How to unlock the Slash Mode achievement in Deadliest Warrior: Legends - Definitive Guide

This achievement is actually a lot easier than it sounds. First thing you'll want to do is make sure the game is set to easy.

Then regardless of the fighter you'll want to make sure you equip the fastest armor and short range weapon the fighter has available. You do not want to use the fighters mid-range weapon as sometimes it misses leaving you vulnerable to attack.

Essentially it comes down to this. Hold block and wait for the CPU to attack, most the time it will only attack once. However, be prepared for it to occasionally combo its attacks. Patience is key here as it will occasionally dodge around as well. Just wait for it to return to a neutral position. Then use either an X,X or Y,Y combo. Preferably a Y,Y if the fighter has it as I found it slightly more effective in the fighters I used.

The two fighters to watch our for, whom I found to be the trickiest were Alexender and Sun Tzu. Alexander generally seem to take more hits than the other fighters and Sun Tzu generally did multiple strikes before jumping around a bit. Again patience and timing are key here.

Once you get the timing down and recognize the pattern of the CPU you should be fine. It only took me 4 tries to get there. If you just can't seem to get it down and are having real difficulties, just message me on XBL.

Also, you have to get 25 kills in a row with each character to unlock his goofy weapon.

I just did this with atilla the hun he was the last warrior I needed an item for but I kept going. There is no real way to put a guide for this since there really arent any one shot ways of doing it.

The best thing to do is be patient and try to be a character who strikes fast and hard like william wallace or sun tzu, best advice I can give is pick a character you are good with and strike when you know its safe.

I was trying for the 25 with Joan of Arc, and the person that kept fucking me up was Hernan Cortes. Everyone that was in my party last night knows how much I dislike him lol

Good stuff. Geghis Khan worked best for me as his X+X attack is quick and always a kill.

Hi Everyone!
For the Slash Mode achievement, you must kill 50 Warriors without dying in "Survival Slice"

The Basics:
To unlock challenge mode, you must complete arcade mode with all of the warriors on any difficulty. Ranged Weapons are disabled in Survival Slice mode. Choose the Weapon with the most speed. You can locate "Survival Slice" From the Main Menu By:
Single Player --> Challenge --> Survival Slice

What I Did:
I Chose Alexander The Great (His shield will be useful for this) and here was his layout:
Small: Kopis
Mid: Xyston
Costume: Linothorax
There is a slight glitch (noticeably useful, however) When you start this. When you begin, turn around and go left, and hide behind the desk (all the while blocking) and the AI will 4 times out of 5 run right into the desk. Their weapons will occasionally reach over the desk. Keep using the spear until your arm breaks. When they have finished doing the combo, Press (Y,Y) and it will kill them if they're close enough to the desk.

A Few General Tips
1) Patience is Key, DO NOT STOP BLOCKING until you know for sure they're done.

2) Occasionally, if you hack off an arm, the AI will stop doing anything if you don't move. They will bleed out.

3) If you get your sheild arm rendered unusable, block with your sword and then go out and do the (Y, X, A) Combo with your Sword.

4) The achievement will unlock as soon as the Kill Counter reaches 50.

Any Questions, feel free to send me a message on here (I will get back to you usually within an hour, possibly less)

Thanks, Hope this helps you guys!

This comes from youtube when I was searching for any other methods to getting the achievement I tried using the table glitch but to no anvil. I take no credit for it all credit goes to the youtube video and its owner.

The Setup
Armor: Light Lamellar Cuirass
Short: Mongol Mace

When it starts switch to your mace and shield then block, and then after the AI's attack hit Y once (or twice in some cases). Then do this until you unlock the achievement.

If you vote negatively please state why you did.

I found what I think is the best way to do this!

Guard on the side of the table near the wall. They will be a bit squeezed there and the best time to attack is when they jump sideways but still get stuck on the side of the table or to the wall. Then attack with A button! That will kill them or slice them! It has such a good reach if you use a spear weapon. Just guard all the time! And attack them when they jump there in between. You can also attack them after they attack but be careful with that.

The table I talk about is were you will see another table more back behind you and a big shelf in between these two tables on the wall. The table I talk about has two small round chairs in front of it. You want to stand between but a bit back so the opponent can get squeezed between the table and the wall. Sometimes they also get squeezed between the chairs jumping sideways towards the front of the table and you can press A to attack through the table. But do not stand behind the table. (In between the wall and the table).

And you will also see some kind of pentagram drawing on a metallic door in front of this table.

Another thing! If they attack 3 times in one attack, feel free to attack them since they never attacked me 4 times in one attack.

And always just block with LT until they die if they have lost an arm. Play it safe!

I think Hannibal is the best one using this strategy! His spear hits more easily than some of the others.

I cycled through them all one by one because you also need to get 25 wins with each character and in the end I got it with Sun Tzu.

(Shaka was the worst one)

Parry if you´re good at it and don't attack first! Wait until they've attacked you. For the most part they use just one hit but every few opponents use 2 or 3 hit combos so as soon as opponent attack is over quick attack him.
I used Alexander the great for this and just did the move all the time as a counter. Also a Warrior with shield would be a bit safer.
