How to unlock the Fully Outfitted achievement in Dead Space 2 - Definitive Guide

A pretty simple way to do it would be to spend your power nodes as you like and when you have enough nodes you save your game, respec (ie. pay 5000 credits to free up all the nodes you've used for a weapon), use those nodes to upgrade your RIG and Stasis, and then just load your save when the achievement pops.

So once your weapon is completely upgraded, you can pay 5k and get those nodes back?

Yep, that's right.

You unlock the respec ability when you get to the first upgrade bench in chapter 7 (The Solar Array). There's a small pop-up that explains how it works.

This achievement is pretty simple I'd say by the time you hit chapter 9-10ish you should have enough nodes. All together you need 24, 12 for the suit and 12 for the Statis. If your determined to get this achievement quickly I'd suggest spending your money on nodes from the store setting the difficulty on easy and playing through. This will easily get you 50-70 nodes per play trough possibly more if you spend all your money on nodes.

I agree with the "quick" technique. I'm playing through on Casual/Easy and I haven't once had to purchase any ammo or health so it's pretty reasonable to just spend money on nodes, if you don't want to buy another suit, that is.

The RIG and Stasis requires 18 and 12 Power Nodes respectively to fully upgrade them. You'll most likely achieve them very late in the game. On my Zealot playthrough, I focused only HP upgrades from the start for the RIG and did not upgrade the Statis Module at all until the later chapters.

You can exploit a glitch found by jpric18 of X360A which allows you to pickup unlimited Power Node to save yourself from an extra playthrough just for this trophy, see HERE.

The difficulty is that downloading Air and Chg is not really necessary, without them the game is easy to complete, and nodes are priceless. Therefore, they should be spent on this only after other trophies related to upgrading equipment.

On the video link:

a glitch is presented in chapter 14, where you can get an almost unlimited number of nodes by saving and loading the game, as well as replenish the balance of credits for purchases in the store. This glitch will also help you get the achievements The Electrician, Fully Loaded and Picking Favorites faster.

I recommend using the glitch during the first playthrough, so that when you repeat you will have fully upgraded weapons, stasis and suit.

In this glitch, you don’t have to go to the main menu every time, you just need to save, pause and checkpoint. At first there were no nodes in this room at all; they appeared only after saving and rebooting. Sometimes only one node or 3000 credits may appear.
