You should add that the Huntsman Silverback shotgun is no longer pre-order only, but can be obtained by buying the Tactical Enhancement Pack DLC. Just a thought. Good guide!

I upgraded the Pax-22 with mostly purchased upgrades but the achievement did not unlock. Is this known to be glitched at all?

The codes to open those first two shutter doors are 1981 and 2605. Use them if you don't have access to the AUDs as used in the video. Those auto unlock devices are exclusive to the Director's Cut version (or DLC).

Also at 3:09 in the video, the location might seem a bit vague. This last Reload Speed upgrade on the 1st office floor in Montreal (restricted area) is actually very late into the mission. It's not long after you take the funicular elevator down to the laser sensor room. You'll know you're near the area of the breakable wall when your Primary Objective will be to "Confront Eliza Cassan" and to "Get inside Room 802". Once there, start checking your map to find the exact location. This is just a head's up for those who are afraid of missing it or skipping past it on accident.

Also, the breakable wall will require the Cybernetic Arm Prosthesis (Punch Through Wall) augmentation. Get near the wall and press cn_X, then follow the path in the video to the final upgrade. 3:13

Throughout the course of Deus Ex: Human Revolution you will acquire many upgrades for the guns that you carry. These consist of Damage, Reload Speed, Ammo Capacity and Rate of Fire. Some guns will also have bonus upgrades such as Heat Seeking and Laser Targeting. The easiest gun by far to upgrade is the Tranquilizer Rifle. The upgrades consist of 3 Reload Speeds and 1 Target-Leading System. All of the other guns require inputs of damage, reload, ammo and rate of fire and then the bonus upgrades as well. The easiest way to obtain the Tranq Rifle is at the beginning of the game, the mission where you first come back to work with augmentations, when David Sarif asks you if you prefer lethal or non-lethal, choose non-lethal, and when asked if you prefer to be up close or far away, choose far away. If you are already in game and chose a different path I believe the earliest you can get the tranq rifle is from Seurat in Detroit. Happy Hunting!!

Edit: For those who have the pre-order bonus of the double barrel shotgun it requires 1 Damage and 2 Reload Speed. Information comes from Undervip.

Edit : If this helps as well, I finally got this achievement on the Lower Tai Yong Medical level from upgrading the Tranq rifle.

The specific location for the last "Reload Speed" kit that I found is right near the XP ebook "Better than Nature".

This is assuming you searched around or bought the other upgrade kits required (2 other "Reload Speed" kits and "Target" kit).

Note: You can also just collect and store the 2 "Reload Speed" kits and "Target" kit until the reach the location I mentioned above (where the XP ebook "Better than Nature? is) since that area also includes a Tranq rifle for free almost like the game developers created it that way!

Thanks to MxRugg for this information!

Double-Barrel Shotgun is the easiest I've seen. You only need two Reload Speed and one Damage Output to max it out. The double-barrel shotgun is a pre-order bonus though.

Really? Interesting. I will have to look into that on my second playthrough and make an edit from exactly which one it was. Thanks for the tip.

You can get the Target Leading System from the merc dealer at the beginning of the FEMA area; I've never seen it anywhere else.

Also: I've played through the game 1.5 times, and I've never gotten a reload mod. Where the hell are these things?

http://deusex.wikia.com/wiki/Weapon_mods_(Deus_Ex:_Human_Rev...) this wiki link has the information you seek Danny. I have found three target leading systems from exploring and going to gun dealers through only my first playthrough. If you need any info man just let me know!

Also, there are only four locations on that list, I am sure there are more as I don't remember two of those locations as being the spots where I found the ones I got. I actually think I found five because I remember putting two on a combat rifle a tthe beginning of the game

The second time you are in Detroit you can buy the Target-Leading system from the gun runner Grayson. I believe he also sells the ammo reload as well, but only in a quantity of 1. I actually think I found most of the ammo reloads and even the targeting system during missions as I hacked every door I possibly could.Usually the upgrades will be in rooms that have a security level of 5. Take your time with it as well. It is a long game and in all honesty you will get this achievement if you are patient and search everywhere. At one point you will find upgrades around enemy bases that you have no use for so there are plenty in the game to be able to get this achievement.

There are three guns that are fairly simple to upgrade simply because it does not take a lot to max them out.

Tranquilizer Rifle: You can have this in your hand as you start the first mission as long as you tell Sarif you want to take people out from a distance without killing them. To max this baby out you need:

1x Target Leading System
3x Reload speed upgrade

Double Barreled Shotgun: Slightly more difficult to get UNLESS you have the Tactical Enhancement DLC. If you don't, then you have to wait until your 2nd trip to Hengsha to snag this one. roll To max it out you need:

1x Damage output upgrade
2x Reload speed upgrade

Rocket Launcher: You can snag this one as early as Derelict Row, and it is EXTREMELY USEFUL on bosses if you don't upgrade your typhoon wink. All it takes to make this one uber-epic is:

1x Heat targeting system
4x Reload speed upgrade

You can find most upgrades during missions OR buy them from merchants as the game progresses.

Missable! In the game you will come across upgrades that increase a particular stat (Damage/Reload Speed/Ammo Capacity/Rate of Fire) for a weapon or bestow an additional function (Laser Targeting/Silencer/Armor Penetration etc..). These are obtained via exploration or purchased from vendors. Combine any upgrade that is compatible with a weapon to unlock. You can find the locations of each upgrade here: Weapon mods (DX3) - Deus Ex Wiki

The easiest to upgrade is the Tranquilizer Rifle, which only requires 3x Reload Speed upgrade and 1x Target Leading System upgrade. You will want to save any Reload Upgrades you find for the rifle. These are commonly sold by the vendors starting from Detroit Part 2. Credits to Maldron

Note: Due to inventory constraints and the fact that the Tranq. Rifle is glitched for Pacifist, you won't be carrying the Rifle or the Upgrades around all the time. You can drop the weapons or items anywhere in the City Hub (excluding one-time only quest locations), such as in your Detroit Apartment or Hong Hua Hotel, Hengsha, and the items will still be there on your 2nd visit. Just remember where you left them.

During the game you'll come across some gun mods. These are things that will either increase a guns ammo capacity, recoil, add laser sights etc. Your task is to use as many of these as possible on one gun until it's fully upgraded. Some mods can't be used on certain weapons, so either sell them or use it on another one.

To view any weapons stats, open up your inventory and select the weapon you wish to look at with the . From here select 'Examine' and you can then see how mch further you need to go. You won't get this achievement until late in the game, but the easiest one to upgrade is the Tranquillizer Rifle.

I advise you to upgrade your tranquilizer rifle.

You will receive a unique upgrade from the merchant at the FEMA base

We also need to find 3 reload upgrades. If you complete the rest of the trophies, then you will explore the territory and one way or another you will stumble upon the coveted gray cases. I also recommend checking the merchants.
