How to unlock the Kevorkian Complex achievement in Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Definitive Guide

One thing i might want to add --

This side mission is available in Detroit, during the Anti-Aug Riots. Unlike some other side missions, this side mission is only available if you meet the following prerequisites:

--Spoke with Frank Pritchard before meeting David Sarif after your story mission at Highland Park/FEMA Camp.

--"Won" the dialogue with David Sarif. Essentially, you must meet and satisfy the Yes Boss condition. This dialogue event may be satisfied after you first meet with Pritchard in Jensen's office (see above).

--Read the emails on Adam Jensen's PC about his background investigation after convincing Sarif to come clean about the network backdoor. This is after the war of words with David Sarif (see above).

Only having met all these criteria, will the mission be triggered.

I was not aware of the prerequisites for this mission as for my first play-through i got this mission and didn't think twice about it, (like most side quests) and when i was ready to go back to Hengsha for the second time on my second play-through i realized that i never got the side quest to pop up, i realized i hadn't read the files on Jensen's computer and wasted my 'play-through' for that particular achievement ...

Make sure you DO THESE PREREQUISITES before you leave Detroit the first time, i don't believe there is another time you get the chance.

Also as several people have pointed out, this achievement does NOT screw up the pacifist achievement!

For actually SOLVING the quest itself, see the above or below solutions.

Interesting thing to note about this solution, I still don't know what the actual achievement is about or how to get it. I think you missed the point of writing a solution.

Thanks, I tried to get this nearly a year ago but the other guide didn't say what the pre-requisites were and I missed out on it.

No, no I haven't. When I posted this 'solution' nearly 2 weeks after the other guy posted his, there was a bit of information that he didn't have in his so I posted it here as it was rather helpful. I know for a fact that you would have read his solution just under mine and there was no reason to re write everything he said just so my solution had it too. His was perfecfly fine, mine had extras to help as well. Hence why over the years so many up votes. So yeah, dont need to add whats already in front of us. I would be taking away from his votes then. Thanks for the downvote though! Somewhat pointless this late into the games release as my solution has too many up votes now. Regardless enjoy Deus Ex if you are playing it, amazing game!

this comment has nothing to do with the achievement or guide, just been noticing this a lot with this game. Been using this site for a while, written one or two guides myself. Never paid much attention to the votes, but this game has a lot of people complaining about the guides and downvoting people for (in my opinion) silly reasons.

If you don't know, the people writing and posting guides here are fellow members of the community. Some do this regularly with YouTube channels and for other sites, but to my knowledge this is all just gamers helping gamers. So if the guide is missing something, post a comment to help out. The downvotes just seem petty.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but if you aren't taking the time to contribute with guides then I feel like you are being ungrateful by downvoting anyone who took the time to help out other gamers. I dunno maybe I just don't get it, but I'm upvoting everyone from now on just for the fact that they took the time to help me out just cuz they were nice enough to share their experience.

Thanks for the guide Xeno, and thanks for any other of your guides that I may use in the future.

*****SPOILERS*****

This achievement is for giving Brent Radford a double lethal dose of Morphine.

This mission is a Secondary mission that Pritchard will info link you for after you return from Montreal. He will tell you that he has found a name of a detective who David Sarif was contacting through the backdoor hole. It is under this achievement:

Deus Ex: Human RevolutionAcquaintances ForgottenThe Acquaintances Forgotten achievement in Deus Ex: Human Revolution worth 19 pointsFollow Pritchard's lead to uncover the truth.

Head to the Waypoint marked on the map and you will come to a room above the Gun Dealer in the apartments. Kill or incapacitate the bodyguard who is in there. Caution, if he sees you first, he will open fire.

You will then find Brent Radford in the bathroom up against the wall dying from a bullet wound. Talk to him and he will tell you that he wont give you any details about anything until you get him a First Aid Kit with morphine in it. The First Aid Kit is located in the closet of the master bedroom, in the back right corner. Take the Kit back to him and give him a dose of morphine.

He will talk for a little bit longer and then will tell you that the illuminati guards shot him in the spine. He will be paralyzed without augments and refuses to get augements. Brent at this point will request that you give him enough morphine kill him. Do as he asks and score yourself the acheivement.

This trophy is available during the following mission:

Deus Ex: Human RevolutionAcquaintances ForgottenThe Acquaintances Forgotten trophy in Deus Ex: Human Revolution worth 27 pointsFollow Pritchard's lead to uncover the truth.

Please read the guide available for that mission to understand how to initiate it.

You will find this guy in the same apartment building you neutralized Double T during the "Cloak and Daggers" side mission (his apartment is literally across the hall wink).

Take out the bodyguard that shot him full of holes, and then Brent will demand you get him some morphine before he says anything about anything. Brent's trauma kit is in his bedroom closet.

Inject him with morphine, and chat with him for a moment before he demands more. Give him another dose and he will get chatty again. Once you get all the info you can, choose "Leave" and Brent will request you give him another dose and put him out of his misery. Go ahead and this trophy will pop.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not certain if this trophy will negate "Pacifist" (since you are, technically, killing someone by your own hands roll) but I would advise if you are going for that trophy, to make a save prior to speaking with Brent so you can simply reload the game after you obtain this trophy, and not screw up Pacifist.

If anyone can clarify whether this does nullify the Pacifist trophy, let me know either way in the comments below.

During the second story arrival in Detroit, Pritchard will give you the side quest "Old Acquaintances".
In the first stage of the quest you will meet a dying detective, fulfill his last request and inject a lethal dose of morphine.
WARNING . This trophy most likely affects the Pacifist trophy, so I recommend saving before getting it.

This is the second part of the quest, to obtain it you must, when talking with Sharif, convince him to tell you the truth about the information that he transmitted through his personal channel (if you fail, you will receive 100 XP “life lesson”). Along the way, you will receive the "Yes, Boss" trophy. The only correct sequence of answers is “ Reassure, justify, justify, justify .” Other options do not work 100%, I checked everything (CASI is not needed!). After the dialogue, we go to our office and read all the letters, and when we leave, we watch the scene of the conversation with Pritchard.

After this, on your second visit to Detroit, he (Pritchard) will give you this quest - inject morphine into the detective three times and the prize is yours
