How to unlock the Ballsy achievement in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Definitive Guide

Since everyobody is saying that it can only be done on mission 11 and by choosing the Allison quest line, I wanted to clear some things up.

You do not have to get this achievement on mission 11!

It can easily be done after mission 11 or 12 so it doesn't matter which choice you made.
When choosing and completing mission 12 and failing to save Allison you can simply go back to the Church Of The Machinegod and walk into the courtyard in the back and shoot some hoops.
It is located at the very bottom of the Prague map.
I personally got it while I was on mission 14, following the bank heist story, so it really doesnt seem to be time sensitive at all.

Simplest solution is to jump on the dumpster, jump on the roof, and just drop the ball through the hoop.

I actually got it on Mission 14 (while everything is a restricted zone). There will be 2 guards standing that you MUST stun before you can enter church of the machinegod. I was on Bank Heist play through as well so it DOESNT matter if you save Allison or NOT. You do not have to be on M11 or M12 to get it..

This only unlocked for me on my second playthrough when I chose Alisson over the Bank. I did it about 20 times in my 1st run and it refused to unlock so I'm certain you have to choose Alisson and go there first.

This takes place during Mission 11; and you must choose Allison over the bank in order to complete this. (If this is not the option you intend to make, create a manual save before the choice and revert back after gaining the achievement).

After choosing to complete M11 instead of M12, you will enter the underground Church of the MachineGod area. Head straight through the bottom area to the other side to find a small basketball court. Pick up a basketball and make a shot or dunk the ball in order to score and unlock the achievement.

You can still get it even if you did M12, just go to the church before attempting M13.

If you're still going for Tablet collector, you have no choice but to come here after the heist because there are 3 eBooks in the building...

Thanks, Marine1Ten. I had the same problem and I was freaking out. I did the Heist mission then completed the Harvester mission and came straight here. Neither Harvester not Ballsy popped but when I looked at my achievement list thanks to the above comment, they were both there. Whshew.

I tried to unlock this achievement after the bank heist mission. I saw an auto-save after I sunk a basket, but no achievement unlocked. Re-loaded and played the Allison mission and after I completed it: I sunk a basket and still did not see anything pop on screen but it was listed in my unlocked achievement section.

I have tried this during M12 just after the bank heist and I have hit about 20 baskets legit and also by dropping it from a height above the rim and it just won't unlock...

Mission 11 (Confronting the Bomb-Maker)

After you finish mission 10, you get the choice of doing the bank heist or going to the bomb-maker. Choose the bomb-maker, since you can't get access to the church any other way. Once you're at the church, go inside and walk straight ahead through the room to find a basket and two basketballs. Just like in Human Revolution you have to score once to get the achievement.

So I go to the church courtyard straight after the Bank Heist and start shooting hoops... not easy. But if you pick up the basket ball and stand directly infront of the net, aim as high as you can over the hoop, jump, and press X (drop) whilst in the air, you can score.

This achievement is missable and can be earned during Mission 11, Confronting the Bomb-Maker.

After completing Mission 10, you will be forced to decide whether you want to save Allison (Mission 11) or go through with the bank heist job (Mission 12). To get this achievement, you need to choose to help Allison.

Follow the objective waypoint and you will soon find yourself outside of the Church of the MachineGod (this area is locked prior to this mission). Enter the Church and make your way to the back courtyard. There are several basketballs laying around, and a hoop/basket attached to the nearby wall on your right-hand side. Simply pick up a basketball and shoot it into the hoop to unlock this achievement.

NOTE: If you chose to complete Mission 12, The Heist, during your playthrough, you can still get this achievement by visiting the Church afterwards. It'll still be open, just make sure to grab this achievement before leaving to Mission 13.

(Missable!)

This trophy can only be completed during or after Main Mission M11, or after Main Mission M12 if you decided to skip M11. Either way, head to Alison’s Church of Singularity and all the way to the courtyard at the back on the ground floor. To your right you’ll see some basketballs and a hoop. Similar to Human Revolution, you need to put the ball in the hoop, and the easiest way is to grab a ball, jump up to the ledge behind the ball and drop the ball straight in from the top.

After the 10th mission there will be a choice of who to save, help Allison. After this, access to the Church of the Machine God will open. We throw the ball into the basket and get a trophy.

If you select the bank, the Church of the Machine God will also open later.

There is an easier way than in the video from PowerPyx))
We pump up the antelope (increased jump), take the ball ( ), jump right in front of the hoop, release the ball( ).... Aaaand, he falls into the basket himself, ding:

You can get it before you go to the bank. Just go to church first and throw a ball, and then go to the bank. But the achievement “Godkiller”, which is completed in the same church, can no longer be combined with the bank.

I don’t know why, but my trophy fell out only after the second goal was scored! (I used both available ones, first one, then the second)

It seems that it’s not even necessary to throw) I ran, jumped (pumped up my jump) - and the ball, which I was still holding, hit the hoop, and I grabbed the hoop with my hands))) Slam Dunk!!

Don't even try to throw the ball with "R2", it didn't work for me. Just take the ball , jump high and stick forward a little, then release in the air
It worked the third time, before that I threw 5 mins through “R2” in different ways.
I didn't know about the trophy, but when I saw the ball and the ring, I remembered Half Life - I knew I had to do it. And I wasn’t surprised at all when I received the trophy)))

After mission 10, you should go to Alison's aid, and not to the Bank. Before going up the stairs to Alison's floor, go to the backyard. It's to the left of the stairs as you look at them. There you need to throw a basketball into a basket. Video.
