How to unlock the Service History achievement in DiRT 3 - Definitive Guide

Simply take one of the following cars from the Power and Glory pack, as an example we'll use the BMW M3 Rally, which is an 80's Rally car.

Choose the Kenya Rally from within the DiRT Tour year 1 - Rockstar Transworld Clash event (it's the second one across) and choose the BMW M3 Rally. Before starting the race you can set up the car (bottom option), simply slide one block from out of the middle and press 'B', complete the race. This will pop after completing the first race, you do not need to complete the whole event.

This will also class as one of the uses of a Power and Glory car for the "New Wheels" achievement.

Go to "My DiRT" from the main menu and then the sub menu - "Add-Ons", it should have an exclamation mark next to it. You'll then have the option to download it.

Don't just set it to download in the background, it didn't pick up for me, wait for it to download and it'll bounce you to the main menu where it will tell you there is new DLC installed and ask you to restart (basically signs you out of DiRTnet and back in), then the cars appear.

You also have to be sure to hit "Continue" after the race to continue on to the next leg before the achievement pops at the loading screen.

How come none of the cars from this pack show up in my Dirt Tour? I can use them in Singleplayer, but they don't even appear as a car to choose when in my Dirt Tour =/

@ WornOutSmiles - these cars will only appear in a particular Dirt Tour event if they are relevant to (or eligible for) that event's list of cars. The example NokkonWud gives above would allow you to use 70's, 80's or 90's vintage 'Rally' cars only, of which the BMW is allowed to enter (and appears in the list of available cars to choose from) as an 80's car.

Wanted to get this while just doing the career and you only listed 1 car so i then had to google which cars are actually in this pack :\

Because for this achievement you only need to use ONE of the cars from the pack, so I listed the BMW M3 Rally. For this achievement there's nothing wrong with that description. In fact, it's a guide from start to finish on popping this achievement, I fail to see the problem.

I didn't have access to the BMW M3 in this event until reaching Dirt REP 12.

The DLC seems to unlock gradually over the course of the Dirt Tour. I have the Complete disc version and this seems to be the case. The ingame add-ons show I own nothing, but the DLC content is there.

I tried this on Single Player and it didn't pop! Played the DiRT Tour event and it unlocked after on the loading screen after I hit 'Continue'.

You can’t download the DLC anymore. Your only hope now is to buy the “Complete Edition” disc, which has the DLC on it.

This achievement is quite easy. After downloading the pack, go into Dirt Tour and select "Season 1 - Rockstar Transworld Clash - Event 2", and the 80s discipline. Now use the BMW M3. Before the race, make sure you go into "vehicle set-up" and slide your gear ratio (or anything you want) one block down. Now back out, and complete the race, and the achievement should unlock. You can now back out after completing your race, and it will count towards New Wheels.

You can combine this with "Fresh Tricks", go to season 1 of the DiRT Tour and start up the last event in the Gymkhana Academy. Pick the Scion TC as your car. Go to Set up when you get to the menu just before the race start and just change any option up or down by 1 at least. Start the event and win for both this trophy and "Fresh Tricks". Put difficulty to 1 if you are having any trouble.

You need to win a race (by manually tuning the car) in the DiRT Tour using any car from the DLC.

DLC #1 Power and Glory Car Pack = 240 rub. (140 Mb) 06/14/2011

Personally, I was able to open the achievement quite easily:

DIRT TOUR
Season 1
ALPINESTARS TROPHY
AMERICAN RALLYX CROWN
FORD FOCUS ST RALLYCROSS (auto)

Before starting the race, select VEHICLE SETUP, and move any of the six sliders at least one square in any direction.
Win a race, and after the race results, you will receive an achievement during loading.

PS cars of this DLC:

• BMW M3 Rally (80'S)
• Chevrolet Camaro SSX Concept (Modern)
• Ford Focus ST Rallycross (RX)
• Lancia Delta S4 (Group B)
• Scion tC (Gymkhana)
