How to unlock the Capture Enemy achievement in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice - Definitive Guide

To capture an enemy, you need to first make sure they are a monster (humanoids will not be able to be captured and prinny's can't either).

Second you'll be throwing the enemy into your base. Now what's important here is the enemy will "Fight" everyone in your base. I'm unsure the exact calculation, but I'm sure it's available on line. Damage will be done to any character in your base.

However if you have a high enough level character, the fight is over quickly and minimal damage will be done. If you win the fight, the character will become a party member (usually starting off with 1 hp as it just got beat down.) If you lose the fight, all your characters become 1 hp, the creature reappears and your base is gone from the match.

So the tricks here is having a suitably higher level character.

So after the first few stages, go into an early stage with a monster, lift the monster and throw it towards your base, if you can throw it in your base, excellent, if not, get another character and continue til you throw it into your base, wait til the battle is over and if your base remains you'll have caught your first character.

Note: you will still have to complete the stage on a win or a loss if you want to keep playing, but the trophy should pop right away.

If you throw an enemy onto your base panel, a capture sequence initiates. As long the collective strength of everyone inside the panel is significantly greater than the monster's, you should successfully capture it. Note, you can't capture classes you haven't unlocked, tiers of classes you haven't unlocked, or monsters with a higher level than Mao.

You just need to capture the enemy to get this trophy. To capture an enemy, you need to pick up the enemy during battle and throw him at your base panel. If the characters in the panel can defeat the monster, you will capture it. If they failed to defeat him, then they will all die, and the monster will crawl back out. You don’t need to do anything special, but there are a few features:

  • You can only capture monsters with a level lower than or equal to Mao's level.
  • You can only capture monsters that you can produce.
  • You cannot capture Magichanged characters.
  • If a monster has higher ATK than INT, it will deal damage based on ATK.
  • If a monster has higher INT than ATK, it will deal damage based on INT.
Lowering a monster's HP and SP increases the likelihood that it will be captured.
