casino.

Burning Skull - You need to give a total of $1,208,500 to the Fortune Whisperer machine at the entrance to One Little Duck Bingo on the Silver Strip.

Wingman - This is the secret combo card, apparently needed for this achievement. Combine Nectar and a Queen.

The Wingman card isn't needed. Went down the list and got it after getting the Burning Skull card.

To prove that the Wingman isn't needed, I've still yet to mix a single drink. To get a Nectar, you need to have mixed one to combine with a Queen.

It should be noted that you CANNOT examine them before giving the first zombrex to katie.

For an interesting counterpoint, mine didn't unlock UNTIL I did the Wingman recipe

The following is a list of all the combo cards that are hidden within Fortune City:

  • Burning Skull – Spend approximately 1 million at the Fortune Teller on the Silver Strip
  • Laser Sword – Examine the poster in Paradise Platinum Screens at the Platinum Strip
  • Blambow – Examine the poster at the Food Court in between Wild West Grill and the Italian
  • Holy Arms – Examine the poster in Atlantica Casino, Fortune Park entrance on your right.
  • Freedom Bear – Examine the poster near the toilet (save point) in Yucatan Casino
  • Paddlesaw – Examine the poster at the Silver Strip, across Hot Excitorama
  • Snowball Cannon – Examine the poster on the 2nd floor of Pallisades Mall next to Maintenance room
  • Tenderizers – Examine the poster in Royal Flush Plaza, in front of the entrance to Americana
  • Spiked Bat – Combine these in the first Maintenance room when coming from the Safehouse

There are 9 Combo Cards that are 'hidden' in Fortune City. For 7 of the cards, Chuck will get the idea from looking at one of the many Clint Rockfoot movie posters scattered throughout the city. One of the two remaining cards requires you to give $1,200,000 to the fortune teller (Zoltar!) outside One Little Duck Bingo (N102), and the last card for this trophy is the Wingman combo card that you recieve for the Tape it or DIE trophy.
