How to unlock the Raise Your Mast achievement in DeathSpank: Thongs Of Virtue - Definitive Guide

You must complete the three quests for Captain Taint in Scurvyville to gain access to his ship. The quests are:

*Collect a lemon-This can be found at the Strunken Farm north of the Destroyed City. Talk to the couple there and they will decide to separate. Ask Ima Strunken if she minds if you take the fruit from the tree and she will say that she does not care.

*Key to the ship-On the way to Scurvyville you passed a cave called Plaid Pete's, telephone there with the outhouse an enter the cave. Talk to Plaid Pete and you will end up fighting him. Defeat him for the keys.

*Rum-To get the rum talk to the bartender at the Haunted Crotch in Strumfuquel. He will say that his liquor license was stolen. To get the license back you must go defeat Worten. Return the license to the Haunted Crotch and you will be able to buy Rum.

Bring all three things back to Captain Taint and you will be allowed to sail his ship, which is located on the north end of town.

On the Southern Part of the map is a Pirate Town named Scruvyville. Here you will meet Captain Taint, an old friend of Deathspank who needs your help to get back his ship and set sail. The quests related to this are

1. Keys to the Ship - Retrieve the Pirate Ship Keys from Plaid Pete

2. Rum - No pirate can live without it

3. Lemon - The Captain needs for something weird

Glitch Note - A game-breaking glitch has been found with sefjwm where Captain Taint, which is the main quest giver for the tasks related to "Raise Your Mast" goes missing and doesn't reappear. At the moment there is no known solution. See more info HERE.

Currently reloading a prior save is the only possible solution, or replaying the game again.

Walkthrough

On your way to Scurvyville, you might have noticed that you passed a cave with an entrance that looks like a Skull. It is to the west of Scurvyville and outhouse in front of it is Plaid Pete's Outhouse. Enter the cave and speak to Plaid Pete, who is drunk and goes mad. Defeat him to obtain the Keys to the Ship.

Head to Strumfuquel and enter the Haunted Crotch bar. Speak to Grimtub and he'll tell you he's lost his Liquor License to Wortten. You should have this quest first before proceeding!!

When you kill Wortten (in "To Serve Men" walkthrough above) she should drop the Liquor License.

Finally, if you activated it previously, you can teleport to the Ima Strucken outhouse. There you will find husband and wife quarrelling and the wife upset about something. Speak to the wife and the husband will walk away. Continue to speak to her and ask her if you can retrieve the Lemons from the nearby tree and she'll agree to it. Do so and return to Captain Taint to gain access to the Pirate Ship. Go to the North of town and board the Ship.

Plot-based. Although the quest for the ship is issued around levels 6-8, it can only be completed after receiving the To Serve Man trophy

Story achievement. Need to talk to Captain Taint in "Scurvyville". When asked to borrow his ship, he will demand:
Lemon - You can pick it from the tree at the STRUNKEN IMA farm north of Beaux Kuckelle.
Keys to the Ship - Go to "PLAID PETE's" cave and defeat him. It is located west of "Scurvyville".
Rum - Must be purchased at Strumfuquel at the bar. You will need to return Grimtub Hobblepotty's liquor license from Wortten so he can sell you the rum.
