How to unlock the Remember the Alamo achievement in Dead Space 2 - Definitive Guide

At the very end of the game you will be in a room where you must shoot fuses to open a door.

So I don't spoil the story for anyone all I'll say is you'll be on your back when firing. Using the hand cannon makes this a very easy achievement, but it isn't necessary. Instead use any weapons you have but shoot 3 of the fuses before concentrating on the necromorphs (only Ripper's and the explosive ones will be there).

i used the plasma cutter to shoot the fuses and inbetween switched to my force gun which easily sorted out the necro's

The force gun method works perfectly, as you don't take out the fuses on the door.

TBH, screw the fuses. kill necros till chievo pops, die and then do it again concentrating on the fuses ;)

Upgrade the Pulse Rifle for Capacity and Damage or just use the "Hand Cannon" and try not to hit the fuses/door locks until the achievement pops...The "Hand Cannon" makes this E-Z..."Finger Bang-Bang" FTW Bay-BEE!!!

In order to finish the DLC mission you must open the ship docks door and let Lexine escape. The biggest problem is, you must kill yourself to open them because you lost your leg.

As you lay there bleeding out you need to shoot 4 fuses on the bay doors to get them to open. I suggest shooting all but one when you are first down.

You will then have around 1 minute to kill sixteen really easy to kill necromorphs. I was attacked by Slashers and the dudes with expolding arms. The pulse rifle made extremely short work of all of them.

*At one point I grapped a Slasher's arm and shoot it though another oncoming one. they are weak enough that they fly a great distance. I was able to get "Going for Distance" achievement doing this.*

As soon as the achievement pops, shoot the last fuse and open the door. don't wait, because you will be close to bleeding out and having to restart from the last checkpoint (it's right before you loose your leg, so not a huge deal if you do bleed out)

The achievement will pop as soon as the 16th Necro is killed; upon getting it destroy the last fuse.

If you fail, a simple 'Checkpoint Restart' for the win.

During this sequence you must blow up the 4 locks/fuses on each corner of the large airlock door. While your attempting to do this you will be swarmed by numerous amounts of Necros. You must simply gun down 16 of the Necros while destroying the fuses simultaneously. After I destroyed the 3rd fuse I turned my focus entirely to the Necros. The achievement will pop as soon as the 16th Necro is killed; upon getting it destroy the last fuse.

If you fail, a simple 'Checkpoint Restart' for the win.

Missable

Near the end of the game, you finally catch up with Lexine boarding a Transport and two Infectors on the ground in front of you. Take the two Infectors out, and go around collecting all the items in the area first. There should be a Store and a Workbench in the previous area where you came from incase you need it.

When you're ready, hack the panel near the ship and a QTE event will occur. Complete the QTE and Gabe will be heavily wounded and lying on the ground. During this part, you are required to destroy 4 Fuses on the far wall in front of you while Necromorphs spawn from your left and right.

Delay destroying the Fuses and take out the Necromorphs instead. There's no limit to them so all you have to do is get your aim right until the trophy unlocks, then you can proceed with the final objective.

At the very end, don’t shoot at the electrical blocks, but shoot at the monsters and the trophy will drop
