Dead Rising 2

There are a total of 50 Combo Cards in the game which are unlocked in a few different ways.


Level Cards:

There are 34 Combo Cards given to you as you gain levels all the way up to Level 50. You will receive on average 2 Cards every 3 levels and although the Cards aren't fixed to specific levels they're always unlocked in the same order so each Card will always be unlocked within the same few levels.


Psychopath Cards:

Flamethrower - Defeat Slappy during the Case “Everyone Knows Slappy” which starts from around 12pm on Day 2 in the Palisades Mall.

Rocket Launcher - Defeat Roger & Reed during the Case “World's Most Dangerous Trick” which starts from around 12am on Day 4 in the Atlantica Casino.


Survivor Cards:

Plate Launcher – Go to KokoNutz Sports Town in the Palisades Mall soon after 7am on Day 3 (thanks to Cormac for confirming the time) and you will find the door in the back labelled Tape It Or Die unlocked. Speak to the four survivors in here and Wallace will ask you to bring him a Cement Saw and Plates. Do so and he will hand over the Combo Card.

Blazing Aces – Firstly you must have spoken to the Tape It Or Die guys on Day 3. You must also have completed all Case Files up to and including 5-2 but may want to hold off doing 6-1 until after getting the call for the call for the TIOD guys (thanks to Gacys Clown and x DRabNORMal x for the info). At 9:15am on Day 4 (thanks to Vestri Sator for confirming the time) you will receive a call giving you a Case to rescue them. Bring them back to the Safe House and you will receive the Combo Card.

Exsanguinator – Firstly you must have spoken to the Tape It Or Die guys on Day 3. You must also have completed all Case Files up to and including 5-2 but may want to hold off doing 6-1 until after getting the call for the call for the TIOD guys (thanks to Gacys Clown and x DRabNORMal x for the info). At 9:15am on Day 4 (thanks to Vestri Sator for confirming the time) you will receive a call giving you a Case to rescue them. Bring them back to the Safe House and you will receive the Combo Card.

Power Guitar – Bring Floyd from the Case “Rock Heroes” back to the Safe House and he will give you the Combo Card. “Rock Heroes” starts around 4am on Day 2 on the Silver Strip.


Hidden Cards:

Tenderizers - Examine the "Blood Round 4" movie poster in the Royal Flush Plaza near the entrance to the Americana Casino.

Burning Skull - You need to give a total of $1,208,500 to the Fortune Whisperer machine at the entrance to One Little Duck Bingo on the Silver Strip.

Laser Sword - Examine the "Laser Knight" movie poster at the back of Paradise Platinum Screens on the Platinum Strip.

Blambow - Examine the "Revenginator 7" movie poster on the side of Cucina Donnacci Italian Restaurant in the Food Court.

Holy Arms - Examine the "Pit Viking" movie poster on the wall in the South West corner of the Atlantica Casino.

Freedom Bear - Examine the movie poster right outside the bathroom save point in the Yucatan Casino.

Paddlesaw - Examine the "Paddle Party Massacre" movie poster in the middle of the Silver Strip just outside the entrance to the Slot Ranch Casino.

Snowball Cannon - Examine the "Brainfreeze" movie poster just outside the maintenance room on the 2nd floor of the Palisades Mall.


Miscellaneous Cards:

Spiked Bat – On the way back to the Royal Flush Plaza after getting the Maintenance Room Key a short cutscene will play and you will get the Combo Card.

Wingman – Combine Nectar and a Queen in a maintenance room.
