How to unlock the Frozen Justice achievement in DeathSpank: Thongs Of Virtue - Definitive Guide

Once you download this, teleport to the Snowy Mountain outhouse. Emerge from the blockade area and follow the path in front of you to the right. Defeat a few enemies, and enter the cave directly ahead (near some burning debris). Talk to the guy near the entrance to begin the quest.

(A note: If you DL this and the cave doesn't appear, quit and reload your game and it should then show up).

This quest is pretty linear...just follow the path and defeat the enemies. Make sure to have some kind of fire-based weapons, as most of the enemies on this path are vulnerable to it. The Taking Tree is pretty easy to beat. Just use a fire-based weapon on him and the enemies that spawn and he'll go down in a minute or two. Crit potions will make this even easier. You don't have to turn in the quest for the achievement to pop, but you'll miss out on some extra XP if you don't.

Also note:This is also a good place to grind some XP and kills, as the enemies are numerous and worth more than usual experience. And given the amount of time it takes to reach the boss at the end, most of the enemies respawn along the path, so you can run back and forth grinding XP and kills in a relatively short amount of time. So if you DL this before finishing the 3000 kills/Level 20 achievements, this is a good place to make progress on both.

Best of luck!

Great solution. I used an awesome armor potion so that I could literally stand in front of the tree and hack away, and afterwards I boosted the 500 kills I still needed to make this game a 215/215!

Just to clarify, this achievement requires the Snowy Mountain DLC - 240 msp. You cannot get it with just Death Spank TOV

That's pretty obvious since the achievement is listed under "The Snowy Mountain Dungeon" DLC pack.

First all of all, it is recommended to be around Lvl 18-20. To get this trophy, first you need to enter the cave located East of the Snowy Mountain Outhouse. The enemies here are all very tough and I suggest having a decent Fire/Nature weapon. I had melee weapons with 500-700 Fire/Nature Damage and it made my life very comfortable for the normal mobs. Bring lots of non-Ice Bazooka and Grenades, as well as Orbs of Invulnerability too and these will make this task easy. The path inside the cave is pretty linear but littered with high level enemies, especially the Ice Giants that pack a punch. You can bring up the map with to see where you’re heading.

Eventually you’ll come across an Lvl 21 Orque Boss. This guy can freeze you in position, but when he did so, he didn’t attack me (glitch?) while I was locked in place (you can still attack him though). Defeating him will open up the gate and the path up to the Talking Tree, which is a Level 22 Boss. For these two guys, all I did was throw an Orb of Invulnerability standing next to them and unleash all my Grenades and Bazookas (the splash area effect will kill you if you’re not invulnerable). Both bosses will summon minions at various intervals but if you're using my strategy you should be able to take them down very shortly. Remember to press to lock on to them.

The DLC adds one dungeon to the game and one trophy for completing it. The entrance to it is located east of Snowy Mountain Outhouse, it is long and quite difficult, so you need to be level 20-21 and be prepared to go there. Most enemies are ice, so ice grenades and bazookas are useless. Ice giants need a strong weapon with Fire or Nature damage, the rest hit them very weakly. And of course, healing potions and invulnerability stones. Healing Major potions will drop from enemies and chests in the dungeon, but not in very large quantities.

The first boss is a level 21 orc who can chain the hero to the ground. I killed him pretty quickly using fire from heaven (Hellageddon stone) and invulnerability stones.

Killing the boss will open the gate, behind which a tree awaits. Notice the chest above, just outside the gate. I had a very possible weapon there with Fire damage of more than 1000, which could easily kill a tree. Run close to him, use the invulnerability stone and hit without being distracted by other enemies. The tree will die - the trophy is yours, and you can finish off the small change after respawn or not touch it at all and leave - there is no benefit from them.
